once he had dressed in his usual attire black shirt with his leather jacket adorned with a deep red and gold half cape. he walked into the throne room with a but more pep in his step than usual as he smiled at a servant who blushed as he passed her.
"well, your chipper this morning." Stefan said as his brother approached the thrones.Vladimir gave a crooked grin and placed the cape on his throne and would turn heel to leave again grabbing the dry tank keys "today is the day brother, you said yourself i can't run from her and we can't just keep her locked up. i mean we could but i don't want to " he would shrug and twirl the keys around his fingers
"are you sure that is safe?" Stefan asked with a worried tone, Vladimir knew the price of any mistakes that he took and he had weighed his options the night before. if he killed her he would lose the thing he found most precious in this moment and maybe she wouldn't be as precious to him in a century if he did kill her but if he didn't he had a chance to get to know her and have a possibility of happiness with a sigh he answered "No, but i don't know the limits of my own control if i don't take the chance and she doesnt deserve to be locked in a cell until i figure it out. so im taking a chance, and whatever the outcome im the one who has to live with my choices" Stefan would give his brother a gentle smile as he stood up and gripped his brother's shoulder and gave him a reassuring nod "would you like me to come with?" Vladimir looked down to his feet and chuckled "no, I think i will be okay. she touched me and i didn't lose my shit." he would tilt his head to the side with a shrug, Stefan nodded "alright, well if you need me ill be listening" Vladimir nodded. one thing he always admired about Stefan was he didn't press. he would practically fly across the room to the dungeons getting to the dry cell in seconds and unlocking the door to see it empty. he smiled and shook his head seeing a scarf on the bars to the window bent just enough to squeeze a body through, The room was left as if she was never there except for the handcuffs wrapped around the bars the sight before him made him start to laugh. "gypsies!"he said under his breath. they knew better than to lock them in cells and he should've known better than to remove the shackles and cuffs. the bars were spelled by a witch and soaked in vervain so he couldn't even think about touching them he would've never guessed a human would have the strength to bend them. he would sit on the bed being enveloped by the smell that was incinerating his very insides but he inhaled it deeply needing that burn. he barely knew her and already he missed her, as his hand slid across the blanket on the bed his fingertips found a piece of paper under the pillow it was a folded letter of pages ripped from his book making him smile wider

he read and reread the letter finally sighing. he would get up and headed back upstairs to meet his brother's confused stare. " yes, he has frightened the gypsie into trading their own to keep him satisfied. once long ago drago had a run in with such gifted mortals among the gypsie tribes that made him shake with fear as their shadow gift made immobalized him and another burned his friend to ash with a single touch. since then these gifts have stayed within those family bloodlines and spread through the world one person at a time. catarina has run from here in fear of this man, she possesses the shadow gift i must find her." the others nodded as whispers filled the room from the curious audience"that is my first order of business after she is found we will plan on how to take down this menace." he would toss on his coat and head to the door to leave delilah was directly on his heels with drago as he raced out the door "what are you two doing?"he asked softly to avoid drawing human attention running as fast as they were. it was drago who aswered "my mate comes so do i, we wont let you go in to this alone. what if she is in danger, then you are in danger and in that sense we are not doing our job as part of your gaurd" vladimir smiled as he took a whiff of the air to catch catarinas scent " shes headed north east" he said receiving nods from both deliliah and drago. "sir if i may bend your ear a moment?" delilah asked sweetly he glanced over and smiled with a nod"of course delilah" she smiled and took a breath as they stopped running as they got to the forest line beyond the moors. they would walk along the edge to the trail through as these woods belonged to the werewolves. they had an agreement to use the forest through the trail and only at a speed that could be observed by the humans in the forest villages in this direction. "catarina is the girl from natalies vision, she saw you experiance great happiness at the cost of great pain...i fear you attempting to go after catarina now is going to result in great pain my lord" delilah said softly to fast for a humans ears to pick up just in case. he would glance down at her from the side "delilah, how many times do i have to tell you to call me vladimir not lord or sir? we are equals all immortals are, if i dont find her i wont know what has become of her. if ihave no answers to that scenerio then i will worry about her and we all know that will drive me mad" delilah smiled at his words "alright. well how far could she have gotten in such a short time?" he smiled and looked over at her "not very far shes up ahead." he kept walking through the trail coming up on the end as it opened up to a feild of wheat.

