Silence.
7 AM, Monday Morning.
Ashleigh's POV
I was all curled up in bed, ignoring the fresh sounds of the outside from my window. I was feeling the good moment of keeping my head in the pillow, with the air of the air conditioner flowing through my veins.
That is, until my phone beeped the alarm for me to wake up.
Aw heck no.
I was enjoying the moment, why does life have to interrupt it? I grabbed my bunny slippers from under the bed and shoved them on to the floor, and put them on. I then reached for the phone next to my computer and read the time, and date.
I guess it's time to work, my butt.
I then heard my "old-but-quirky-still" mom call me, I guess she's making cookies for breakfast again, come on, all I need is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for me to be prepared. Well, at least that is what I think.
My mom is pretty much different from all the other moms, she doesn't care if your late and likes to be gentle and slow, and calm. You may guess it's a blessing to have this kind of mother, but believe me, I'm late for school and stuff because of her...
I used the original high school line that clears all my stress and let's me get ready....
"I'm just looking for something important Mom! I forgot my...um..shop uniform!"
and then she replied
"Okay, just get down soon sweetie!"
I rolled my eyes, she didn't give a specific time limit, like 'Be down in 5/10/15 minutes!' or something, which will let me breathe.
I then opened the wardrobe and immediately got my uniform. Without thinking, I dragged my phone into the bag and sat quickly to the vanity area. I tried to fix my hair nicely, but since I'm in a rush and the Candy shop opens at 7:30, A nice braid on the side shall do.
I then grabbed my backpack and went downstairs. I then saw a usual living room scene, my college brother playing video games (he doesn't really have College yet.),my Dad reading The American Times, and my mom, baking cookies. I sighed and sat down.
No one bothered to say Good Morning to me, just my mom after she handed me a bunch of cookies in one plate. I seriously had no other choice but to eat it.
When I then got a phone call from my Boss while washing my plate, he said that I need to get going now. I replied yes with a sigh and hung up. When I was about to leave, my mom hugged me. Dad and Aaron (as I said to you, my brother) was still serious. I then looked back at mom and smiled, as I got out of the house. I breathe away a sigh of relief as I smelled the fresh air and walked to work.

10 Minutes later, I parked myself in a building which says Sweet Treats Shop. This was where I work. I looked at my watch and moaned a few words, as I entered the door and then the faculty door which leads me to the inside of the whole process of these candies. I was then welcomed by another girl who, based on her ID, was named Sandra. I greeted her back and we started talking for a while, until the boss walked in and crossed his arms smugly, and grinned at all the people who were inside.
"It's time to begin, guys."
