Lily happily passed out red velvet cupcakes to Miss Bustier, Nino, and Adrien from her red box.
"You look really pretty today, Lily." Adrien smiles at Lily, who blushes and thanks him.
Marinette growled lowly at hearing her obsession compliment her rival.
"It's wonderful that you and your mother baked these cupcakes for Valentine's Day, Lily." Miss Bustier smiles warmly while the Rossi girl grabs two cupcakes from the box.
"We wanted to do something special for this class. Plus, my mom and I love baking, so this day give us an excuse." Lily chuckles, giving the two cupcakes to Rose and Juleka.
"Oh! Red Velvet!" Rose beamed before taking a bite.
Lily hands two cupcakes to Chloé and Sabrina. They immediately dig in.
"Mmm, this cupcake is delicious." Sabrina smiled.
"I swear, Mrs. Rossi's baking has never changed." Chloé takes another bite of her cupcake.
"I'll say." Adrien agrees, eating a big chunk of his cupcake.
Eating the delicacy just took the two back to their childhood with Lily.
"Alya, Marinette, want a cupcake?" Lily offered.
"Sure." Alya accepted.
Marinette frowned at her. Alya shrugged.
"What? I like cupcakes." Alya said.
Marinette rolled her eyes and looked away. Lily shrugged and handed a cupcake to Alya. As everyone began eating their respective cupcakes, Marinette watches as Adrien delightedly ate his dessert with a scowl.
"Wish I had baked cupcakes..." She grumbled lowly.
After eating cupcakes, Miss Bustier was now teaching Literature.
"In most fairy tales, the prince breaks the spell by kissing the princess. Can anyone tell us why?" The woman asked.
Rose stands up and swoons. "Because only love can conquer hate!"
"Correct, Rose." Miss Bustier confirmed.
Max stands up just then. "Technically speaking, this reasoning is only exhibited in about 87% of all fairy tales and-"
"Thank you, Max. That's enough." Miss Bustier dismissed him.
Lily wasn't paying attention because she was trying think of a perfect Valentines Day poem for a certain kitty. Miss Bustier notices that she and a certain blond boy not paying attention to the lesson.
"Adrien, I hope what you're writing has to do with my lesson. The same goes for you, Lily." Miss Bustier said in a stern voice. "Can you two tell me what I just said?"
"It is common for a princess in a storybook to be placed with a curse from the antagonist of the story." Lily replied.
"That's why in most fairy tales the prince breaks the spell by kissing the princess because only love conquers hate." Adrien added.
The two of them smiles at each other and looks at their teacher.
Just then the bell rang.
"Very good, Adrien and Lily! Now, everyone, don't forget to finish Sleeping Beauty by Charles Perrault tonight," Miss Bustier reminds as her students began to pack and leave. "Happy Valentine's Day, students!"
Adrien watched Lily curiously while she went back to writing her letter.
"You coming, dude?" Nino asks Adrien, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
"Go ahead, I'll meet you outside." Adrien responded as he puts his poem in his bag.
Nino nods and leaves the classroom.
Adrien resumes looking at Lily as she continues to write her letter.
After a few seconds of pondering, she sighed and got up, grabbing her bag.
"What's the point..." Adrien heard her mutter as she crumpled up the paper and left the classroom, leaving her paper on the desk.
After she leaves, Adrien gets up with his bag and puts his poem in it. He grabs her letter and straightens it out. He began reading the words on the note out loud as Plagg came out of his jacket.
"Your blonde locks shine like the bright sun, your charming emerald eyes, I wonder who you are beneath that dark disguise. Every day we see each other, and I hope that you'll be mine, together our love could be so true, please, will you be my Valentine?"
"Whoa," Plagg spoke up. "I don't know a lot about love buuuut that's certainly a love poem."
"Who could Lily be talking about?" Adrien wonders. "Blonde locks like the bright sun? Emerald eyes?"
Plagg groaned. "Isn't it obvious, Adrien? It's you!"
