I try to write from a place of honesty and vulnerability. However, with any such aspiration, a cold dark cynicism oft creeps in and expresses itself. On more than rare occasions these two entities(vulnerabilty and fear) seem to be having an intimate conversation, or a battle, within a piece itself. And whether explicit or not, each work is either buoyed by a soft, distant hope or anchored by deep longing. I aspire to be continually taking off my masks and giving oxygen to hidden, estranged parts of myself. If for no other reason than because when i don't express my vulnerable creativity or twisted emotion, they lay hidden within my body and psyche, gathering strength, and later, most always at inopportune times, kick up ugly, disrupting fits. So I come to you with my shadows and dreams on the table in the form of Word, Lyric, and Song. If your looking for virtuosity or super-refined productions, you WILL NOT find that here.
