"Dion, our guest is here." Gavin says, opening the door slightly after knocking.
"Ah, excellent. Send her in, Gavin."
And Gavin steps out, letting someone past, then he leaves. "Nice to see you again, Kaylee." Dion says.
"Likewise, Dion." She responds.
"Uh, would you like some wine? I have 20th century wine, and-"
"Thank you, but no thank you. I'm driving, I'm not looking to blow any reading if Police pull me over for a random breath test at any stage.
If I have someone in the back of my van and they're already suspicious of me, searching it will not be good."
"Ah, yes. I understand. Anything else I can get your perhaps? After all, you are a paying client and I want you to feel at home."
"Soft-drink perhaps?"
"Uh, yes. I have sherby pop. Will that do?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Alrighty, let me pour the drinks." He says, filling up a wine glass with sherby pop and some aged wine for himself.
His guest takes a seat, a briefcase in her lap as Dion returns to his desk, handing her glass and starting to nurse his glass.
"You bought the money?"
She opens the case.
"Seems about right." And he pulls a form out of a folder in his draw. "The form is only half complete from last time before Kiera broke out.
"As I am aware as you told me.
Speaking of you, told me Elliot Coleman was here as well, I have a score to settle with him. Bastard stole my van keys, van and took someone also special to me who stumbled upon my doorstep as well.
For more money, can you get rid of him permanently? "
"Of course, and I just need your final signature now and I will have Kiera bought in here for you and you can have the copy of her file we have prepared.
One of my staff have already collected her for you."
She picks up a feathered quill, dips it in ink and signs off her name one last time on the dot and hands him the briefcase and they stand, shaking hands.
"Pleasure doing business with you, Kaylee."
"It has been a pleasure, Dion. My pleasure equally.
After both waiting around for a while, his guest opposite to Dion pipes up.
"What is taking so long?" She says. "Kaylee, I sincerly apologize. Let me go and find out. Our head supervisor should have bought Kiera Bailey in by now." He says, pressing down on a intercomn system.
"Gavin?"
"Ye?" A voice responds.
"Where is Kiera Bailey? Can you chase Nadine May up please, we're waiting."
And then he hangs up. "Can I offer you something else in the meantime Kaylee? Another glass of sherby pop perhaps?"
"No, thank you."
"Food?"
"What's on the menu?" And she raises an eyebrow.
"Not what the prisoners are eating, that's for sure. Anything you like, you're a paying client after all. A generous one at that."
"Sushi?"
"If that is what you would like. Oh, Sushi does sound good. Fancy some dumplings on the side too though."
"By all means, go ahead, Dion." She says, trying to hide the annoyance in her voice as he calls the kitchen, placing an order.
"Dion." Gavin says, radioing back over. "Yes?" Dion answers, hanging up with the kitchen.
"There is a slight problem."
"What is it? Spit it out, Gavin."
"Kiera Bailey is missing."
"Missing? What do you mean missing? Not again! Please tell me Elliot and his comarade are still in maximum security in the basement."
"They are, they are. Nadine May was found unconscious in the hallway on the 9th floor, nasty bruise on her back head and neck.
She said someone jumped her, didn't get a good luck at them as she was unprepared."
"Well, declare a lockdown then. Find Kiera if it is the last thing you do. If you don't, well, we won't talk about that...
Last time she went missing and ultimately escaped was an embarrassment to our company."
I know, I'll find her, I promise. Give me an hour."
"You have 30 minutes, do not make me do this myself again."
"Understood."
And they hang up. "Kaylee, I have to apologize for the mishap you just heard- Kaylee? Where'd she go?" Dion says confused, looking at the empty chair infront of him.
"Dion, never trust another person to do something you can do yourself. Our deal is off, goodbye." She says, standing behind him and he shudders, feeling her gloved hands on the back of his neck and skull.
With force, she smashes his head downwards onto a metal pen he has standing upright in a special holder. It pierces through his eye and right into his brain.
His dead within seconds. "Not an ounce of blood on me." She smirks, pulling the briefcase of money she handed him off of his desk. Then she heads to the door of his office, preparing to leave.
The next objective that has to go is Gravin, he won't be too hard to track down. Stepping outside, she pulls the doors closed and locks them with the keys she swiped from Dion's dead body, locking the room so no one can enter for now.
