Emily opened the door to a panting Abby. They looked her over, and froze at the red skin all up and down her arms. "Em..." they said, shaking their head.762Please respect copyright.PENANAjbRmgdCQNh
"It itched," Emily defended. "And it wouldn't stop."
"Let's rewatch the Sherlock special to take your mind off it," Abby decided.
"I'm fine, Abby," Emily insisted.
"Then you won't mind watching the special with me anyway."
Emily started scratching her arm and Abby flicked her. "Hey!"
"No," Abby said.
Emily grumbled and opened the DVD case that hid the latest episode of Sherlock. "I'm fine. I just wanted to say that I loved you. I don't say it enough."
"Emily, you're a depressed and suicidal friend. I'm going to worry if you say things like that."
She looked over and looked at their face, etched with concern. After a long moment of thinking, she smiled at them. "I'm fine, really," she decided. "Just having a worse day than usual. Shall we begin?"
Abby smiled back at her. "Do you keep your popcorn in the same place?"
"You know it!" Emily chirped, the anticipation already making her excited.
Abby came out of her kitchen with a fresh bag of popcorn as the DVD started to play. Emily grinned. She didn't know what she had done to deserve such an amazing friend, but whatever she had done, she was glad she did it.
