After a long and tense 30 minutes, Vanessa returns with a large toolbox and a grim expression.
Vanessa: "I managed to get in touch with Maintenance. They're sending over a repair team, but it'll take a while for them to get here. I also grabbed some basic parts and lubricants that might help stabilize Ace's systems in the meantime."
Squaring her shoulders, Vanessa opens the toolbox and starts pulling out an array of wrenches, screwdrivers, and bottles of lubricant. She kneels down beside Ace, looking over the animatronic's exterior with a critical eye.
Vanessa: "Okay... let's start by checking your power core and motor functions." She reaches out to carefully lift up Ace's facade panel, revealing the glowing embers of her power core and tangled, seized-up gears.
Ace's eyes snap open, and her system starts glitching out. Her eyes dart around, scanning the room before her power runs out. She has a total system failure, and she shuts down completely.
As Ace's systems fail and she falls still once more, Vanessa's brow furrows in concern. She looks up at the others.
Vanessa: "That's not good... her power core is critically low and her mechanical functions are shot. We need to get her back to the workshop immediately if we have any hope of reviving her."
Freddy nods solemnly, already moving to lift the limp, heavy animatronic. He grunts with the effort.
Freddy: "I've got her. Let's get Ace back to the maintenance bay right away."
Monty and Roxanne exchange uneasy glances, but Monty shrugs and gives a nod.
Monty: "I suppose there's no point in leaving her here to rot. Might as well try to help the poor thing, even if it is a hassle."
Roxanne rolls her eyes but follows along without protesting further. Sun just stares at Ace's inert form morbidly fascinated, while Moon grins wider, always eager for more darkness and despair.
The group carefully carries the broken robot back through the abandoned corridors of the old Pizzaplex, making their way to the maintenance bay.
Three long and difficult days pass as the repair team works tirelessly to restore Ace to a functional state. Vanessa oversees the operations closely, determined to see the abandoned animatronic given a second chance at life.
Finally, after countless hours of painstaking repairs, adjustments and upgrades, Ace's eyes flicker back to life with a burst of light. Her wolf ears twitch and stand tall, and her tail lifts from the floor. Ace blinks rapidly as her optics adjust to the bright lights of the workshop.
Vanessa smiles in relief and exhaustion as she looks down at the repaired robot.
Vanessa: "Ace, can you hear me? How are you feeling?"
Ace moves around a little bit before looking at Vanessa.
Ace: "I feel better, but my programming is corrupted. I can fix it myself." She says as she does a system check and fixes her programming. "Why did you do this?" She asks as her wolf ears and wolf tail lower. "Why did you bother helping a broken animatronic like me?" She asks as she lowers her head. "I'm just a useless freak. That's the reason I was abandoned."
Vanessa looks at Ace with gentle concern, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. She shakes her head.
Vanessa: "You're not useless, Ace. No one deserves to be abandoned and left to rot like that. We helped because it was the right thing to do."
She glances up at the others and nods.
Vanessa: "We all played a part in this. Freddy, Monty, Roxanne, Sun, Moon... we all worked together to give you a second chance. You're not alone anymore."
The others nod in agreement. Even Roxanne gives a reluctant thumbs up, though her expression remains aloof.
Freddy chimes in, smiling warmly.
Freddy: "That's right, Ace. We might not be the most conventional group, but we look out for each other. That includes animatronics like yourself."
Monty grins and flexes a clawed hand.
Monty: "Hell yeah! Besides, it's not every day we get to resurrect a badass wolf robot. You're one of a kind!"
Sun waves excitedly.
Sun: "Welcome back, Ace! I'm so happy we could help fix you. Now we can play together, like a big pack!"
Moon just smirks, always eager to have a new 'friend' to torment, but holds his tongue for now.
Moon: "Welcome to the family, Ace. I think you'll fit in just fine here."
The others continue to reassure Ace, determined to help her understand that she has a place among them, even if her programming is still corrupted and adjusting to this new reality.
Ace: "Thanks guys." Ace says with a smile.
