Laying on her bed with her music blasting loud through her airpods, she cancelled out every thoughts and emotions from her head. Loud shouts were heard outside her room. Taking out one side of her airpod she could hear the negative emotions easily. Quietly opening her door, she leaned against the frame, trying to take note every conversation they were having.
"I'm looking for Bloom. For some reason, Stella's feeling guilty about it," Aisha said. Hazel didn't need to listen more to realise, the woman was blaming Stella for her actions.
"Could everyone save the drama for drama club?" Stella groaned as she tried to take another picture of herself.
"Wasn't she talking to Sky?" Terra suddenly said as she looked at Stella.
"And?"
"And I know what happened to the last person who was talking to Sky. I was here last year, remember?" Terra continued. Hazel looked up at Terra who still didn't notice that she was there.
"Terra. Quit it," Hazel coldly said as she stood up properly, walking towards Stella. Stella looked at Hazel, giving a warm smile.
"Where's Bloom?"
"She was feeling homesick, so I did a nice thing, and I lent her my ring so that she could go back to the First World," Stella said, sighing that she needed to give detailed information to the first years.
"Doesn't it only work outside the Barrier?" Terra said, confusingly. Hazel looked at Stella, in disbelief.
"Yes, and there's a gateway in the old cemetery," Stella said, acting as though she was stating the obvious.
"That's deep in the forest, Stella. You know what's out there, right?" Terra quietly said, her tone showing she was scared. Hazel's eyes widen before she went into her room, taking her dagger.
"Stella, I'm going to bring her back and your ring. Promise me you won't do something stupid later," Hazel said, trying to talk Stella out. She could see Stella's lips trembling.
"Hell way you are going to go there alone," Aisha said, trying to be the leader at that time, "We're following you. You need us, a specialist can't win a burned one that easily."
Hazel let out a scoff when she heard her. "Watch out water fairy. Don't assume," Hazel coldly said as she glared at her. She felt offended severely. She was about to walk out when Stella called out to her.
"Zel, I'm sorry... Come back in one piece, please. I don't know what to do without you," Stella quietly said, her face filled with guilt. Haze nodded her head before placing a kiss on Stella's forehead, walking away, having the other three fairies follow after her.
The whole walk was quiet, soft whispers from the others could be heard. Hazel looked around, trying to navigate the place.
"Hazel, why did you transfer here?" Terra suddenly said, trying to get Hazel to talk.
"No particular reason," Hazel simply replied. She didn't want to talk any further although she knew that Terra is the type to press on. Loud snarls could be heard in the forest. Hazel's eyes turned crimson blood red, before looking at the three.
"Run."
She knew the burned one was closed and she knew there wasn't just one of them but more than that. She made sure the three were ahead of her before she ran behind them, trying to protect them from the back.
"Bloom, are you okay?" Aisha shouted. Hazel saw the red hair girl, running towards them, panting heavily.
"Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I think so," Bloom said, catching her breath. Hazel didn't listen to the conversation, till she heard Stella's name coming out from Bloom's mouth. "I lost her ring."
Hazel's eyes widen before walking towards Bloom, grabbing her by her collar. "You lost her ring? You lost her fucking heirloom? Are you fucking out of your mind? She's going to get in trouble because of that!"
"Hazel! Stop it, you are angered," Terra shouted as she tried to get Hazel off Bloom.
"Fuck off, Terra." Terra was stunned. She knew she hurt Terra's feelings. Loudly sighing, she walked away, down to the barrier to get herself away from the group.
"What the hell. I have never met someone that rude before," Aisha groaned, glaring at the woman's trail.
"She wasn't like that. She was never like that either. She changed," Terra said as she felt hot tears falling down her cheek.
Hazel walked through the barrier, her thoughts filled with different emotions. She wanted to kill someone. She looked around in the suite, Stella was gone. She knew where Stella would be and she turned around, walking to the Specialist Hall.
Opening the door, she looked around realising Sky's door was locked and disgusting were coming from inside. She cringed for a while before hearing a groan behind her.
"What the hell? Zel, what are you doing here?" Riven said, getting up from the couch.
"Something went wrong. Why are you sleeping out here?" Hazel said, dodging the question.
"Are you an idiot? Why would I intrude the exes lair," Riven scoffed as he reached out to Hazel, asking her to sit beside him. She sat down next to him, crossing her legs to make herself comfortable.
