Greetings! I'm an avid reader and lover of books - I have over a hundred in my library already and am always adding more. My favorite genres are fantasy and science fiction, of course, but I always enjoy classics as well.

I'm currently working on writing stories in a series I call "Song", which is science-fantasy. You may read my short, "Dreams", to get a taste for some aspects of this imaginary universe while I work on completing the first in the series, "White Noise".

"Every true gift is a sacrifice." A fir tree, once a gift to a boy from his father, becomes so much more in this original fable backstory of one of the least described props in the traditional Nativity scene.

The inspiration for this short story hit me suddenly when I saw The Christmas Tree Contest here on Penana. I started writing, and it wasn't long before I realized this was going to be a lot longer than 700 words!

Anyway, this story is my contribution to #LightTheWorld, a worldwide movement to make this Christmas season a little brighter by sharing Christ's love in small ways with those around you.