"What?!" Adrien blushed. "No way!"
"Adrien, there's no other male in this school that matches your appearance." Plagg deadpanned.
"But what do you think she means by "dark disguise"?" Adrien questioned.
"Isn't it obvious? She's crushing on Cat Noir! And Cat Noir is you!" Plagg said.
The tips of Adrien's ears burned red. "Sh-She likes Cat Noir...?"
"Obviously, Adrien, or she wouldn't have written the poem," Plagg responded and then notices something, "Hold on, there's more on the back."
Adrien quickly turned the paper around and began to read. "My cherished friend. A bond that started long ago. We shared laughs and tears, had endless adventures and fears. But through it all, our friendship endured. A bond of two rope strands that will always be secured. Now, years have gone by, and we have both grown and changed, but still, the love I have for you is true. Will you be my Valentine? I can't live without you," He gasps. "Could she be talking about... me...?"
"She wrote two poems for you. One for Cat Noir and one for you!" Plagg figured.
Adrien's heart had never felt so full. His cheeks were a dark red and the butterflies in his stomach had grown. He felt so happy that Lily liked both sides of him. Perhaps...his birthday wish had come true.
"Oh, Plagg, I... I like her too." He admitted shyly.
"Then respond to her poem." The Kwami advised.
"You're right, I should." Adrien puts Lily's poem in his bag and runs out of the room.
Marinette's Room
Marinette is sitting at her desk trying to write a love letter to Adrien. "Dear Adrien, dear Adrien... Dear Adrien..." She sighs and scribbles out what she wrote in her book. "I'm no good at this love letter writing thing... I sound like a total dorkasaurus!"
"Only when you say words like "dorkasaurus"!" Alya teased, sitting on the chaise.
Marinette gives her a look of frustration.
"Relax, girl, I'm just teasing. Think of Adrien and speak from the heart." Alya advised.
Marinette pondered for a moment, then gasped.
"That's it!" She gets up. "Why didn't I think of that before? I'll write him a poem!" She smiles.
Rossi Residence. Lily's Room
Lily is sitting at her desk as she tapped her fountain pen against her white paper, trying to think of some words to write. "Ugh!" She threw her head back.
"Just write a poem for Cat Noir, Lily." Trixx suggested, sitting on her left shoulder.
"It's not that easy, Trixx," Lily replied. "Don't you two think it's cliché and cringy that I'm writing a love letter to him? Even though I know he and Adrien are the same person?"
"Not at all. I think it's absolutely romantic! Valentine's Day is a lovely and wonderful time to confess to your crush." Tikki smiled, sitting on Lily's right shoulder.
"You're right." Lily agreed.
"Just put the feelings that you're feeling in your heart onto the paper." Tikki advised.
"And if you can't do it, write to Adrien, your second crush." Trixx winked.
Lily took a deep breath. "Okay, I will. I got this," She took another deep breath before she began to write. She only stops to ponder before continuing. After she was done, she smiled. "All done."
"Don't forget to put your initials." Trixx reminded.
"My initials? No way!" Lily refused. "What if he finds out it's me?!"
"Well, you can put some sort of signature instead." Tikki proposed.
"Ooh, I know!" Lily smiles and draws something at the corner of the paper. "Perfect!" She then folds up the paper neatly and puts it in a white envelope, along with some red paper hearts, with a red heart stamp on it.
"Now it's time to deliver!" Tikki and Trixx twirls around happily.
Lily giggles, "It is. Let's go to my mailbox."
The transmigrator grabs her letter and leaves the room with her two Kwamis.
Pont Des Arts
Kim is waiting nervously for Chloé until he hears her voice talking on the phone. He immediately rushes forward.
"That's right, in a 24-karat gold frame. Deliver it to Le Grand Paris Hotel, and bill it to Daddykins, uh, I mean, Mr. Bourgeois," Chloé hangs up her phone when she notices Kim standing in front of her. "Kim? What are you doing here?"
Kim started stuttering. "I-I..."
