There's this museum in the middle of the forest where if you open a magic door alone you will be fine, but if you visit it with a friend one of you will disappear for a few years and reappear right next to you looking as if they had grown up.

My name is Benjamin Marker and my best friend, Isaac Roman, had his cousin, Angela Monty, disappear when she went with her best friend, Sofia Lee. Isaac suggested that we go try to find Angela, but what will happen to us?

"People don't vanish!" she shouted

"I am not sick! I know what I saw! Believe me or not!"

No one would believe her but she was determined. Not to prove her point but to find her best friend who had vanished away.

But I was there, watching them as they did so. My jaw taut. My eyes narrowed in slits. Struggling to stay strong for them. To stay calm in the face of their gullibility.

But like them, I'm also a gullible person pretending to be on top of everything.

My visions are blurry. My head is a mess. My head is a mess from the start. I'm helpless, but I try. I try to keep myself together. Keep ourselves together.

A short story, "Missing Person" themed. It focused more of the aftermath. The emotions. The victims/family relative's reactions, kidnapped's feelings, kidnapper's thoughts? All in one.
