Drizzling overcast at night…
Instead of bringing sadness, this drizzling night made a big smile on Verlette's lips. After dinner, the nurses visited room 33. Like a market, the nurses looked at Verlette's knitted products one by one.
All the nurses have taken part. All the nurses, whether or not they had taken care of patients in room 33, had taken part.
Starting from the bag…
Beanie hat…
Gloves…
Scarves…
and Sweeter.
Everything was sold out leaving a quarter. About one sweater, one bag, two pairs of gloves, three hats, and two scarves. Of course Abigail, Susan, and Madame Murtlock had taken part.
That night, for the first time since staying in this place, Verlette smiled to herself. She didn't even delay dinner and take her medicine on time.
That evening after dinner, Mr. Clovis excused himself from going out for a while to buy some snacks to put in his fridge. Mr. Clovis texts Abigail that bit of the chocolate in her fridge is nearing expiration. He wanted Abigail to share it with Susan and all the sisters downstairs (basement).
Even so…
(Hoah…! That guy doesn't know the meaning a bit, huh!?) Abigail protested while looking at the contents of the fridge.
In the freezer, about eight 350 gram bars of chocolate with an expiration date of two days. That number is not small. Meanwhile, several canned drinks and four 1.5-liter milk boxes.
"Miss Verlette, would you like some chocolate?"
Verlette turned lightly. “I… don't really like…. Clovis… even forgot that I… don't like sweets….”
"Oh really?"
Abigail turned to Julia Chalice. Abigail's face looked unsure. After all, it was 7:30 PM, and Julia Chalice's potato soup was probably getting cold. She hasn't had dinner yet.
“Miss Chalice….. Want some chocolate?” Abigail held out a stick to the woman.
Julia Chalice, a woman with straight, shoulder-length blonde hair with a wavy ending, turned her head slightly. He reached out his hand, took the chocolate, and put it on the table.
"Excuse me,"
“O-oh… n-no problem….” Abigail turned around and put the remaining seven chocolates in the freezer. She thought after washing her patients, which meant her work ended for the day. Then she will take the chocolate.
Then…
Abigail tried to remind Julia Chalice to finish her dinner soon.
"Okay, sorry." Julia Chalice immediately picked up a bowl on a nearby drawer, and started eating.
Even though she was munching on her dinner, Julia Chalice didn't seem to be enjoying herself. Only her mouth moved, her hands scooped slowly, while her gaze stared at the ceiling.
(O-oh… is she starting to obey?)
Until the last treatment, namely her bruises, Julia Chalice was acting normal and calm. Now her behavior is more towards 'don't care' or just 'surrender'.
Obviously, Abigail was still bothered by that and recorded her daily activities in a report. That is, her mental condition is more likely to be unstable than to recover, even though Julia Chalice herself is starting to obey and act according to procedure.
"Allright then, I'm going to room 32 to take the patient for showering. I will also prepare warm water for you two, please get along okay?” Abigail pushed her medical cart out of the way.
“Uh-huh,” Verlette nodded slightly while continuing to knit, while Julia Chalice just kept quiet and looked at the side wall.
Abigail has now left room number 33, leaving two patients who rarely talk together.
The atmosphere in the room was very quiet, even quieter than a forest or a cemetery.
Verlette felt a little awkward with Julia Chalice, whose hands were handcuffed.
(Hm… is daydreaming… fun?) thought Verlette, glancing slightly at Julia Chalice.
But the unexpected….
Julia Chalice was smiling at her. The smile was just a formality.
It's just that, if it's done by a person who has been silently contemplating and looking at the carpeted wall since yesterday,
Of course that was enough made Verlette's heart shiver in fear.

In a rectangular room, six people sit across from each other on two sides of a rectangular table, holding a piece of paper. Meanwhile, two young women in white coat sat side by side facing the three and one head nurse.
"Let's start, guys," said the woman with bright red lipstick and beautiful and neat secretarial hair. "Please, start with Zofia," The woman sat while folding her legs, wearing a sexy black skirt.
The three nurses started giving daily reports today, April 13th.
The three nurses came to the same conclusion, namely that there was no significant emotional surge. Although, Susan was sweating a bit over Abigail's report this morning and opted to whitewash the matter.