Chloé stood there, perplexed. "You... what?"
Kim clears his throat and drops to one knee, unknowingly landing in a puddle of water. "Will you be my Valentine?"
Suddenly, a man on a bike rides past them, splashing Kim with water. Then, the wind blows and empty chip bag in his face.
Chloé gasps. She wouldn't lie; she felt embarrassed for the athlete and slight pity. Part of her didn't want to reject him because she already felt bad, but she knew if she did that, she'd be stuck in an unwanted relationship.
"Look, Kim," She addresses him. "I'm not looking for a relationship at the moment. I'm focused on my beauty influencer gig and school. So, uh... I'm sorry..."
Feeling awkward, Chloé quickly walked off.
Kim drops the brooch and pulls the chip bag of his face; he then drops to the ground and starts sobbing.
Agreste Mansion. Adrien's Room
Adrien sits at his desk, trying to write a poem for Lily, but he can't come up with anything.
He sighs and stands up, heading for the window resting his arm and head against it in distress.
"Aww, the poor boy's frustrated because he can't write a poem for his little sweetheart?" Plagg asked, teasingly.
"It's not funny, Plagg. Lily wrote such meaningful poems about me and Cat Noir. As for me, I can't even write one sentence." Adrien frowned.
"You're thinking too hard," Plagg eats the Camembert he was holding. "Lily is special to you, right?"
"Yes, but... so is Lady Scarlet." Adrien replied.
"But you like Lily more, right?" Plagg asked.
Adrien nods.
"Just relax your mind and let the words flow on the paper. They don't even have to rhyme." Plagg tells him.
Adrien sits down at his desk and takes a deep breath, then starts writing.
Outside The Agreste Mansion
Adrien is hesitating to put his love letter in the mailbox.
"Oh, for Camembert's sake, just put it in!" Plagg demanded, floating beside him.
"Okay, okay!" Adrien hurriedly shoves the letter into the mailbox.
"Finally. It felt like I was waiting for a thousand years." Plagg rolled his eyes.
"Do you think Lily will like my letter?" Adrien questioned.
"Probably. If she doesn't, unlucky you." Plagg snickered.
"What? No!" Adrien began frantically trying to open the box to get his letter out.
"Hey, I was just joking!"
Suddenly, something swooped by overhead!
Adrien and Plagg looked up and saw that it was Dark Cupid flying over them!
"By the time I'm done with this city, there'll be no love!" He proclaimed, flying away.
"Uh-oh, looks like someone got their heart broken." Adrien guessed as he ran over to a nearby alley. "Plagg, claws out!"
"How could I be so stupid?" Lily questioned.
"What do you mean?" Trixx asked.
"I completely forgot that Kim might get Akumatized today." Lily answered.
"What do you mean?" Tikki inquired.
"Kim tries to confess to Chloe, but she rejects him. I only hope that she turned him down in a kind manner." Lily prayed and let out a sigh, "I was so focused on my own love problems that I forgot about today's Akuma."
"Don't blame yourself, Lily. We all get distracted sometimes." Tikki assured.
"Yeah, it's not your fault." Trixx added.
Lily smiled softly at the two Kwamis, "Thanks guys."
Tikki and Trixx smiled back.
"Okay then!" Lily flipped her hair back to show more of her ears, "Tikki, Spots On!"
Outside Le Grand Paris
Chloé scowls as the delivery guys present the portrait of her, Lily, Zoé, Sabrina, Félix and Adrien at her 10th birthday.
"Ugh, I never said 18-karat gold. I was gonna hang this next to my gold mirror in my bedroom so they could match! Did I give you guys misinterpreted info or something?"
"It's okay, Chloé. We can fix this." Sabrina assured her.
Meanwhile, Dark Cupid prepares to shoot an arrow at her and goes to fire, but as he does, Lady Scarlet's yo-yo throws his shot off course, causing the arrow to hit the side of the delivery van.
Chloé and Sabrina gasp as they see the villain and Lady Scarlet gets in front of them protectively.
