Tsubaki and I panted and rested on a nearby boulder in the forest. But we were ambushed by something called an Acorn Bird. It looked like an eagle with brown, rough skin, just like an acorn.

 

Tsubaki prepared her daggers and I quickly got my sword. The Acorn Bird was impervious to my attacks; however, one of Tsubaki's daggers made it screech a sharp cry in pain. As the bird fell, it slowly burned to death, giving us 40 coins and 50 XP, plus an acorn.

 

I picked up the acorn. "What's this for?" I asked as I just dropped it on the floor. "It can make weapons, or you can make a weapon out of them," she informed. "With one acorn and a boulder, you can craft a full set of armor."

 

"But how do you get a boulder?" I inquisitively asked.

 

"You need certain weapons, like hammers, to shatter them and collect the remains."

 

We looked into the cave. What was in there?

 

"So, Tsubaki, can we go in the cave?" I asked. "Sure, newbie. It's the second dungeon in the game," Tsubaki replied.

 

As we went in, the light slowly faded, but slowly appeared once again as we saw a torch.

 

That's when it started.

 

An enemy called a Goblin walked towards us. Its hideous face, green skin, and bare feet were what horrified me.

 

It laughed maniacally as it threw boulders at us. Tsubaki threw her blue dagger, which spontaneously transformed into a spear the height of a basketball player. The Goblin was impaled in the chest and only gave us a worthless 3 coins and 4 XP.

 

"Let's go to where the real fun is," Tsubaki suggested as she referred to a segment of the cave that was basically impossible for me to see because of the darkness. "Don't worry. I have my Fire Dagger," she commented. She stabbed a piece of wood and burned it. I was in awe.

 

After a scary walk in that segment, we were constantly being pestered by continuous hissing and laughing.

 

Two enemies greeted us: a Tarantron and a Silhouette. The Tarantron looked like a giant tarantula with a wholly metallic body, while the Silhouette just looks like a ghostly shadow of a man with a pointy nose.

 

My back was chilly. The Silhouette sneaked behind me and pushed me with his cold, transparent hand. I could feel lots of pain, but I didn't know why. He's just a shadow.

 

"God. These two enemies are the perfect combo for annoying players," Tsubaki commented while she tried fending off the Tarantron. "How?" I asked as I tried dodging the Silhouette's attacks. "These enemies make the perfect team: Tarantron's high HP combined with Silhouette's evasion will kill nearly everyone."

 

"So...have any information on their weaknesses?" I asked, getting pushed by a dark hand.

 

"Tarantrons are usually weak against fire, which can also scare off and kill the Silhouette," Tsubaki answered. She pulled out her Fire Dagger and repeatedly stabbed the Tarantron, which made it hiss in agony.

 

The Silhouette was still a problem. Later he bent over and multiple arms sprouted from his back. Freaky, I said to myself. His crazy arms were all over the place and started bouncing of the walls like light reflecting from a mirror.

 

Tsubaki finally killed the Tarantron. Its golden blood splattered and it burst, leaving hundreds of coins and XP. The Silhouette grunted and wildly hissed at us, running away.

 

"Any other dangerous creatures here?" I wondered.

 

"Saber Tooth Bears can be great threats," she replied. The name sounded very scary. "Let's get out of here before they come."

 

But it was too late.

 

Loud footsteps were heard and stalactites started crumbling and falling. "RUN!" I ordered, an we both rushed towards the exit of the cave. But a distraction was there.

 

Another Goblin. I slashed it furiously and killed it. The bear's paw could be seen, which meant we have to run.

 

Even after we exited the cave, the Saber Tooth Bear emerged too, breaking the cave as if it were made of paper.

 

It looked terrible: it looked like a giant, bipedal, brown bear with sharp teeth, like they were made of metal. The eyes were also really dark, as if it closed its eyes.

 

It roared fiercely and almost clawed me. Tsubaki rolled and stabbed the bear's leg with her Ice Dagger. The bear's leg was frozen as ice started growing. Soon, its whole body had been frozen. But very quickly, the bear thawed out.

 

It jumped high up in the air and did a massive shockwave, making us dizzy. I tried swiping my sword at it, but what good is a starter sword against a Saber Tooth Bear?

 

Tsubaki threw her daggers which instantaneously turned into spears. The bear was impaled albeit unaffected. It snarled at us and jumped up in the air again. This time, it curled up like an armadillo. The force when it crashed was even stronger than that last shockwave.
