Marilynn finally decided to retire from her position as empress, and Aevaan got coronated as Emperor of Lunestica. He would not find a bride until the empire was fixed up again as it should be. He freed every planet ruled under Lunestica from Albrecht's reign and decided to change up some laws and scrap old traditions, as they were clearly out of practice now after what had been happening for the past five hundred years. They also built an alliance with Gaia, which became a well-known pit-stop for travelers among the stars.
Meanwhile, Alejandra moved into Luna and Christian's house while he and Luna got help from Abiatii and Alias, who had started dating themselves, to fix up the abandoned house across the street for the two of them to stay in eventually. Luna, when not renovating, nursed Christian back to health, in which he made a quicker recovery than expected, and he was quick to want to help with renovations as well, just to get them out of his house.
Days that passed turned into weeks, and those weeks turned into months, and with each month that passed, Luna grew uneasy. Though their biggest threat was long dead and gone, she truly wondered if this was the end of it all; if they could finally rest easy and live a normal life. She even declined her old position back at the palace and isolated herself from the others for a while just for some solitude, but even after all of that, it still did not sit right with her.
Then finally one night, almost four months later, something clicked.
The place Luna dreamt of that night was snowy and cold. The only thing she could see for miles was freezing snow and ice. Then, she noticed a silhouette in the distance lying on the ground. As she lurked closer, she recognized the figure's sharp features and silver locks-- there lay Albrecht with a bullet wound between his eyes the trickling blood still warm and fresh, and steaming against the cold air before quickly freezing to his pale skin. She shuddered, and looked away from the body, remembering back to the day he invaded Gaia three months ago and Christian shooting him in the head because he almost killed her. She looked up again because she saw a shadow from the corner of her eye, and saw a black wispy figure seeping out of his body through every visible hole she could see on his face. A few seconds later, he opened his eyes--no longer milky and dead--but that same icy blue she knew before...
She shot up out of bed screaming and coughing, as she would when waking up from a vision of the sort. She looked next to her for Alejandra for comfort but remembered that he was in Lunestica for the week, so he would not be in bed next to her. She breathed heavily, eventually heaving and vomiting into the garbage bin next to her side of the bed. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed heavily before another wave of nausea swept over her, making her vomit again. This cycle continued for fifteen minutes before she had the strength to get up and take the trash bag she vomited out to the dumpster outside.
Another vision about him means more trouble, she thought. But was it worth telling anybody, or was she just imagining it?
