Red Roses Don't Bleed
Prologue
In the middle of nowhere the wind gushed and carried the sand with it as the disappointing sun gazed down on the badlands. What little life there wandered all fled as the atmosphere grew intense and power erupted from the bottom of the land.

However, when the wind materialised, it was a kind and humble man with a six feet long beard completely white with age and an impressed face. Quite on the contrary of what the creatures were expecting.

He looked around himself and beamed “Hoh ho ho! We’re back on Licht! Ah! What fresh air.”

A small creature that flew on his side that seemed to be a girl with a big head with pigtails and a small body that swayed up and down as it floated in the air frowned at the old man “Please dont lump a guy like yourself with Santa Claus master” The creature was awfully bitter.

The ‘master’ as he was called, also the God of Knowledge, the all knowing, mocked grief as his fingers played around the chords of the lyre that he held close to him “Ah...but I couldn’t hide my happiness...we’re finally back on Licht!”

In the so-called God of Knowledge's face, the only thing recognisable was his six feet long beard and his huuuuge nose. His forehead was hidden behind big white brows and long hair and his lips behind a white mustache that seemed to cover them completely. As for his eyes, it seemed they were forever closed.

“Shall I leave, master?” The Keepsake inquired.

“No, foolishness!” Marrar rang a tune that said “period” on his lyre “You are here to look after me, Hoh ho ho!”

The keepsake looked mildly annoyed “A keepsake does not care for its master, it only guards a prisoner and makes sure it doesn’t escape. You are not my prisoner and thus I am not obliged to listen to you or look after you under any circumstance”

“Oh, but you are!” The old man, Marrar played a tune on his lyre which would have been beautiful had it not been for his personality. “Now that you’re down here wouldn’t you perhaps like to feel the fresh air Licht has got?”

“This place reeks of miasma, what sort of fool would like to stay here?” It was hard to take the keepsake’s tone seriously because of her chipmunk voice. She sounded nothing less than a spoiled child.

Marrar laughed, one that didn’t include ‘Hoh ho ho’ “But you can’t return to heaven without me! I registered myself as your prisoner, hoh ho ho!”

The keepsake’s face reddened and her hands stretched downwards “You-You lying old man!”
Marrar laughed again loud and clear, starting to move farther into the distance, his white silhouette fading into the dust “Hoh ho ho! Now let's search for that troublemaker!”

From the distance, the keepsake’s fading voice emerged “But don’t blame me if I die sick of this miasma!”

“Hoh ho ho! I won't!”

“Damn old Bastard! You were supposed to say ‘It won't come to that’!” The voices faded until all that remained was the empty badlands and the noise of the wind gushing by. Quite unpleasant compared to the sound of two immortals.
