REIMAGINED FAIRYTALE !

Take a classic fairy tale and give it a modern twist. Transform the characters and settings into a contemporary context. How do the themes of the original story resonate in today's world?

Reimagined Fairytale Contest Rules:

1. Theme: Submissions must be reimagined versions of classic fairy tales or folklore. Participants are encouraged to put a unique twist on familiar stories, characters, or settings.

2. Submission Guidelines:

• Format: Prose, poetry, or script format.
• Length: No strict word limit, but entries should be concise and engaging.
• Language: English (translations must be provided if the original work is in another language).
• Originality: Entries must be original works created by the participants. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.

3. Eligibility:

• The contest is open to all Penana members worldwide.
• Participants must have a valid Penana account.

4. Submission Deadline:

• All entries must be submitted by July 24, 2024.
• Late submissions will not be accepted.

5. Judging Criteria:

• Creativity: Uniqueness and originality in reinterpreting the fairy tale.
• Adherence to Theme: How well the entry reflects and reimagines the classic fairy tale.
• Writing Quality: Clarity, style, and effectiveness of the writing.
• Impact: Emotional resonance, entertainment value, and overall reader engagement.

6. Awarding:

• 1st Place: Virtual Badge
• 2nd Place: Virtual Badge

7. Rights and Permissions:

• Participants retain copyright to their submissions.
• By entering the contest, participants grant Penana permission to feature their entries on the Penana platform for promotional purposes related to the contest.

8. Disqualification:

• Entries that do not adhere to the submission guidelines.
• Plagiarized or previously published works.
• Inappropriate content or violations of Penana’s community guidelines.

9. Announcement of Winners:

• Winners will be announced on the 27th of JULY.
• Winners will be notified via email and/or Penana platform message.

10. Additional Terms:

• Penana reserves the right to amend contest rules or cancel the contest if necessary.
• Participation in the contest constitutes acceptance of these rules.
