I decided it would be safest to hide in the staff washroom, so I locked myself in there. I thought it would be better if there were two locked doors for whoever was that was terrorizing the school to have to get past to kill me. I soon realized a fatal flaw in my plan, though. The staff washroom obviously had no windows, which meant that if the suspicious person were to get though the two doors, then I would have no way to escape. I checked my pocket for my phone, and sure enough it was there. I attempted to call 911, even though the office had probably already done so, but to my surprise there was no cell service! I looked around the staff washroom. A can of Febreze sat in the corner, supposedly smelling like lemon. The sink was tiny, and had a small bottle of soap next to it. I turned out the lights so the school intruder wouldn't notice them and come for me. I clicked the power on button attached to the side of my phone and set the brightness to the lowest level. I opened up the Webtoon app and sat down in the corner to read some webcomics.
After reading a few episodes of Survival, the web comic I started reading over the holiday break, I started to worry about my friends. The armed man would be in the school by now. I sent Caroline and Marsha, another one of my friends, each a text asking them if they were ok, and if Alia, who was one of my best friends, was ok, but neither responded. Marsha's phone was probably in her locker, but Caroline on the other hand always kept her's with her. I hoped nothing bad had happened to them. I sent out some texts to some of the students in Ms. Norton's class, and Ella, yet another one of my friends, replied that they were all ok. It was good to know that Ella, Emily, Isabel, Petunia, and the other students of Ms. Norton's class were doing fine.
I heard footsteps and froze, eyes wide open like saucers. Was it the school intruder? I shivered and put on the mauve hoodie that had been wrapped around my waist. I covered my long, brown hair with the hood, and listened carefully for sounds. The footsteps went right by. I let out a loud sigh of relief. I decided that since you can't see the staffroom from the door much it was safe to stay in there instead of this foul-smelling washroom. I turned off my phone and put it back in my pocket. I got up and had to move my leg around a bit, due to the fact that it went numb from sitting crouched in a corner for a while. I went over to the door and tried to turn the doorknob but to my surprize, it would not budge!ns22.214.171.124da2
