Stork in Autumn

Majestic and regal,

The stork will move,

A ground eagle

With no reproof.

It’s long stilts

Make it’s pacing into a glide,

It’s head, wary, tilts,

Then bobs with pride:

Elongated neck

With boasting collar feathers,

Like lightning it pecks

At snails in wet autumn weather.
