Samuel escapes civilization from a viral disease and takes his newborn son Elias with him. Their peaceful life in the forest however gets abruptly ended after several years there, and so Samuel sends his now grown son to travel across the changed country to a destination that he himself had to get to eventually, but now can't join the journey, and so Elias has to go there alone, and see what and who he might come across.