This will delay his body being discovered and give her time to burn this place right to the ground if she has too.

"Elliot! Elliot, wake up!"
Elliot feels someone shaking the life out of him by his shoulders. "I'm awake, I'm awake!" He says, shoving them off of himself. Sitting up and ignoring the pain his booty and back.
"What is it, Maxis?"
"We need to get out of here, NOW!"
"Why?"
"I heard explosions and I can smell smoke!"
"What do you mean explosions and smoke?"
"I heard the sounds of bombs dropping. I think the Military is here, they're no doubt starting to rip this place apart in order to try and get as many of us who are still alive back."
"So, what do we do?"
"Let's not wait around to get stuck down here and suffocate! We're deep underground in solitary. They drop more of bombs, this whole place collapses and bury's us!
They'll never find us alive in time, sorting through the rubble would take weeks!"
Says Maxis, pulling Elliot to his feet.
His shaky, but Maxis steadies him. "I know they sedative hit you hard, but you gotta pull it together quick.
I'm suffering too, Elliot." He says, kicking the door. Elliot follows suit,both kicking it at the same time.
The lock is breaking slightly, and the door opens an inch, but not enough, tons of locks still engaged.
"Ah, are you serious? Frick, we just busted the mechanism!" Maxis says. "Fuck!" He follows with, cursing.
"It's not all hope lost. We can still get out of here-" Elliot begins, then they feel the ground shake hard and the sound of something collapsing somewhere and the sound of air-raid siren starting up.
Both boys stumble around a bit. It stops a moment later and Elliot goes up close to the door. "Elliot?"
"What? Cause, I hope what you have to say is you have a plan. "Maxis coughs violently, a bit of dust in the air, tickling his throat.
"I'm a little skinnier than you now due to my Hanahaki expedition when I was missing and the impact the flowers on my health."
"Yeah?"
"I should be able to squeeze through here just and then unlock or break the rest of the locks."
"You sure?"
"Do we have another choice?"
"No..."
"Exactly." And Elliot starts to slide between the bent door and the frame. It's a tight fit and it bruises and cuts him a bit, causing him to cry a bit, but he pops out the other side with a bit of pulling of his own and pushing of his shoulder and booty from Maxis.
The sensation of Maxis hands on his booty... He blushes and stands up quickly, hoping it fades.
Standing up, he sees some of the lights are broken now, sparks flying and some hanging off the roof.
Not far is a guard's body crushed by a light that fell out of place. He gulps, and has to cover his mouth and nose to try not to vomit.
The sight of that pool of blood and worse he dares not think of... He sees the office open, a keycard there.
Then everything shakes again. "Elliot, hurry up! I don't want this cell to my tomb!" Maxis cries, postively frightened.
Henry grasps the card and slides into a card reader on the panel and sees a glowing button stamped All Emergency Door Release that is glowing.
He slams his fist down on it and Elliot sees all the doors open for other cells, including theirs. They don't open fully, but they're more than half way. Maxis slips out, now able to escape on his own.
He runs up to Elliot throwing his arms around. "Thank you."
"It's no worries. Now, let's go as you said. RUN!" Elliot responds, slapping a hand on Maxis' back, patting it.
Both boys start running off together, their hands interlocked. They find the staircase leading back to the main building. Rushing up it, they push on the door and it comes open, letting them out of the basement.
Then they cover their ears, hearing another alarm activate. The fire alarm on the wall starts to flash and sound.
All cell doors fling open, and several prisoners sprint out of their cells, racing outside. "Elliot, we need to get outside, okay?" Maxis says, pulling him and they run to join the group of prisoners running everywhere.
Unknown to them, a corridor over, Dion's guest slips out of the infirmary, leaving the door wide open and laying on a hospital bed is Gavin's body, plastic tubes tied around his neck.
His cause of death fairly obvious what has happened. A struggle, strangled him to death.
"Right, so where is Kiera? This place has gone to chaos and shit. You have got to be kidding me. What is going on?" She says, then trips to the ground and covers her head, several prisoners running over the top of her.
"We're rescued! It's the Goverment!" She hears a few prisoners start chanting. "Military? I-what? You have got to be kidding me!