"Okay, guys. Next month we will have a new patient. Hmm… quite a lot, but some of the ones in rooms 12 through 22 will make their way out of this place. Their condition turned to home care. In the meantime, are there any problems in the nurses' bedroom?” asked the woman with the minor lipstick.
Madame Murtlock raised her hand.
"Yes, Miss Murtlock?"
"There are three things I would like to say, Dr. Audagird. First, lately there have been many complaints from donors and investors. Well, one of them is my fault, anyway. But some of the others are regarding funds that have not been realized within a year of funds being collected. Isn't this the right time to tell us about the plans, doctor?”
The other three nurses shared their light opinion, even Susan added that it would be a major difficulty in discussing both old and new donors or investors.
"Calm down, everyone!" she added. “Well… sooner or later I will be billed for that. Okay… no problem, I'll explain.” Dr. Audagird, a woman with red lipstick and neat ponytails in the style of a secretary put a stack of papers taken from her classy red bag.
Turn page after page, Dr. Audagird began explaining the details of the budget that Madame Murtlock was referring to.
“Okay, you must understand that this hospital has a unique building structure. The first floor and ground floor have two directions near the stairs. While the basement floor, only one way from the end of the meeting room. And on the ground floor eleven rooms are arranged opposite each other which is located after the head nurse or receptionist's room and then turn left before the stairs," said Dr. Audagird with subtle and firm undertones.
“Just keep it short, Dr. Audagird. Across from the employee bathroom, kitchen and meeting room, there are three rooms. One temporary room for a medicine warehouse as well as a pharmacy. Can I assume this discussion includes those two empty rooms?” Madame Murtlock expressed her opinion.
"Thank you, Miss Murtlock, for the alternative route of explanation," Dr. Audagird then turned to all to each nurse. “That's right, one of the rooms will be used for the doctors' work and rest rooms. As for the next room… I think that room will be used by general practitioners. The room also stores general medicines such as cold medicine, diarrhea, stomach and so on. Anyone have any objections?" Dr. Audagird threw her opinion to each individual.
Apparently, each human being is not very interested in having an opinion.
But…
Susan, with her scornful face, unceremoniously raised her hand.
“Yola~ miss glamorous! I have a question! *munchmunch*” Susan said, chewing gum.
All eyes were on Susan's behavior.
Dr. Audagird tried to smile as professionally as possible and tried to be as patient as possible. The problem is Dr. Audagird left eye is somewhat blink without pause, Madame Murtlock immediately noticed that Dr. Audagird was a little irritated.
“Hush! You sounds like an idiot!” whispered Madame Murtlock, elbowing Susan lightly on the waist.
“Ehhh? It's okay! Kaylene is my old friend!” whispered Susan back.
“S-susan… we are in the meeting room. Y-did you forget, huh?” said dr. Audagird was as smooth as she could be even while biting her own teeth.
“Ah, sorry, Kaylene. *Munchmunch*” Susan leaned back again, closing her eyes.
“Susan!” Dr. Audagird got up and snapped with a light thump on the table. The whole room was shocked and became awkward.
Instead of calling her formally, the Hapazhard woman uses her first name. That's what triggers the rise in Dr. Audagird blood pressure.
But meanwhile…
#Hah… (Sighed)
Dr. Audagird sighed, calmer now.
"Uh-huh..." she added. “Well, I believe what Susan was going to ask was 'is it ok for the nurses to use a general doctor's consultation?' Of course! That was my intention from the start. This hospital has only been around for three years and I realize how hard the nurses work here. However, since the establishment of this place, the most effective facility for operations was the small flat for the nurses to stay in. Therefore, with a temporarily limited budget for the past three years, I have focused on that. By the way, was there a problem with the nurse's room? Any opinion? Report?"
“Ziofra? Jasmine? Madame Murtlock?" Dr. Audagird looked at the nurses, then Madame Murtlock. They shook their heads at each other. Dr. Audagird was relieved, except for Susan who was silent.
#Hah… (sighed)
"Susan?" Dr. Audagird slapped her forehead feeling desperate calling out that name.
Susan folded her arms as she leaned back in the swivel chair in a relaxed, sleepy manner. Then, she opened one of her eyes…
#Jump! thump!
Susan suddenly jumped up from the table and hugged Dr. Audagird. Susan rubbed her cheeks happily.
“Oh! Kaylene! I miss you!"