"Lady Scarlet!" Dark Cupid exclaimed.
"That's enough, Kim!" Lady Scarlet spun her yo-yo.
"I'm not Kim, I'm Dark Cupid! Destroyer of love!" The villain retorted.
Chloé notices the delivery van speeding away before she looks at the gold portrait.
"Get inside, now!" Lady Scarlet shouts at her friends.
Chloé tries to go for the portrait, but Sabrina picks her up bridal style and runs inside with her.
"The portrait!" She whined.
"We'll bring it inside later!" Sabrina retorted.
"I won't let you ruin Valentine's Day any further, Dark Cupid." Lady Scarlet declared.
"Well I won't stop until everyone's heart is crushed! Say adios to your loved ones. From now on, you'll hate them!" Dark Cupid gets out an arrow and fires it.
However, Lady Scarlet counters it with her yo-yo.
Dark Cupid proceeded to fire more arrows at the bug heroine, but she either dodged or blocked it with her yo-yo. The villain then began to shoot multiple arrows at the hero, forcing her to retreat as he continued to fire.
Lady Scarlet quickly turned around and threw her yo-yo at Dark Cupid, which he narrowly missed. "Eek!" She squeaked when she slipped and began to fall off the side of the roof.
Luckily, she caught herself with her yo-yo, which was holding on to a roof drain.
Meanwhile, Dark Cupid was flying in the air, looking around for her. A pink butterfly outlined his face.
"If you want to continue destroying love, bring me Lady Scarlet's Miraculous! Or I'll remove your powers!" Hawk Moth threatened.
Dark Cupid then began to fly away, flying right past Lady Scarlet, who was still hanging on to her yo-yo.
"Falling for me already, my lady?"
Lady Scarlet gasped when she saw Cat Noir on his staff leaning against a building twirling his tail.
"You wish." She chuckles.
"I need to talk to you." Cat Noir says as Lady Scarlet descended down to him.
"It's gotta have to wait. Dark Cupi-" Lady Scarlet gasped as Cat Noir hushes her and pulled her close to him by her waist.
{A/N: Just pretend that Ladybug is Lady Scarlet}
"I swore to myself that I'd tell you as soon as I saw you." Cat Noir says.
"Cat Noir..." Lady Scarlet blushes immensely, her heart picking up speed.
"Lady Scarlet, I-I... Look out!" Cat Noir yells when he saw Dark Cupid firing an arrow at Lady Scarlet. He spins around to shield her and is struck by the arrow instead.
"Noir!" Lady Scarlet cried out, her arms wrapped around him.
"Lady Scarlet, I-I... loathe you!" The cat hero snapped as his lips turned black.
"No you don't! Snap out of it!" Lady Scarlet demanded.
Cat Noir tightens his hold around her as she struggled. "You're nothing Lady Scarlet, and nothing to me! I hate you!"
At that moment, Lady Scarlet remembered what Rose had said at Miss Bustier's lesson from earlier.
"Because only love can conquer hate!" Rose beamed.
Thinking quickly, Lady Scarlet managed to kiss Cat Noir, right on the lips which caused him to go still for a moment. Lady Scarlet's cheeks turned scarlet red like her costume. Cat Noir is shocked for a moment, then closes his eyes, accepting the kiss.
Lady Scarlet then pulled away after a brief second.
"Huh?" Cat Noir shook his head, his lips turning back into his normal color. "Wha... What happened?"
"I'll explain later. We need to go after Dark Cupid." Lady Scarlet decided.
"R-Right." Cat Noir stuttered.
The Miraculous duo headed off to find the Akumatized villain.
Le Grand Paris Hotel Lobby
Lady Scarlet and Cat Noir entered.
"Chloé Bourgeois? Chloé! We need to speak with you!" Lady Scarlet shouted.
"Lady Scarlet, Cat Noir! It's about time, where've you two been?" Chloé asked.