I can not be caught here in the crossfire by them!"
When she has a chance to stand after being trampled and bloody bruises covering her hands and face, she doubles back inside and pushes open a fire exit to escape out the side and back of the building and starts sprinting across the parking lot to her van.
Pressing on the keys, she leaps into the drivers seat and tosses the briefcase into the back behind her seat and hits the gas.
She starts to drive down the road out of here, just as Military helicopters land and other veichles belonging to Dion & Gavin's company start up. Staff trying to flee too, she looks out her window, seeing four people and anger flares in her eyes.
She'll track them down, but right now, escaping is the urgent priority. Flooring it, she sees a young man with carrot colored hair climbing out of a helicopter.
An identical man to him who has exited as well, twins and they're in the way.
With no time to break, she slams into the one, their body splatting hard against the front of the van, then falls away and the twin to him lets out a horrified scream
Not looking back, she keeps driving and vanishes into the deep snow, a blizzard kicking up behind, leaving chaos turning into hell behind her.

Elliot and Maxis make it to a jeep belonging to where they escape from. Pulling on the door handles, it doesn't open.
"Don't have time for this!" Maxis says, aiming his elbow and breaking the drivers window. He then pulls the lock up, opening the door from the inside, ignoring the car alarm that has now sounded. He unlocks Elliot's passenger door and Elliot climbs in.
Elliot brushes out the glass so he can take a seat and pulls the door shut behind him. Both boys are now seated.
"You're injured, Maxis!" Elliot says, fiddling around with the car, deactivating the alarm with ease from the inside.
"Not now, Elliot. Escape first, my bleeding later. Now, how do we start this without a key?"
"Hotwire it."
"And tell me you know how to do that." Maxis says, raising a foot and kicking on a panel below the steering wheel. It falls open, revealing several wires.
"Connect the yellow and white one. Cut the red one too." Elliot says.
"With what?!" Snaps Maxis just as they hear the back passenger door fling open somehow, and someone jumping in the back.
"Here, use this. I have a utility knife." They say, offering it to Maxis.
"Thanks!" Maxis says, taking it from them without looking and cutting all the wires. Then he connects the yellow and white ones together. A minor spark and the engine roars to life, the headlights turning on.
Maxis flings the utility knife into the centre console cupholders, not noticing Elliot's face of shock who can't takes his eyes off the backseat.
"Okay, let's drive." Maxis says, pushing the gearstick into drive and presses on the gas, the jeep speeding off onto the main road out of the compound, past landing helicopters, fleeing prisoners and other trafficking employee's leaping into veichles in a desprete bid of escape.
After five minutes of vanishing into the blizzard and Maxis cranking the heat all the way up despite his broken window which will be a problem, but he had no choice and he doesn't pump the jeep as hard and slows down a bit.
"We need to find the nearest town, Elliot now and find a phone we can use.
Call my Dad and get airlifted out of here."
"M-Maxis..."
"You're cold, I know. I'm sorry. So, who's in the back, Elliot that jumped in last minute? We haven't been shot in the back of the head, you and me so I'm guessing they're not trafficking staff.
Anyway, welcome aboard the escape mobile, stranger."
"Maxis, it's Kade. "
"I'm sorry, who?"
"Back when I had Hanahaki, I didn't get a chance to tell you. You know the cream van I stole?"
"Yeah?"
"There was a young man, a few years younger than us in the back who had been kidnapped, and his sitting in the back right now in the same uniform as Nadine with Kiera in his arms."
Maxis slams on the breaks and the Jeep comes to a halt. Looking over his shoulder and letting one hand off the wheel, he stares just as horrified as Elliot at the backseat.
"W-what? Who are you? Are you actually a trafficking employee? And, oh thank god, I am so glad to see you have our friend, Kiera..."
Looking right back at him as a sedated, Kiera breathes out heavily. Kade shrugs. "He just said, and yes, I'm Kade."
"What is your last name? No bullshit, right now before I haul your ass out this jeep myself."
"Beckett, and I'm Kiera's younger brother!"
"WHAT?!" Elliot and Maxis say together.
"She is my sister, I have been trying to find her for years! Elliot, I texted you thousands of times, you never answered!"