Pulling her closer to him, she leaned her head against his shoulder. They sat quietly, not wanting to disrupt the peace that they were having. "Bloom lost Stella's ring. I got angry at her, suitemates decided to get angry at me after that."
"You were trying to help Stella. We know how her mother is like, she would kill Stella," Riven said taking out his cigarette and lighter. He placed one of it in between her lips, lighting it up slowly.
"Didn't know you could be this hot," Hazel joked as she took a drag. Riven chuckled before leaning closer to her lips, inhaling the smoke that she had. Hazel let out a soft giggle till she heard Riven smirking.
Riven looked at her in the eye, not caring about the low groans heard from the other room. Hazel looked at him before blowing the smoke towards his face where he gave a low groan in response.
"Zel, seriously. I'm tempted to kiss you right now," Riven said, "Can I?"
She let out a giggle, raising up one finger. "Once, that's all." He let out a grin before placing his lips on hers. Her arms wrapped around his neck as he grabbed onto her waist. The cigarette stick dropped as they deepened the kiss.
The next morning, Stella opened the door, stumbling back and forth till she saw the two sleeping together on the couch. She took a cup of water before pouring it over Riven's face.
"Oi, fucking hell, what the hell was that for?" Riven screamed as he got up, waking Hazel up.
"Hazel, let's go," Stella said as she pulled the sleepy girl away from Riven's grip. Sky's head popped out, the moment he heard Hazel's name from Stella's mouth.
"Zel, what are you doing here? With Riven even," Sky said, a disgusted tone and look came out on him. Hazel silently groaned before plopping herself back to Riven's body, using it as a pillow.
"Listen, she wanted to see Stella but you know, you both were doing those stuffs and it can get awkward if we were to intrude it. I ended up sleeping on the couch with this woman here," Riven explained, "She's tired. Let her sleep here for a while. Stella, can you grab her clothes for today?"
Stella looked at him, fed up before walking out of the suite, making sure she doesn't get caught. Once the door was closed, Riven went back closing his eyes, wrapping his arm around Hazel's tiny body. "You got to wake up soon sleepyhead."
She respond with a silent hum, ignoring his comment.
"Riven, get my cousin up before I kill you," Sky shouted from his room. Riven groaned, mad about Sky.
"I would if your room didn't smell like a stench of after sex," Riven yelled back. Sky then came out from the room, a bucket of water in his hand. "Ah fuck, Zel, time to wake up, if not your dead ass stupid cousin who reeks of sweat is going to kill me."
Hazel opened her eyes before looking at Sky annoyingly. She got up before wearing her shoe, standing up. "You are on your own Riv," She said, opening the door, leaving Riven to fight with Sky himself.
"Hazel, I thought you were still in your room," Terra suddenly said. Hazel slowly turned around, before blankly looking at her.
"Went for a walk early in the morning," Hazel muttered as she walked away to her room, "Stella." Her breath hitched went she saw Stella seating on her bed.
"They lost my ring. My fucking ring. Do they not know what is called protect what isn't yours?" Stella shouted in a hushed voice. Hazel sighed, walking to her wardrobe getting her clothes.
"Stella, maybe next time don't give them such valuable items," Hazel muttered, entering the bathroom. By the time she came out, Stella was gone. Sighing, she took her bag before walking out.
She wasn't the type to attend her classes early, however, she didn't want to interact with anyone in her suite so she had to. The noisy chatters from the people all around the cafeteria. She let out a groan before walking to the other hallway, the place where there were lesser people. She was just lighting up her cigarette till someone snatched it away from her.
A fucking first year.
She was shorter than her, hotter and pretty. She took a drag before smiling at Hazel. "Lovely to meet you. Beatrix."
Hazel didn't want to know the girl's name or anything about her. Nodding her head, she took out another. "You were with the Riven guy, isn't it? Y'all make a good couple," Beatrix said, acting as though her introduction wasn't answered at all.
She was quiet. She heard Riven's name from her mouth. "We're not together. We're friends. That's all." She would very much want to deny any allegations with her and Riven. Pure teenagers lost in their world and can't escape. Beatrix let out a hum before wrapping her arm around Hazel's. 14Please respect copyright.PENANAz7yMnDQ1KP
"Well, then if that is so. Let's go to lessons together, Hazel," Beatrix said. Hazel didn't know how Beatrix knew her name. She didn't bother to question her, assuming that Riven told Beatrix who she was.