"Chloé, did you encounter anybody today? Anybody who confessed to you?" Lady Scarlet questioned.
Chloé ponders, then sighs. "Kim confessed to me on the Pont Des Arts bridge. I rejected him as civilly as I could and left."
"I guess that Kim didn't take your rejection lightly." Cat Noir commented.
"Now he has a vendetta against me because I rejected him? Great, just great." Chloé said, sarcastically.
"Don't worry, just try and remain safe. We'll get him before he tries to hurt you." Lady Scarlet assured her.
"Thanks, Lady Scarlet. Anyways, did you see what I got?" Chloé pointed at the portrait outside. "It's a portrait of me and my childhood friends Adrien, Félix, Lily and Sabrina along with my sister, Zoé, when we were at my 10th birthday party. I was gonna put it beside my big gold mirror, but the tones of the portrait don't match, so I've gotta send it back."
Lily smiled, short reminiscing on the memory, "That's very sweet, Chloé. I personally think you should keep it and add your own flare." She suggested.
"Hm, that's not a bad idea." Chloé agreed.
"I-It's alive!" Sabrina shrieked just then, pointing ahead.
Just then Dark Cupid emerges from the portrait. He fires an arrow at Sabrina and Chloé, but Lady Scarlet counters it before she runs and slides under him.
"Quick, get out of here!" Lady Scarlet ordered the two girls.
Sabrina grabbed Chloé's arm and dragged her into the streets. Dark Cupid tries to fly after them, only for a staff to strike him in the chest. Lady Scarlet quickly uses her yo-yo again, ensnaring Dark Cupid in a tight grip.
"Cat Noir, the brooch!" Lady Scarlet called.
"Got it!" Cat Noir snatched the brooch from Dark Cupid.
"No!" Dark Cupid cred out.
"Sorry, need that," Cat Noir apologized, "Happy Valentine's Day!" He throws the brooch to Lady Scarlet.
"Awww, you shouldn't have!" Lady Scarlet teased before she intentionally dropped the brooch. "Oops!" She stomps on the brooch, releasing the Akuma. "Oh no you don't you nasty Akuma!" She catches the Akuma with her yo-yo. "Gotcha!" She releases the purified butterfly. "So long, butterfly."
After that, she summoned her Lucky Charm which revealed to be a red candy apple, "A candy apple?"
"Maybe to bribe him into be a sweet as candy?" Cat Noir joked.
Lady Scarlet chuckled and threw the candy apple in the air, "Miraculous Scarlet!"
The Miraculous ladybugs restore everything back to normal and revert Dark Cupid back into Kim.
"Huh?" The boy is confused as to where he is.
"Pound it!" The heroes fist-bumped.
Just then Lady Scarlet's Miraculous beeped. "Looks like I gotta go. See ya kitty." She waves at him and turns away.
"Wait, Lady Scarlet!" Cat Noir stops her. "I gotta tell you something." He admits nervously, his ears drooped to his head.
Lady Scarlet's face reddens when she remembers the kiss between her and Cat Noir. "L-Look Noir, about the kiss... I had to do it to save you..."
"What? A kiss?" Cat Noir asked in confusion, shocking Lady Scarlet. "What kiss? No, I just wanted to say..."
Lady Scarlet's Miraculous beeped again.
"Cat Noir, I gotta go! Can you take this boy home?" Lady Scarlet requested, noticing the baffled Kim.
"Don't worry, I'll take him home." Cat Noir promised her.
"We'll meet up later!" Lady Scarlet called out before she used her yo-yo to swing away.
"Yeah, later." Cat Noir whispered to himself and turned to Kim, "Come on, I'll take you home."
Agreste Mansion. Adrien's Room
Plagg laughs, holding a piece of Camembert. "Can you believe all the horrible thoughtless things you said to Lady Scarlet?" He asked Adrien before eating his cheese whole.
"You think it's funny, huh? Ugh!" Adrien flops down face-first on his bed, feeling down about all the stuff he said to his hero partner.