"I was in hospital and then I went on this mission. I'm sorry, Kade, I never checked my phone at any point."
"And what are you doing in a trafficking uniform? I still wanna drag and pin you're ass outside right now." Maxis pushes.
"I infiltrated them on my own, considering someone wasn't answering their phone."
"Kade, that was stupid and dangerous of you. Have you been stalking me?" Elliot wonders.
"Yes, and I know... But I had no other options left. And look how you're Military's plan ended! And this countries to, they're working together!
Plus Dion will hire anyone. I was sneaking around the whole time and sticking my neck out for you both.
For all of you."
"I don't suppose you have a plan do you? Cause we got nothing or any money or ID." Maxis says.
"I do actually, I have a hotel room in the nearby town I booked ahead of time.
I've been living there and then commuting to 'work' via local bus services.
We can go there, sort ourselves out. You're both hungry, want a warm shower, some sleep in a real bed, a warm room with a door you can choose to lock no doubt--"
"Say no more, let's just fucking go." Maxis says, starting up the jeep again. "Give me directions though, I don't know these parts."
"Sure." Kade responds, starting to instruct him and they continue onwards, making it to the hotel, Kade is staying at in the nearest town sometime later. They're pretty frozen by the time, it dark too and they make it into the parking lot there.
All climbing out, Elliot walks right up to Kade, towering over him. "Hand me Kiera and you can go with Maxis to open the door." He says.
Kade reluctantly hands Kiera off to him so he can pull out his room key. Maxis snatches it from him and opens the door, they all go in and Kade slowly closes the door behind them, making sure the coast is clear.

Elliot stretches his arms, stepping out of the bathroom after a long, warm bath.
He just soaked for ages, for relaxation, but also the amount of grime and dirt that was caked under his fingernails and so fourth from life as a piece of a 'collection'.
"How was it, Elliot?" Kade speaks up from the dining table just off the small kitchen the hotel room has which consists of mainly a mini fridge, a kettle, a microwave and a sink.
"Ah, good. A warm soak in a bath was long over due. Had a good scrub and cleaned my hair too." He responds.
"I'm glad." Kade smiles. "Elliot, put some actual clothes on. Don't just parade around in a loose towel." Maxis chastises, tossing some boxer shorts and a t-shirt his way.
They have no clothes of their own, they're borrowing Kade's and for the things like underwear, Kade went out and got them some multi packets from a nearby cheap store.
"Aw, don't appreciate the site? You had no problem oogling my butt cheeks earlier. Even had a feel didn't you?" Elliot teases, causing Maxis to blush madly and hide his face in embrassment.
Kade looks away. "Yep, forget I am here too."
"Dude, we know you're here." Maxis says in a huffy mood.
A small laugh escapes Kade's throat. "So, what you working on, pal?" Elliot asks, walking over to the dining table.
"Uh, just consolidating all my paychecks, etc so everything is together." Kade responds, slipping it all into a binder and closing it.
"So, Kade." Maxis says.
"Yeah? If you want a after dinner treat, there is a few loose chocolate ice-creams in the freezer." He offers.
"What? No, I'm too stuffed still from dinner. After not having proper meals for a while, microwave macaroni just hit the spot."
Kade doesn't respond and slowly nods his head. "Kade." Maxis says, clapping his hands together. "What?" He says, looking directly at Maxis this time, his attention completely focused on him.
It un-nerves Maxis slightly. "Uh..."
"Elliot, interpretation please." Kade says annoyed.
"Okay, let's not fight you both. I understand you both don't know eachother well and this probably feels awkward for both of you, but you can learn to get along right?"
Both boys nod their heads, staying silent. "Great! So, what's your question for Kade, Maxis?"
"Kade, why are you here?"
"I told you already. Kiera is my sister, my older sister."
"I know, but she's 25 years old and you're what, 20?"
"21. Old enough to drink, thank you."
"Why wait that long to find her if a sibling relationship is what you wanted?"
"I only just found a year ago I had a sister. Me and some workmates from work we're fooling about. Drunk..."
"Do not tell me about you're underage drinking. I'm a member of the Military, Kade."
"We did DNA tests. You can imagine my shock when a letter came back saying I had a genetic match.
