Boris Brownly was so excited about Janelle’s journal that he read until he could no longer keep his eyes open. He didn't even tell anyone else that he had found the journal. Why bother when Montenegro had no extradition treaty if that's where she truly was, and he could eventually have her all to himself? He would go there, hunt her down, and make her pay.9Please respect copyright.PENANAwyV4tGH6lx
After reading about the mysterious doctor who took her in and performed these supposed vitamin experiments on her, he read about how they changed her appearance to make the trip to Montenegro. 9Please respect copyright.PENANA1ajgOj6QWl
He still couldn't get a sense of exactly where she was but was pretty sure the bitch made a point of not identifying her exact location. The doctor knew some people there, and from what he gathered, they lived in a small house on the coast. Or was it up in the hills in the woods? He couldn't be sure. 9Please respect copyright.PENANAQFjcprva93
Janelle didn't have a job and didn't seem to need one. She didn't talk much about her life in Montenegro, but she sure talked about her life back in the US a lot. The people she missed, the people she hated, and the people she wished she could seek revenge on. The more he read, and the more he came to hate the woman, the more he could finally understand that desperate desire and thirst for revenge. He didn't just want to kill her; he wanted to slowly torture her. He didn't see any way to trick her into being extradited unless the laws changed or he could somehow lure her out of the country. He didn't see either of these happening, though. But he would go over there soon enough and let her just try to shove him again. The question was how to catch her alone. 9Please respect copyright.PENANArSOuGbIfTn
He and the others who had been with her the day she escaped could have kicked themselves for not being better actors. According to her writing, she had caught the look he gave her after all when she dreamed out loud about all the things she thought she was going to do after supposedly testifying. So that split second of panicked realization on her face had been for real. After that, she did a damn good job of hiding her suspicions, even though she questioned things along the way.9Please respect copyright.PENANA9F18bWl12c
“Officer Gilbert had stared awkwardly at me after telling her I was tired and ready to go to sleep. I thought she would have the decency to get up and give me some space and privacy at that point, but nope. She just sat there staring quietly, almost as if she wanted to make me feel uncomfortable. Who the hell does this? 9Please respect copyright.PENANARRK6wAAZg3
“Yet another red flag was how the doctors often discussed my health with others even if I, the patient, was right there in the room. Whenever I insisted I needed to learn how to care for myself properly once discharged, they would just brush me off with the usual lame excuses. 9Please respect copyright.PENANAZbgcpdZQdM
“Every time the medical staff would enter the room to check something or do something, Boris or whatever officer was in the room at the time would stand up and approach the bed. When I started questioning this, they would just claim curiosity. 9Please respect copyright.PENANA5neowIaX53
“There was a hateful glint in Boris's eyes when I saw him the day I escaped, which told me right there that he wasn't over me shoving him off the ward. So when all these things added up and nagged at me, I knew it was time to trust my gut and not take any chances. If I had walked into the trap I later learned I was destined to walk into, it could have been weeks, months, or even years before I could escape somehow. It's a lot easier to run from a public bathroom than a jail or a prison. I would have been locked up for no less than a decade given what they had planned for me."9Please respect copyright.PENANALs7KMb3uRp
Boris often checked out any discussions he could find on Janelle's case, as cold as it had gone, to see if he could glean any info that way. The vast majority of the people wanted Janelle caught, tried, and convicted, but a few sympathized with her plight.9Please respect copyright.PENANA1kMXqx6rmZ
"Come on," someone wrote, "hasn't this woman had enough shit from the law? She's been lied to in every sense of the word, she's been shot at, she's been given sentences far harsher than some of her crimes, she was held hostage and watched her friend die, and now they really want to get legal revenge on this person who ended up saving God knows how many lives when she reached out to her old PO all because she smacked a guy too hard who messed with her first? Of course, it's sad that this man had to lose his life. Don’t get me wrong there. But maybe if he hadn't gotten in her face, well, I'm just saying. I won't get into the media torture and all the lies that have been said and printed about her, along with the fact that her child was abducted and the police wouldn't do squat to try to find it. As for who was involved? I’d put some of my money on the neighbors she had issues with, but even more of it on the husband. I always thought he knew more than he let on."9Please respect copyright.PENANAqTtdEulZoA
Boris thought of that and realized it was something he had always wondered as well. He met Steven Stone several times but just couldn't see him as a killer. He had, however, refused a lie detector test, citing he hadn't done anything and they were inadmissible in court anyway, while his wife had happily submitted and passed. 9Please respect copyright.PENANAkPoKgQqmQL
It was what he read next that truly got to him. Yeah, there were no shortages when it came to the surprises involving Miss Stone. Apparently, the good doctor was not so good after all, trying to traffic her to someone who wanted a housekeeper, cook, and whatever other non-sexual services they could get from her, and she ended up killing the doctor. She claimed they were out walking one day along a cliff overlooking the sea when she pushed him off the cliff to his death after accidentally catching him online trying to sell her via the dark web. Backing out of the room before he could see that she saw what he was doing, she had devised her deadly plan. The police and the people he knew never questioned his death and ruled it as accidental, leaving Janelle to his home and fortune. The thought of her living safely in a posh home with everything she needed only made him more determined to find her and take care of her. He clicked out of her journal blog and purchased a ticket to Montenegro.
