A sense of first day nervousness and anxiety filled the air as a small murmur erupted among the acquainted students as the classroom's seats slowly filled up.
The desks were polished to a bight shine as brand new ridiculously thick books filled the shelves that were against the peach walls. Windows settled above the shelves on the right wall to let in the morning rays of light that illuminated small specks of dust dancing around in the air.
A couple of light brown storage closets lined the back of the room possibly filled with boxed supplied that would be used throughout the year. Taped up boxes covered with a layer of dust sat scattered upon the top of the closets creating a strange darken and blocked off area.412Please respect copyright.PENANA189nozkVmR
A large, rectangular wooden desk was centered at the front of the room. A container filled with newly sharpened pencils and unused pens peacefully sat in a corner behind an old model black computer monitor. A black keyboard laid in front of the monitor at a different angle with a small black mouse as its side waiting to be used.
A stack of papers were placed on the opposite side of the desk. A forest silently decorated the inside of a dome-shaped paperweight as it held the papers down from the fleeing the now filled room. A brown clipboard was down in the center of the desk with a singular piece of paper attached to it.
"Good morning," cheerfully exclaimed voice as its owner walked into the classroom with a gentle smile in hopes of calming the nerves of the sitting students. "My name is Mr. Andrews and I will be your homeroom teacher."412Please respect copyright.PENANAXEv7OqjxYb
The school bell loudly rang throughout the classroom and the rest of the school, signaling the start of the school day and year.
Mr. Andrews scanned the room, looking at each and every student before he looked down at the clipboard which held the names of his future students. He looked back up keeping the smile on his face as he spoke, "I will be doing the roll call. When I call your name, please raise your hand and say here."
"Scarlett Anderson?"
"Here, sir!," cheerfully replied a blonde as she raised her hand up in the air with a bright smile.
"Crystal Bing?" Mr. Andrews asked as he looked around the room.
"Here," Crystal said quietly as she raised her hand.
"Marley Gray?," asked the teacher as he picked up the clipboard and straighten his posture before looking around the classroom for the mentioned student.
"Here," a silver haired male said as he went though the contents in his backpack.412Please respect copyright.PENANA495WWJ3d3t
"Aiden Jaycen?"412Please respect copyright.PENANAQKUSkzoMAo
"Here," responded a male with bright hair that leaned towards a pinkish color. He lazily raised his hand up with a smile before he continued to look around the room.412Please respect copyright.PENANAN5ql3DaHQd
"Riley Kingston?"412Please respect copyright.PENANAnWcBassrBA
"Here," roughly responded a girl with black hair from the back row. She was twirling a pencil in her hand showing little interest in the class that was currently being held.412Please respect copyright.PENANAeRKIJbZu3d
"Ava Miller?"412Please respect copyright.PENANAzakRC9t7Qm
"H-Here," stuttered a soft voice from the front of the class as she shyly raised her hand a few centimeters into the air. When she noticed Mr. Andrews look down at his clipboard, Ava quickly pulled her hand down.412Please respect copyright.PENANAHa5TSpaD7W
"Destiny Marvin?"412Please respect copyright.PENANA416rjxV71X
"Here!" A girl with greenish grey hair said as she smiled and waved.412Please respect copyright.PENANASHX0fwoglP
"Daniel and Donald Rey?" The teacher asked as he looked around the classroom for two raised hands. Seeing none, he adverted his gaze back to the clipboard as two males, one with black hair and the other with red hair walked in. 412Please respect copyright.PENANAj6ijHl3zbi
"Here. Sorry, we're late. We just don't like school," they said in unison as they took their seats and set their backpacks down.
Mr. Andrews smiled at the two as he responded, "Try to be on time next time. Anyhow, I bet you two will enjoy my class." He looked down at his clipboard once more to call the remaining name.
"Madison Ruan?"
The short haired girl looked up from her desk as she removed her headphones. She wasn't completely sure if she heard her name due to her music. Hesitantly, she raised her hand as she responded, hoping it was her, "Here?"412Please respect copyright.PENANA48ULpzmRhs
Mr. Andrews picked up a pencil and wrote down unknown words onto the attendance sheet with a small nod of his head.
He looked over at the dinosaur age computer screen as a small frown appeared on his face. He peered over at the students and then down at his clipboard. IN hopes of fixing the problem, he started to quickly move the mouse around but to no avail, the computer screen stayed a pitch black and refused to turn on.
"Huh, I'm sure I turned it on," he muttered to himself before he looked at his students. "I need to make an errand real quick. Don't leave the classroom," he said as an odd glint appeared in his dark brown eyes before he removed the attendance sheet from the clipboard and jolted out of the room.
"Is it just me or does that closet give you guys an eerie feeling?" Donald asked as he looked at the rather looking closet while tilting his head a bit.
"What do you mean, Don? It probably just has school supplies," Daniel said as he rolled his eyes. "Honestly Don, you really need to stop playing games."
Destiny looked at the closet, "Well, it is kinda weird that it's all dark. I mean, the others look bright and this one...I don't know."
Madison turned her head around to look at the talked about closet. She quickly glanced at the door and clock hanging on the wall near it. Seeing as Mr. Andrews recently left, it would be a while before he returned.
