As the sun shone in through the curtains in Myla's room, everything was quiet. Everything was peaceful and still, that was until her alarm went off. She hurriedly turned it off and sat up in her bed. It was the first day of the new school year and she was bound to make it the best one yet. Getting out of bed and heading to her closet, she grabbed out a tank top, a shirt that the collar hanged over on of her shoulders, and a pair of skinny jeans. 293Please respect copyright.PENANAjfUneewe6B

She headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower, changed, and put on a little bit of makeup. After she was ready, she hurried downstairs and went into the kitchen. Her mother was cooking some breakfast and her father sat at the table, reading a newspaper while looking at his phone here and there.
"Morning!" She said as she grabbed a piece of toast off the table and slabbed some butter on it, taking a bite afterwards. Her mother smiled, "Morning, you driving to school or taking the bus?" She rolled her eyes, "Driving of course! Never taking the bus again!" Her father nodded, "Same way as me when I got my license." Myla chuckled, "Alright, I'm heading out. See ya!" Her mother and father wished her well at school and she was off.
At school, she found a decent parking spot and headed into school. At her locker, she put what she didn't need at the moment in there, and grabbed what she did and closed the locker, "So, I heard that there was a party tonight?" Her friend, Amber, said after she had closed the locker. Myla jumped in surprise and then chuckled, "Yes, there is. And you're picking me up, right?" Amber chuckled nervously, "Well, I was going to go pick you up and then swing by and pick Jason up, but then Carly wanted to come and she just lives a little bit down the road..."
Myla chuckled, "Go ahead, just pick them up. Someone else we know is bound to be going." Amber smiled, "Thanks for understanding. Anyway, what's up with you and you know who?" Myla thought, then looked to her in confusion, "Kendall? Oh, there's nothing there. We just talk a lot. That's all!" Amber chuckled, "Yeah, just talking. Whatever you say." They both chuckled, and then walked off to class.
Once in class, they took their seats in the back. Jason walked in shortly after, followed by Carly, "Hey you two," Jason said, taking a seat, "Ready to party after school?" Amber nodded, "You know it! I heard that it's going to be really good. Like, no one else but all seniors are going." Myla nodded, "Because that's what it's for Amber. You silly goose." A seat beside Myla was then taken and joined into the little circle the others had made with their desks, "I see then, I'm not allowed to go?" Kendall said, a small laugh surfacing afterwards.
"No, of course you are! You are put of this graduating class!" Carly said, a bit of a whine in her voice. "Alright, if you guys say so. I was just going to sit about all night and play video games. But, you twisted my arm." Of course, as natural for Kendall, this was an obvious lie. He knew Myla was going and wanted to go since then. Ever since they met back in their freshman year, Kendall had fell in love with her and did anything just to get her attention.
But, with every little thing that he did, Myla wasn't impressed. Plus, she was in love with the most hottest and most popular guy in the school, Brady Carter. She knew nothing would happen, but hey, a girl could dream. "So, I'll pick you and Jason up, and then..." Carly stopped Amber mid sentence, "But, Myla doesn't have a way now." Kendall raised his hand a bit, "I can take her. I mean, if she wants me too." Myla nodded, "Alright then. Come by my place at 6?" Kendall nodded, "Yep, I'll be there."
The bell then rang and class began. But, Kendall couldn't focus on the work or even the teacher talking, he could only focus on how he might actually have a chance to talk to Myla and see how she feels about him.
The school day was winding down to a close and Myla couldn't wait to get out, "So, if you take the fifteen and then square it by three you get...?" Kendall said, tapping his pencil against his desk. He then looked up at Myla who was gazing at Brady. Kendall sighed, "Myla. Come on, you said you would help me with this!" He said, snapping his fingers in her face. Myla shook her head and looked to Kendall, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't...I wasn;t..." She then sighed, looking to the piece of paper in front of her.
Kendall, feeling some sort of jealousy, sat up straighter in his chair, "Well? What is it now? Your crush on Brady still?" Myla's cheeks flushed red and she shook her head, "Of course not! I mean, just because he's really cute, and he plays every sport in the school...okay, maybe it is." Kendall nodded, sighing and sitting back, "Well, he's also a douchebag. Didn't you hear what he did to Hazel? He ruined her life just by saying one thing! Imagine what would happen to you!"
Myla shrugged, "I'd take it. He would at least be talking about me." Kendall sighed once more, looking to his paper, "Come on, let's just get this done." Myla nodded, beginning the work which was assigned and taking small glances here and there at Kendall. He had just gotten angry over nothing but a small little crush she had. Nothing more and nothing less, so why was Kendall so defensive about it?
Myla had just let it go and decided to continue working, helping here and there with anything Kendall didn't understand and just thinking.
The school day ended and Myla was headed to her car when she saw someone leaning up against it. "Oh, your Myla, right?" The person said, a smile on their face as they looked to her. Myla stopped, a redness coming to her cheeks, "Oh, hey there Brady! What's up?" Brady smiled, "Well, I was wondering if you were going to that party tonight?" She nodded quickly, "Yeah, I am. I'm going with a few of my friends." He nodded, "I see. Well, I was going to ask if maybe you wanted to go with me? I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to." Myla shook her head, "No, I would...I would love too!" 293Please respect copyright.PENANANS5tlDqoOm
"Alright then, I'll pick you up at 7?" 293Please respect copyright.PENANAIsA3yuTTph
"Yeah, anything special I should wear?" 293Please respect copyright.PENANAmXCdJeLxvi
Brady shook his head, "Nah, just wear what you want." He then smiled at her once more and then walked away. Myla's heart was beating a mile a minute and her palms were sweaty. She had no clue why the hottest guy in her school has just asked her to the senior party, but she wasn't going to question it. She hurriedly got to her car, started it up, and then headed home. She couldn't wait for tonight, but one problem remained. She had to tell Kendall that she had another offer. And not only another offer, but Brady's offer. 293Please respect copyright.PENANADSoJ9nPGP3
She sighed and turned up her radio, trying to drown out the background of the day, trying to find out a way to tell Kendall without him getting mad at her, which was a big jump.
