We both giggle, and then I sigh, wiping away the tears. "What are... What are they doing right now? In the main hall?"
"Well, Eleanor is trying to figure out whether the fire in the fireplace is dangerous or not, even though the flames are shielded by the glass. She has collected a huge amount of books from the library, and she keeps flipping through them. I have no idea what she is searching for."
But I have. If I know Eleanor well enough, she is looking for anything related to the bond-craving and the long-term effects of drinking vampire blood. Especially that of a very old and powerful one.
"And..."
I can't even say her name, but Tyler gets it all the same.
"Avery is sitting at the piano. At least, she was there when I left the room. She was staring at the keys..."
"Only staring?"
She nods.
"Not playing at all? Not even a tune or something?"
Tyler shakes her head. "No, Righ. She is not playing..."
Shit, this is serious.
There's no way Avery just stares when her fingers are on the keyboard. Music is a pull she can't resist. And if she is not playing, it's because something is bothering her and her mind is far too distracted to even focus on music.
"Take me to them," it's the only thing I say.

Second-to-last. And maybe the most personal one yet.
Only one quote left after this, then we will use August to answer a few more FAQs and to rest a little (maybe from 20th to the end of the month).7Please respect copyright.PENANAMPzQloUEOs