I was sober then and had forgotten about our drunk escapades."
"You didn't know before that?" Maxis says.
"No, I didn't."
"Kade, where did you grow up?"
"In foster care, but only 30 days old, a Christian couple offically adopted me.
They had been caring for me prior. Apparently I was placed in a baby safe haven box at a fire station, no one came to take me back after the 30 days the goverment gives so I went up for a adoption.
They said I was about 24 hours, maybe two days old even when I was abandoned. But at-least they did the right thing and didn't abandon me in a dumpster or something to die."
I didn't know I had a older sister out there, no one told me."
"Maybe the system didn't know, Kade. If they did, I'm sure they would have reunited you with Kiera.
Kiera is canadian born and only just crossed into the U.S about a year ago...
You're U.S born, yes?"
"Yes. I was abandoned in the U.S."
"That complicates matching up threads."
"Yeah, you're right... But still, to think I had a sister the whole time and didn't know..."
"I can't imagine how that would feel if I found out I had family out there I didn't know about. But I can sympathize with you that it would be shocking, Kade."
"When do you think Kiera will wake up? I want to talk to her."
"I don't know, Nadine May and the doctors had her on alot of medications, one's we don't know the names of.
But when she does, you're goanna need to let me and Elliot do the talking, okay?
Break the news, she's already going through alot and finding out she has a younger brother will complicate how she already feels."
"I hope it's sooner rather than later."
"Me too, pal." Elliot finally speaks. Then he yawns, and Maxis and Kade follow suit, unable to resist the call to slumber.
"We should hit the hay. Uncomfortable beds, disrupted sleep, cold sleeping environment.
We need to catch up on some proper sleep." Maxis says. Elliot nods slowly, then all three boys look at the beds avaible. Two double beds.
"Uh..." Maxis says. "I did not think about this when I booked the room. My intentions we're set on a bed for me and one for Kiera...
Not having both of you here as well." Kade says awkwardly. "Just so you know, you're not sleeping beside, Kiera." Maxis says, patting Kade on the head like his an obedient puppy.
"Don't talk down to me. I got you out of what can only be described as hell, remember? You'd still be there if it weren't for me." Kade hisses.
"Maxis, stop it." Elliot begs. "Elliot, share the bed with Kiera." Maxis says. "And the other bed is mine, I am not sleeping beside you."
Maxis lays down on it and drops a spare pillow and blanket on the floor beside it. "You have got to be kidding me." Kade sulks, reluctantly taking to sleeping on the floor.
Elliot shrugs and slowly lays down beside Kiera, slipping underneath the blankets. "Goodnight everyone..." He whispers.
"Night, Elliot ." Maxis says, switching off the bedside table close to him while Elliot leaves his on so there is some light incase Kierra wakes up.
"Pleasant dreams I guess, everyone..." Kade whispers.
Thirty minutes pass. "Kade?" Elliot whispers. "W-wha?" Kade responds quietly, half asleep. Elliot tries to move back a bit, but not squish Kiera and pats the small space left on the mattress, inviting the younger boy.
"Thank you." He whispers, curling up into Elliot who wraps his arms around him. It's awkward, but he doesn't want him to freeze.
About midnight, hours later where everyone's deep in sleep, Kiera breathes in and opens her eyes, looking around at the dark room, relieved a light is on. It briefly comes into focus.
Turning her head, she sits up slightly, confused.
She can see Elliot beside her, and someone curled up to him, Maxis?
Taking a breath out to calm herself, she lays back down and curls up in a ball, a few tears streaming down her face. It takes a while, but she manages to drift off back to sleep.

"Ahh." Maxis says, stretching his arms as he sits upon a plastic chair outside the hotel room, Elliot beside him. "It may be winter here, but the temperature is getting warmer I think.

They look out at the rising morning son.
"What are we doing for breakfast?" Elliot asks. "I don't know. Guess we'll confer with Kade, his the one with the money right now." Maxis responds.
"Yeah-" Elliot begins when they hear a scream. "Who the fuck are you? You monster! You monsters! I hate you!" Screams Kiera from inside.
"Shit, she's awake!" Maxis gasps, both boys leaping to their feet and sprinting inside.