Madison stood up as she adjusted her headphones that were now around her neck. She quietly made her way to the back of the room and started at the left side. Madison looked down at the handle and tugged on it but all that did was rattle the supply closet. She moved onto the next one an continued until she reached the one at the right end of the room.
Marley watched her for a while before he looked around.
"This one is the only one that's unlocked," Madison called out as the closet's door slightly opened when Madison lightly tugged on its handle. 412Please respect copyright.PENANAjjcgcts6rJ
Scarlett looked at the door before she moved her attention onto Madison. "We shouldn't be messing around the with supply closets," she said with a hint of worry in her voice.
"But..." Don trailed off as he got up and walked to the door of the supply closet. "There's something about this closet that makes me want to look." He opened the door some more and peeked in. He took a step and felt around. As he continued to walk, he exclaimed, "It's huge!"
Madison titled her head in confusion as she widened the opening of the door to its full potential. "It looks pitch black in there,: Madison said as she took a step into the closet before she backed out of there. "That's really odd. There's nothing in there."
"I see some kind of light," Don said as he walked back out.
Aiden got out of his seat as he stood up. He looked at the said closet and declared, "So that's not a closet, then."
Scarlett shook her head from her spot since she was still seated in her seat. "It seems like it would be more like a door than a supply closet."
"Oh my gosh! It's just a closet!" Daniel said. "It's not like Narnia where it's a magic portal to a new world! Magic doesn't exist!"
"Well damn Daniel. Someone doesn't believe, " Destiny joked as she looked at Daniel. Daniel looked back at her and smiled.
Don walked further in. "Guys! You should see this, it's huge in here! I don't think this is a normal closet; I don't think they are supposed to be this big!" He yelled, but it came out muffled due to how far he was in.
Crystal looked at the closet. 'These kids are crazy,' she thought in her mind.412Please respect copyright.PENANArX0btA328v
Scarlett slowly stood up as she pushed herself out of her seat. She glanced back at the door in precaution before she made her way to the empty supply closet. She walked past Madison who was holding the door open.
Scarlett looked inside of the storage closet before she titled her head in confusion as she took a few steps inside. A frown made its way onto her face as she held her arms up so she wouldn't bump into anything.
Her footsteps made a small echo as she walked deeper into the dark closet which eventually brightened enough for her to barely make out different silhouettes.
She continued to walk as her steps became quieter and quieter until she heard a small slushing sound that resembled stepping on wet grass.
Scarlett paused and turned her head to call out to the others. She loudly started yelling in hopes of the other students hearing her. "I might have found grass!"
She started to turn around so she could return to the classroom but to her misfortune, she stepped on what she hoped to be water and slipped. A loud scream escaped her mouth as her eyes widened in fear.
Aiden stood up and ran towards the entrance of the closet. He poked his head into the dark abyss that hid the true contents of the not so innocent looking closet.
He pulled his head back out and looked at everyone else in slight panic. "You guys heard that scream too, right? I swear I'm not going crazy here."
Don ran to where he had heard the scream but ended up slipping and fell as well. His yells slowly faded as he dropped. Daniel flinched and got up, "What is going on in there?!"
Aiden rushed into the closet but alas, he had the same fate as the other two. He let out a loud yelp as he tripped and fell head first.
Ava quietly stood up from her chair and hurriedly walked over to the closet before she looked over at everyone. She pointed towards the inside of the closet and asked, "W-we should all g-go and check on t-them. No r-running."
Destiny nodded and got up. She walked inside with Daniel following behind her. She walked farther in and eventually felt the 'grass' Scarlett was talking about before she slipped on something. Daniel went to catch her but ended up falling as well.
Ava started to walk in but was quickly pulled back when Riley had grabbed her arm. Ava looked p at Riley and then pointed to the inside of the closet with pleading eyes to which Riley let out a small grunt with a roll of her eyes,
Taking that as a yes, Ava started to walk in with Riley protectively holding onto her arm as they walked. Madison readjusted her headphones as she looked at everyone else still in the classroom with a questioning look.
Marley got up and walked to the door of the closet followed by Crystal. "I hope Destiny is okay," she said worryingly. "And the others, of course," she quickly added. Marley rolled his eyes and continued to walk. He grunted when he fell on his side. Crystal gasped and took a step forwards which caused her to fall as well.
Madison walked back to her desk and quickly grabbed her backpack since it carried her music player's charger along with extra batteries, just in case anything happened. Heaven knows what would happen if she couldn't listen to any music.
Madison waked over to the closet and glanced over at the door before she, too, walked into the closet as she slung her backpack over her shoulder. She walked in and let the door swiftly close behind her as she muttered, "We should have just ignored this."

As Mr. Andrews turned the corner, he stopped when he saw a hooded figure hiding in the shadows of the lockers.
It was difficult to tell who it was but Mr. Andrews could immediately tell who it was without a second look.
The figure looked up and stared at him for a while with a malicious yet childish look in his eyes. "Well, hello Andrews. Are you almost done? You know I need those papers. You promised me." It said with a chilling voice that would give send shivers down anyone's spine.
"Huh? Oh! Yes. Just give me a few more minutes and it will be done," Mr. Andrews said before the figure walked off and disappeared.