"What's the big deal? Take your pick!" Plagg searches through the cards. "Ooh, well this one looks fancy!" He grabbed a white envelope with a red heart seal on it and tossed it over to Adrien.
The blonde plucks it from the air, gently opening it and taking out the letter before he unfolded it and some red paper hearts fell out. "Wow, paper hearts. How thoughtful. Amazing, this person's handwriting is beautiful," He begins to read the cursive words. "To my beloved, so brave and strong, and from above, your humor and kindness fill me with delight, and I am drawn to you with all my might,"
Plagg digs himself out from the fan letters and flew over to Adrien as he continued to read.
"Your eyes are like shimmering emeralds, so lovely and bright, and your smile, it sparks such a bright light. I can't help but smile every time we meet, and my heart flutters with each greeting so sweet. So, my dear beloved, may our journey be one with no end, together we'll face all of life's tests, and I'll always be there to give you my best," Adrien finished reading and gasped.
"Aww, well, anyone who writes as sickeningly sweet as you must be your soulmate." Plagg decided.
"It's signed," Adrien smiles and looks at the signature. He gasps again when he sees it was an art of a ladybug flying away with a white dotted path behind it. "Could it have come from Lady Scarlet?" He sighs fondly and drops down on his bed, holding the letter close to his chest.
Plagg gagged. "Oh, please!"
The Kwami digs through more of the fan mails and grabs Marinette's letter.
"Huh, this one looks nice." He hands it to Adrien.
"I'm a little embarrassed, but I'm just gonna say it. I've been watching you, and I've fallen in love. Your eyes are a perfect green, and your smile is like the sun. You make my heart go "boom, boom, boom", and I'm just so crazy for you."
Adrien's eyes widened. He and Plagg looked at each other, beginning to feel uneasy. Nevertheless, the latter continues reading.
"You're like the perfect piece to complete my puzzle heart. Every time I see you, I..." Adrien pauses, gulping. "I literally lose my mind. I just can't help but fall apart. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I can't deny that you're the one who stole my heart and set it on fire. I wanna spend all my eternity with you, my love for you is true. I might be a little crazy, but will you be my Valentine? I'll always be there for you..."
Silence. Absolute silence. Adrien didn't know what to say. That love poem did NOT make him feel butterflies, it just filled his heart with dread. He had a feeling that whoever wrote this poem is an obsessive stalker. Someone he did not need in his life.
"Weirdest. Love poem. EVER." Plagg declared, feeling slightly anxious.
"It isn't signed," Adrien frowned and held out the letter to Plagg, "Plagg, please throw it in the trash."
"I'll do something waaay better. Cataclysm!" Plagg activates his special power and touched the poem, disintegrating it into nothing.
Adrien blinked in shock, "Wow, your power of destruction works on anything." He commented.
"I know." Plagg bragged.
Rossi Residence - Lily' Room
Lily is reading Adrien's letter. "Valentine's Day is near, my heart beats full of cheer. For on this very special day, I'm grateful for your gentle love in every way. Your radiant smile, it lights up my entire world, your laughter, it's like a song unfurled. Your touch, it soothes my every nerve. Yes, your Valentine I will be, our love will be so true, together for eternity, my heart belongs to you." She gasped.
"Oh, that's so sweeeet!" Tikki smiles brightly, sitting on top of her friend's head along with Trixx.
"Is it signed?" Trixx added.
"It is!" Lily's eyes lit up when she saw a signature at the bottom. It is a nice sketch of a cat's paw print. "It's from..." She looks out onto her window as the sun shines in. "Cat Noir~," She sighs in a dreamy manner, cradling Adrien's letter to her chest lovingly.
"I just hope you get some courage in the future and confess to him or Adrien in person." Tikki commented
"Instead of it being on a letter." Trixx added.
Lily blushed, "Maybe I will, but until then, I'm satisfied with the letter."
Lily was truly happy at that moment. She had a very good feeling that Adrien/Cat Noir was in love with both sides of her.
