Dear Reader,
This just picks off where we left off. I hope this isn’t too confusing. If so, I apologise.

I couldn’t understand at first. “Why did you sit here? Aren’t you scared of me?”
She stared at me like I was crazy, “You’re still you, stupid!” Then I laughed; for the first time in 2 months, I wasn’t alone.

Abigail was an A-grade student. She was guaranteed to be the valedictorian for our year. She would get the top mark in each test, no matter what subject. She was in the school swim team and the athletics team. Over the next year, we grew closer, becoming like brother and sister. I knew her thoughts and she knew mine. Then, during the Easter break she was gone, passing into the void. She left a note, telling her family she loved them, and whom she leaves her stuff to. On the back however, it read, “Abishek, sorry I wont be there with you at graduation. I know you will do me proud.” I felt numb, shell-shocked. Most of all though, I felt betrayed. Why did she just quit? Why didn’t she tell me? How could life be so bad that she just gave up?

However, to lighten the mood, I feel that I must tell you that I have received the job. Tomorrow I start work.
