“No,” she lied.

But beneath the table, Sandra's own string was pulsing.

Vibrating with tension.

As the teacher lectured, Garah’s bracelet lit up and vibrated—fast.

It was connecting.

She stood up suddenly.

“I—I need to go.”

Without waiting for permission, she ran out.

Garah reached the hallway just as the thread from her bracelet flew forward—turning a sharp corner.

She chased it, heart pounding.

Down the stairs.

Past the faculty office.

It stopped.

Hanging in mid-air.

She turned slowly—
