I did not have any visitors after the first day, which I wasn't exactly expecting, but it was not as disheartening as when I was remembering how I was treat before I died in my past life as Ruby. I did find out that Omegas are discriminated against, which was a bit disturbing knowing that I just came from a place where I was discriminated against for being a widow with two young children and pregnant with a third out of wedlock.
"Do you need anything, dearie?" Nurse Olivia asked, causing me to get out of my thoughts. I felt like vomiting.
"Can you help me to my walker, Nurse Olivia?" I asked. She nodded and helped me out of bed to my walker. I used the walker to get to the bathroom and vomited into the toilet. I was feeling a weird but familiar sensation in my stomach, almost like I was... I didn't want to finish that thought, because it made me angry.
"Is something wrong, Constantine?" Nurse Olivia asked, after I had been in the bathroom for a few minutes. I sighed and left the bathroom.
"Yes," I said, "It's very wrong." Nurse Olivia frowned, but helped me back onto my bed.
"Let me get you a towel," Nurse Olivia said, "You have some puke on your face. I'll let the doctor know that you've vomited again." Nurse Olivia quickly left the room.
When she came back, she brought Dr. Carlisle and a towel. She gave me the towel and I cleaned my face.
"Are there any other symptoms aside from vomiting?" Dr. Carlisle asked, "If you want we can test you for stomach illnesses?"
"No," I said, "I'm just experiencing vomiting. There's something other than an illness that I think would be better to test me for." Dr. Carlisle's eyes widened in shock and Nurse Olivia looked nervous.
"I have to go order some things," Dr. Carlisle said, "Can you keep Constantine company, Olivia?" Nurse Olivia nodded and Dr. Carlisle left quickly.
"Is there anything you want to talk about?" Nurse Olivia asked. I sighed.
"I still don't know things about the country we live in," I said. Nurse Olivia smiled.
"It's Marish, a kingdom in the North," Nurse Olivia said, "It's run by King Julian Carson and his family. Your family, the Blaines, are one of the few noble families that have been around for generations. The city that we're in right now is Urthenis which is about half an hour's drive from the Capital of Cursa. I don't know much else because I'm a nurse not a history teacher."
"Wait, this is Marish?" I asked, surprised that I was in my home country all this time without knowing, "What is the date?" Nurse Olivia looked a little stunned, like she wasn't expecting me to say that.
"Yes, this is Marish," Nurse Olivia said, "The date is (omitted)." My eyes widened in shock, it was almost exactly 200 years since I was killed by my illegitimate brother. Well, the day I woke up was that exact day, but this is crazy. I did hear that my mother's family had the ability to reincarnate as their distant relatives, but is Constantine even related to me? I mean, he looks just like me, but is a boy and possibly just a young teen at the oldest. I think it had something to do with similar circumstances or something.
"Do you know my mother's maiden name?" I asked.
"I'm not sure," Nurse Olivia said, "But I do recall hearing that she was related to the Duke of Morgana." Nurse Olivia looked concerned as she studied my face to figure out why I was so curious about these things.196Please respect copyright.PENANA0aHZFC982n
"Do you know about Ruby Morgana?" I asked. Nurse Olivia flinched suddenly.
"She was the villainess that killed crown prince Rueben Carson?" Nurse Olivia said in a questioning tone. I tried my best not to sigh aloud, because that statement was entirely wrong. I did not kill Rueben, but because he had been actively pursuing me my entire life, despite the fact that I did marry someone else, Dorian Lux who was a commoner and had two children with Dorian, it seemed like I had motive enough. The one thing that most might not know is that Rueben had whisked me away at a party where I was drowning my sorrows a few days after the third anniversary of Dorian's death and got me pregnant. I was heavily pregnant when I died, so I don't know if my third child even survived.
"How many children did she have?" I asked.
"Ruby and Killian had three children," Nurse Olivia said, "Lucas, Marius, and Joelle." Wait, my child with Rueben survived and was a girl? And Killian is my twin brother's name... What is going on here? "Why are you asking?"
"Nurse Olivia, if I was a reincarnated person, would I be experimented on?" I asked.
"Are you saying that you're Ruby Morgana?" Nurse Olivia asked quietly.
"Can you please answer my question?" I asked.
"It's true that it rarely happens," Nurse Olivia said, "But if we keep it a secret, I think you'll be fine. Especially since your bloodline is able to do it."
"Then, my answer is yes," I said, "I am Ruby Morgana. And most of what you just said about me isn't true."
"What do you mean?" Nurse Olivia asked.
"I did not kill crown prince Rueben Carson," I said, "I was actually going to become his concubine and my youngest was his. My late husband and the father of my older two children was named Dorian and he married into my family, because my older twin brother, Killian, didn't want to be the Duke and my younger illegitimate brother, Thomas, wasn't suited for the role." Nurse Olivia blinked a lot, trying to process what I just said.
"Then how did the former crown prince Rueben die?" Nurse Olivia asked after about a minute.
"He died by poisoning," I said, "I just happened to be there when he died. Someone brought out wine and since I was heavily pregnant at the time, I didn't want to drink it due to the smell making me nauseated. His servant was supposed to taste test, but the servant wasn't feeling well, so prince Rueben just drank it himself. It wasn't even a small amount that he drank either, he practically downed the whole bottle right in front of me in a matter of minutes. He usually just sipped at his wine, which was what made it even stranger and his last words were 'I want to live in a world where I don't have to worry about being king and have you first rather than second'. I think he just thought that he was really drunk, but he died."
"It could've just been alcohol poisoning," Nurse Olivia said, "Drinking too much alcohol too quickly can lead to death if not treated properly right away. Wait, did you just say that you were pregnant when he died?"
"Yes," I said, "I was due a month and a half after my death. I died before I could even meet my daughter, Joelle. I had told Killian before I was married to Dorian that if I had a girl that I would name her Joelle, I'm glad he remembered."
"So, you're saying that you feel the same sensation as before you died?" Nurse Olivia asked.
"Yes," I said, "I was pregnant three times as Ruby and this feels similar, but not the same. I heard that there was a requirement for reincarnating, something about similar situations."
"So you're saying that the similar situation is pregnancy?" Nurse Olivia asked.
"It appears so," I said, "But there weren't any Alphas or Omegas or even Betas when I was Ruby, though me being an Omega now probably fits into the description of being treat unfairly due to my body. So that's two things. And another thing is that someone is obsessed with me, Peter Nekotama."
