Full pen name: Monos Delainy Ophion Alba.
Motto: Flip the mirror and see things from a different perspective.

The stories I post on here are all a bunch of rough copies. However, I hope that they are at least critique-worthy for anyone who finds them.

Time for another round of Show, Don't Tell!

The word this time is...

SCARE!

1. To fill or be filled with fear or alarm.

2. To drive away by frightening.

3. An older meaning: 'To scare up'; find, gather, or obtain with effort.

We go by the usual rules: the entry can range from a wee paragraph to a drabble, play around with the meanings, use all 5+ of the senses - and, of course - DO NOT write the chosen word in the entry! For an extra challenge, try to omit some common synonyms like frighten or intimidate, as well!

Prizes: The top three places will receive a drawing from me inspired by their entries!

How does your protagonist experience fear? Do they feel stiff or tense? How loud and fast does their heart pound when trying to collect something? What's the risk that circles in their heads if they fail? How badly does every touch jolt them?