"What have you done to me?! You Ring staff! Where am I?! I'll kill you. Where are the rest of you? Is Nadine May here?" Kiera threatens. Both boys make it inside to see Kiera has Kade pinned against the built in cupboard, a butter knife close to his neck.
His panting loudly. Kiera!" Maxis calls. "M-Maxis?" She says, slightly turning her head to look at him. "What a-are we doing here? Where are we? W-why's a Ring employee here..." She stammers, fear in her eyes.
"Kiera, I pounced on Nadine May in the hallway. Knocked her out cold, threw her into a wall. She wasn't expecting me so her guard was down. Normally, that girl would whoop my butt." Kiera says.
"I-is he telling the truth?" She asks.
"He is, I or Elliot don't doubt his telling the truth. His on our side."
"Why would a Ring employee join us? What happened, my brain feels foggy. I don't remember much."
"That's because you have alot medication to come off, okay? We we're on a ton too, but I guess the process was sped up a little as we we're running on fear and and adrenaline for a few hours."
"So, who is this?"
"My name is Kade Beckett, I infiltrated Dion's company, Ring on my own."
I'm you're younger brother. We both we're in foster care, but seperated."
"I don't have a brother."
"Yes, you do. And that brother is me. I was drunk one night with friends and did a DNA test. A link came back, you. I was never told I had a sibling out there.
I don't think the foster care system knew."
"I want a DNA test. I don't believe you, not till we take one."
"That's fair, we'll do a 2nd. I'll pay for it, I want you to believe me. Till then, can you try to open yourself to the idea?
Please? And no, I don't know who our parents are..." He begs.
"O-okay..." She says. "Thank you. Now, please lower the knife. Being stabbed is not on my intineary for today." Kade says.
"Kiera, give me the butter knife." Maxis says, holding out a hand. She slowly hands it to him and he takes it away, placing it back on the dining table.
"This was one way to wake up, I was still half asleep." Kade says.
Kiera says nothing. "Can I ask you something, Kiera?" Kade asks.
"You can try." She says.
"What age did you enter foster care? What is your earliest memory? Elliot and Maxis told me a bit about you, but there is some questions they couldn't answer.
"Being in foster care, but I was a week old. But I wasn't left in a safe place per say. Apparently was dumped in a basket out the front of a oprhange.
I bounced around the system alot after that. I stayed in homes for a long time when I was cute and small, but when I grew up... Many foster homes, group homes. But no one ever actually adopted me, no one wanted me.
I remember being quite rambunctious and a handful. I wasn't girly like the other girls I met. They we're all adopted.
I aged out at 18, didn't opt for extended. I don't want to talk about this anymore."
"Kiera." Maxis says bending down to her, an arm on her shoulder. "You know you're our family, right? You won't ever have to leave our house.
You're stuck with me and Elliot wheather you like it or not."
She nods softly. "She probably isn't feeling well, Maxis." Elliot says.
"His right, you we're on some strong drugs. Do you want some electrolytes? I have some sports drinks I can give you." Kade offers. She shakes her head.
"Can I go back to sleep?"
"Yeah, of course." And Elliot helps her to lay back down and tucks her in. "This is going to last a few days I think." Kade says. "Proably." Elliot responds.
Kiera falls back off to sleep rather quick. "Kade, I think you should give Kiera space. Don't crowd her while she's in a half drugged state and detoxing from them." Maxis points out.
Kade agrees and heads to the other bed, taking a seat. "So, what are we doing?
Are we actually going to stay here or are we going to leave?" Maxis questions.
"I'm staying here." Kade says. "My visa to be here is not going to end for a few more more months."
"Well, good luck to you then then, but we all have a home to return to in the U.S so it was nice meeting you I guess, Kade." Maxis says.
"We?"
"Duh, you think we're leaving Kiera here with you?"
"You can't just take her! She's my sister!" Kade says panicked.
"Then come with us, I don't care. But we need to return home, Kade. We still have work contracts with the Military.
Elliot, stay here with Kiera and this dumbo. I'm going to walk into town and find a payphone. Going to call my Dad's mobile." Maxis says, snatching Kade's wallet up off the table
"Hey, that's my money!" Kade says annoyed.