catarina sqatted low as she sat behind a stone wall, up ahead just beyond this small farming village was numons camp. she regretted not informing vladimir of how close numon was to them and their kingdom but it was for the best for her plan to work. she seen a small girl so weak she could barely walk carrying a basket filled with stones for their walls, the girl collapsed to her knees as she headed in to a small patch of woods. catarinas heart dropped as she placed her back against the wall she squatted behind, her baby sister was alive for now. this was the price of her disobeidiance, her sister had taken her place. she peered back over the wall her sisters skin no longer its healthy caramel color but instead had a chalky hue, she was being used as a feeder for that greedy bastard. catarina clenched her teeth so hard her jaw protested in pain. as her sister fell to the ground face first looking dead, one of the slaves seen her and stopped another "leave her, she is too weak. there is no place among us for the weak." the slave had red eyes and pale skin it was very clear she had been changed recently, catarina shook her head 'so its not just yourself your feeding you son of a bitch' she thought to herself as she would wait for them to disappear in to the ferns and jumped out to grab her sister and drag her heavy body back toward the wall. she had almost gotten to safety when her hair was yanked from behind, she would bite down on her bottom lip so hard she tasted blood to keep herself from screaming as she felt the cool touch of metal against her throat "well well well if it isnt little runaway catarina, seems your sister is braver then you ever where" she recognized the raspy voice coming from behind her and felt her heart feel like it would explode with joy. she would shove the knife away and turn to see the man behind her. her brother vasili, he was taken long ago when she was still a child. He still looked mostly the same as she remembered, curly black hair kind and caring face with a stocky build. he was stronger then most people which is why he was taken to be a personal gaurd to numon but now after all these years his skin that was once a deep brown like hers was ghostly pale paired with a set of ruby eyes instead of his deep green ones he once had. "vasili, please help me!" she said firmly hoping that her brother still had a heart left for his family he would look down and glare at her "you ran away and shirked your duty to our people catarina, you should be greatful amalia took your place! i have to take you to numon. " he gave a softened look and turned his back to her"or i could act as if you were never here and you can run now."he said softly, he may have seemed as if he was cruel and uncaring but he would do anything for his sisters to keep them from becoming feeders. she would nod and lean down to collect her sister from the ground. she would take one look back at her brothers shrinking figure and climbed over the wall and ducked down, she would quickly check her sisters pulse.

vladimir finally caught up to the scent to see catarina look crumpled and defeated on the ground with a small girl in her arms, the girl looked lifeless in her arms with a pale ashy face and short black hair in a page boy hair cut. he would run to her and grab the girl and check her pulse, it was so feint he almost missed it and let out a small breath of releif "she is alive, but just barely...is this why you left?" catarina looked up at delilah and drago who stood protectively who stood behind the crouched vladimir. her eyes were puffy from crying and her face was red and tear-stained, she would practically leap over and hug vladimir catching him off gaurd as her scent infiltrated his entire system making his whole body feel as if it had been throne in to an inferno. the warmth burning through his clothes and into his body. his arms wrapped around her as he kept himself steady and upright. drago and delilahs breath caught as they stood ready to stop him from hurting her in any way. he simply shoved her back gently and touched the bottom of her face and tilted her chin up to meet his eyes " are you alright?" he asked concerned for her yet still keeping his focus on the childs heart. she gazed up at him in awe of his beauty which made the corners of his mouth twitch in a smile her verdant eyes glittering with small spots of yellow. her face was flush with color from his response to her as she gestured to her sister " i didnt know he would take her in my stead, i left because i knew how close he was. i also know how to kill him, i just needed an opening to do so but i didnt know he had so many and i didnt know my siblings where among them.." she gestured to the girl "please, she isnt young she is a girl 17 she can control herself please save her ill work off her debt" she begged him tears streaming down her face, with a feather light touch he would wipe the tear away. " catarina you need not beg me for anything, for you i would give the stars if i could. to me in this moment you are the most beautiful woman i have ever met, but be warned its gonna be very weird if i do it because of my gift" he said sitting her down beside him and grabbing the girl in his arms and cradling her as he let his long fingers carress her jar tilting her head up. his teeth were sunk in to her throat faster then catarina could blink. her sisters toes curled as her leg bent a little at the knee, her eyes opened and rolled back and a smile crept over her face as a soft moan escaped her mouth. catarina smiled with a blush and looked away sheilding her sight. dalilah extended her hand to catarina with a smile "please lady catarina come with me?" catarina raised a brow "why?"
delilah smiled at her questioning "because i know how vladimirs bite works and you dont want to be here for this, and as much as this may be annoying to you in this state of mind it is best you are far from him as he is no longer fully in control and you smell" she smelled the air "fantastic"
catarina nodded smiling softly at her use of words "she will be alright and come home soon?"
Drago nodded as he bowed "of course my lady, he is good at what he does. this is better any other vampire it would hurt she would scream in agony in euphoria is better dont you say?"
catarina nodded and climbed on to delilahs back as she was escorted back to the palace.
