It was yet another ordinary day like every other day. The sun was high up above the horizon shining brightly on the people walking hurriedly past each other.
The street was buzzing with people and cars. A little girl with her backpack on her back was running down the street, it seemed that she must have missed the school bus.
Cafe signs were being turned from closed to open, employees greeted and praised their bosses like they were gods.
A couple walked hand in hand and walked into a doughnut shop, they seemed to be newly weds and so in love.
A group of high school students were casually taking their time as they headed to school. They were talking and giggling like they had all the time in the world.
An old man watched the high schoolers with a bitter smile on his face as he seemed to be reminiscing of his young self, he envied what they had but were oblivious of, Youth!
It was still so early but the sound of the police siren could be head as they chased after a car, probably a criminal?
In an alley, a group of college students stayed in the shadows as they smoked and exchanged drugs. There was sheer happiness and joy on their young faces.
Just like I said, it was yet another ordinary day!
On an ordinary day, I took the one thing that keeps the humans at peace with each other.

Humans loose the ability to lie. I looked down at them with a smug smile on my face and watched their every movement.
The voices of employees saying their minds rang like church bells and they lost their jobs in the process.
Families fought, wives cursed at their husbands and vice versa.
It had only been a few minutes and countries were already launching attacks at each other.
It was indeed a sight to behold and was like sweet music to my ears!
Best of friends turned enemies, Bloods were shed continuously and without mercy as the true animalistic colours and behaviors of humans were brought to light.
An even bigger smile played on my lips and the feeling of satisfaction washed all over me.
Yes, the empires should have taken me seriously! It was amusing how they had doubted me when I had threatened to wipe out the entire human race without raising a finger. They should have stopped me when they had the chance.
This was definitely way better than using a meteorite to destroy the earth.
Humans were weak and not worth the stress!
They were ungrateful and too filthy to stain my hands with their bloods, so I will let them do it themselves.
"Master Hyzio!"
I smiled as I heard my name. The empire was finally taking me seriously, at long last.
I stood up from the cloud flour and turned to look at the two muscular guards that had been sent to fetch me.
"Do not say my name so loudly, I am not deaf." I protested and pouted my lips.
They remain unfazed and continued staring at me with forced calmness. They seemed to be suppressing their anger, they just could not wait to rip me apart.
'Patience boys, in a few minutes you will enjoy that view.' I said in my head and flashed them a smile.
"We were asked to fetch you, the elders demand your presence!"
They made to grab me if I tried to resist and I raised my hands in surrender and shook my head at them.
"I will cause you no trouble and will walk with my two legs. They are working quite fine you see." I said and started walking towards the grand room where my fate awaited me.
The grand room was not far from where I had been before, so in a matter of seconds the majestic door creaked open and I walked in with both guards by my side.
My eyes swept lazily around the room, taking in the faces of all the supposed elders until my gaze landed on the one sitting on the highest throne, my father, the king.
"How dare you Hyzio?" My father's voice thundered through the whole room until it reached me. I felt the two guards standing by my side shudder in fear.
The whole elders nodded and began mumbling accusations at me.
"He has always been a troublemaker, that boy!"
"Not once has he ever made his father proud!"
"We don't care about that, not once has he just stayed quiet."
And they were all right, every single one of them. I burst into laughter, surprising them, they probably thought I was crazy now.
Oh these stupid old me!
"You will reverse whatever you did this instant and return everything back to normal." My father declared.
"Why should I?" I murmured.
"What?" He shouted.
"I said why should I?" I shouted back, I might have been a troublemaker but this was the very first time I was shouting back at my father.
"Tell me why should I reverse what I did?"
"Hyzio.."
"Father where were you when mother needed you? You chose the humans over your own family!" My eyes were now bloodshot as tears stung my eyelids.
"Hyzio.. calm down..."
"Do not tell me to calm down! Your wife..my mother was sick and..and..you chose this over her. Not once did you see her when she was sick! She died and you found it unnecessary to attend her burial."
"Hyzio.."
"Let me speak!" I shouted, the guards tried to hold me down but my father stopped them. "My sisters took their lives because of you, they were still grieving their mother and you were going to marry them off to someone they did not even know and did you attend their burial?"
"It was all for the good of the humans." My father explained.
"The damn humans!" I screamed out in frustration. "You took what mattered to me, you took everything I loved away from me because of the humans?" I let out a sarcastic laugh as I wiped my tears.
"Listen Hyzio, the humans are very..."
"I will take those damn humans away from you," I cut him off angrily. "I will take the one thing you love the most, in a couple of weeks, humans will make themselves go extinct! Your fellow empire members will vote you out because you could not control your son and avert the problem. You will live all your immortal miserable life in guilt!"
Before my father could say anything, I pulled out the dragon knife. The only dagger that could kill immortals like us. I could see the surprise in everybody's face.
"The curse cannot be reversed without the caster. The curse will die with me and that way, I will not be forced to reverse it." I said as dug the dagger deep into my chest.
This was it, the end, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel where mama and my two sweet sisters were waiting.
I'm coming, wait for me....