"Sue me."
"Wait!" Kade pleads. "What?" Snaps Maxis.
Kade pulls his mobile phone out of his PJ top. "Just put my wallet down, here!

Maxis snatches the phone his offering and calls his Dad. "Dad? It's me. Yeah, yeah. I know, things went went to hell there.
I'm okay though, and so is Elliot and... Kiera. I'm with them, dropping you our location now. Can you send someone out to pick us up? We just want to come home.
What happened back there was a long, worrisome story, I'm sorry. We can get over it in a meeting later.

"My Dad is coming to get us in a few hours. Stay or come, I don't care what you do, Kade." Maxis says, turning his back on him. He walks over to Kiera who's asleep and lays down beside her, gently brushing her hair a little bit.
She's sleeping peacefully.

Elliot is sitting outside the room on the plastic chairs again, watching the small town there in go bye. His trying to collect his thoughts, but it's complicated.
His never had any downtime, went from Hanahaki right into needing to bring Kiera home.
That shit with Dion and Gaven was hell. They've changed for the worst, they're not his family anymore.
Maxis and Kiera are. Vincent too... When they go back home, his going to ask for some time off for a while.
I wonder if Kade is going to come back with us? He can't read what the young man is going to choose.
Since Maxis made it clear what's going to happen, things have been frosty between him and Kade, it seems the young man no longer trusts Elliot like he did before.
And Kiera won't even so much as look at or speak to Kade. That's understandable though, she's suffering from what she went through, traumatized because of it, coming off copious amounts of drugs, and finding out she has a brother is the last drop of water in the bucket.
Her bucket is full with no room for more.
"No! Don't hurt me, please!"
Elliot leaps to his feet, hearing Kiera cry out from inside. "Kiera!" He calls running to the door. He realizes he didn't change it to unlocked when he stepped out.
"Maxis, Kade! Open this door!" He begs, pounding on it. The door opens a moment later, Kade pulling it open.
"Elliot, I'm naked right now! I just got out the shower!" Maxis calls from the bathroom. "Can you handle it?" He asks from the bathroom, hurrying to get dressed.
"What happened to Kiera?" Elliot asks Kade. "I don't know, she just woke up panicked. Nightmare I think." Kade says.
Kiera, Kiera. Look at me, it's okay. I'm here, Maxis is here. You're safe, we're no longer in danger of being harmed by anyone." He says, taking a seat beside her on the bed.
She rubs her eyes, wiping away tears.
"What did you see? Was it a bad dream?"
"She was pressing into my throat with her fingernails, she's done it before, not just to me. I couldn't breathe." And beings to sob hard.
"Done!" Maxis says, sliding out the bathroom. "What happened?"
"Uh, nightmare of a memory..."
Maxis bends down to meet Ellie's level similarly. "Mmm, you're eyes are kinda bloodshot and dilated. I think you will need to uh, sleep this off in a hospital where you can some help.
They can offer you help we can't provide you in a 2 bed hotelroom in the middle of nowhere, it's going to be okay though, I promise.
This is going to stay with you though, till you heal from it and overcome it.
We're not professionals, Kiera. Just your friends and family, but we can support you." Maxis tells her.
"I-I want a hug." She says. "That's okay, come here." He says, pulling Kiera in for one and Elliot joins in while Kade hangs back.
"Uh, I'm going to go brush my teeth... Please excuse me." Kade says, trudging into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
They sit together for a little while, then they hear a knock on the door. "Ah, perfect timing! Dad!" Maxis says grinning, standing up to saunter over while Elliot stays beside Kiera to hug her.
Maxis pulls open the door. "Dad! Hey, you're not-"
But then a gunshot rings out and Maxis is knocked to the floor, blood seeping.
"Maxis!" Kiera and Elliot squeal together.
"What the fuck was that?! It sounded like a gunshot!" Kade shouts, sticking his head out the bathroom door, a toothbrush hanging out his mouth, toothpaste throthing everywhere.
"Oh my lord, nope, nope! No!" He says, and pulls his head back in, slamming the door shut behind him.
Elliot quickly leaps to his feet, standing infront of Kiera who's on the bed, afraid. He raises his fists.
"Now, now, Elliot Coleman. Let's not fight."
