(Anita Amour)
“His mom was dead like that?” I asked slowly, eyes wide with horror. I covered my mouth. Vera was trembling.
Lunar nodded.
“And his father too,” Vera started, placing his hands on his chest with a concerned expression on his face. “In just as bad a state.”
“They were both done by something unnatural. Besides, they only had one son. So that’s why it must’ve been him. There are no other clues pointing out otherwise.”
“And this helps us?” Anita asked.
“Obviously it pumps you up,” Lunar replied, raising an eyebrow and shooting a smirk. “Now you really wanna get him, yeah?”
“Uh-”
“It doesn’t matter how upsetting or tragic it may sound,” She tried again. “All that matters is that it is true. And we can’t handle this situation like we do with normal people. He’s dangerous and needs to die. Along with Mira because she’s bad too.”
We were stunned in silence. Lunar then turned the window next to her. “Oh, an unfamiliar park. Let's stop here. I bet they’d be at a place no one really goes to.” Before we could protest, Lunar grabbed our arms and pulled us out. 92Please respect copyright.PENANA61lgVKML1w
I stared at her, focusing on her features. Her face was pale as the moon, yet there was a diagonal section in the middle that was black with stars of the galaxy. Her eyes were a bright yellow. Piercing through me. This woman is insane. We have to take her down. She cracked her knuckles. “I can make them lose gravity. Then from there, Vera can yank them down with his hair, and Anita can knock them out. Awesome plan, right?”
Not really, considering that Ace would literally fight anything in his way. I thought in an exhausted, yet irritated tone. And the fact my flower’s petals are ripped out.
“Or, plan B,” Lunar started before going on about methods to stop them.
I turned to Vera and whispered, “Let’s go.”
Vera nodded. “Yeah. Run.”
We turned and ran away as fast as we could.92Please respect copyright.PENANAyMS124cHEk
Even if we run, we might get caught but…to hear such an awful incident, and then just agreeing that she’s part of the squad…I just can’t.I fastened my pace. Two guards appeared before us and we stopped. I nearly fell over. Not long after, Lunar followed us from behind. “Guys, you should’ve told me the plan before you ran off.”
My left eye twitched in annoyance. We didn’t because you weren’t part of it. Get the hint, ma’am!
Lunar then looked up at the guards. “Oh, you guys are here too. Searching this area too?”
“After that accident, we were running short and had to cover more area,” One of them explained. “But we are glad that you actually found something for us.”
She raised her eyebrows. “I did?”
The other guard pointed at us. “Those two. Anita and Vera. Betrayers of the council. You will be coming with us.”
