The future queen of Qingqiu Kingdom, Bai Fengjiu, has an abundance of suitors, but does not believe in romance. Finding the immortal realm too dreary and serious, she steals off to the mortal realm. In the mortal realm, use of immortal magic is not recommended, due to the dangers of it fizzling and backfiring on the user.

One day, when a stranger rescues her from danger, she decides to do it the mortal way and find out who he is to repay his gratitude. But what happens when she falls in love with him instead?