"You'd prefer to shoot me wouldn't you? Because if so, get it over with then." He says.
"No, I want to leave you alive now. That way I know you'll suffer."
"Now?"
"Elliot, who is this?" Kiera says.
"Uh, this is a very powerful, but evil woman I met a while ago who clearly has connections and smarts to not get caught." Elliot says, his fists still raised.
"Kiera, get off the bed and move as far back as you can." He orders.
Kiera prepares to move when Elliot charges up a tackle. But the person he leapt for, vanished into thin air.
"W-wha? Where'd she go?" He says, looking around furiously to see a dark green green light appear beside the bed Kiera is on.
"H-how did you that?" He ask, a small disc shaped item in her hand. "That's for me to know and you to find out. Now." She says, pulling out a syringe and grasps Kiera's closest arm, injecting her swiftly.
"What did you inject me with?" Kiera says, covering the injection site with her hand when she feels the woman grasp one of her wrists, handcuffing it to the bedframe with a set of handcuffs she had on her belt.
"Ah, no!" She screams, tugging at it to try and get off the bed, but she can't move far. "Elliot, run!"
But the woman vanishes again, then Elliot feels a punch in the side of his stomach. He groans, rolling over onto his stomach.
The intruder places her boot on top of his back. "I don't play by other people's rules, Elliot." She says, kicking him one last time, again in the stomach that his screaming in pain, clutching his ribcage, unable to hold back tears.
He can't get up. The Intruder approaches the bathroom. "Oh, Kade. Come out here, sweetie. Don't make me come in there.
You know what I'm capable of." The intruder says, placing a gloved hand upon the door, knocking.
The door slowly opens and Kade slightly looks out. "Did you finish brushing your teeth? Did you spit?" They ask and he nods quickly.
"Good, so you're all ready to come with me." Gripping his arm, his pulled from the bathroom. "The Police are already on their way no doubt, but keep your mouth shut and don't squirm or I will hurt you worst than last time, you hear me?
You know I'm not bluffing."
And his dragged out of the hotel room into the parking lot. The back doors of a cream colored van are pulled open.
"Get inside, and not a peep out of you."
He nods quickly and climbs inside, them slamming the door shut behind Kade who gulps. Heading back into the hotel room, Kiera is dazed and succumbing to what she was injected with.
They undo the handcuffs and stuff it into their pockets. "Come on, Kiera. Walk with me." She says, pulling Kiera to walk beside her, holding her upright and helps her over the top of Maxis who's lying in the doorway.
They lead her to the front passengars door and have her climb in, closing it behind her. She taps on the door. "You stay there now, I'll be right back."
Kiera weakly tries the handle, but it's locked.
Heading back into the hotel room, Elliot groans feeling them drag him over to the bathroom and stuff him inside, pulling the door shut. They head to the wardrobe and pull a broom out, then head back to the bathroom, sliding the broom into the doorhandle, jamming it.
"Tell your General, hello for me." And
And then she's are gone, climbing back into the van into the drivers seat.
Starting it up, they leave the parking lot. A few bocks down the road is a random RBT unit set up. Hailed to pull over, she does. " Good midday Ma'mn. Where you coming from?" Says the officer.
"The emergency room." She's smile. "Ah, I see. Is that your daughter beside you?" The officer gestures.
"Yes, how are you feeling now, honey?"
"Mmmm..." Kiera trails off, struggling to stay awake.
"What happened to her? I see a minor bruise on her right wrist and she seems dazed. Maybe, you might want to take her back there? What time did you go in through the ER?"
"7 a.m this morning. She was practicing her basketball at the crack of dawn and had a seizure.
It's been a while since she's had one. Usually the medication keeps them at bay. She bruised her wrist when she fell over.
I found her seizing out back on the pavement, poor thing."
"Ah, that sucks. I hope she has a speedy recovery. You're free to go, Ma'mn.
I'm not going to hold you up any longer." And he waves her on.
"Thank you, officer." She smiles, and starts to drive off, the officer gesturing to help them back onto the road.

"Vincent Lopez. Do you know where the Morning Glow Holiday Retreat around here is? My GPS isn't working. There is going to be a bit of fleet coming up soon behind me.
