Zark was an ordinary kid. But lives have a property of being so fickle, don't they? Fate, cruel mistress as she is, meddled with Zark's perceived destiny, and he was left; stranded, alone, shattered, and without a light to illuminate his ever-growing darkness. That was, until he met Shadow. He had often thought about such a creature, but never before had he been able to see one with his one eyes, to love one and to feel one. And Zark and Shadow do a lot of feeling in that time, but it leaves the mind wondering, why is Shadow in this to begin with? And what foreign powers could be commanding his heart in such an idiosyncratic fashion?
