John’s POV
It is a week now to me being a new rookie. I don’t get the big deal about me handling this cold case, everybody has to hold a party up for me in my father’s patio.
“LETS PARTY BEFORE YOU GO TO KNOXVILLE MY SOULMATE!”
My brother Robert shouts before going up on the chair, screaming with a bottle of Zima, at the top of his lungs and ripping his shirt off.
‘Why did Mama allow this party to even happen?’
I facepalmed as Robert went as far as pulling Lydia up with him and poured the drink on them both, getting super wild with each other that I feel like I want to hide somewhere.
“Come here.”
One of my closest friends from school, Jean, brings a girl up to me. It took me a while to compute in my brain that that girl is Agent Raussen.
“Hey my man, meet my friend and colleague from church, Diane Jane Raussen.” Jean introduces her to me. “And Dia, meet my good mate from school, John Charles Daniel McForbes.” He soon introduce me to her.
“Nice to meet you. Miss Raussen.” I put my hand out for a handshake. “Just call me Diane Jane or Dia. Nice to meet you.” She returns the handshake back.
“Very nice name you have.”
I compliment on her name whilst being mesmerized by her beauty, the off-duty uniform she is now wearing, that blue-white dress, never I seen somebody fits those colours those perfect in my eyes.
“Thank you.”
She smiles. “Very funny considering my parents are German.” She continued. “You are in for a treat since Analyst Rhineburg is half-German.” Jean tells her and she looks at me in shock.
“I know my face doesnt scream that I have German blood but hehehe.”
I chuckled awkwardly and so did she as we continue the conversation with some slight indulgence from the good matchmaking friend of mine.
Keona’s POV

Henri says stretching and smiling away as we cuddle on our bed after we both finish work. “I love the way you make me feel as well~” I smile back hugging him.
“I still remember the first time we met, I thought America is a homogenous society but it isn’t~”
He then starts talking about the old times. “You still look like a beauty even after having 3 children.” He adds on. “Do you feel like I was a scam?” I then look at him asking jokingly.
“Noooo of course not~”
He laughs a little before pecking me on the nose as we continue talking about the old times. “I just couldn’t believe that I can meet a beauty like you~” He continues giving me a small peck on my lips.
