When Ju Ming returned home, the first thing he heard was his father's voice.
He was shouting at his sister. She was treated kindly at first but when she turned four everything changed, because that year Ju Ming was born.
When Ju Ming was born, Ju Wenjun was happy. But it didn't last long before her parents slowly lost interest in her. She tried many ways to get their attention but it always made her situation worse and soon they just completely ignored her. Later Wenjun was treated like she wasn't a part of the family and was just a servant. At dinner she wouldn't be allowed to eat unless she cleaned the house first and served them dinner.
Ju Ming ignored his sister. Wenjun believed that he was ignoring her because he still thought of her as family and didn't want to abuse her. But in truth, her brother hated her. He just hasn't hurt or yelled at her because he thought of himself above her.
One day a women came in, she found out about Ju Wenjun's situation and looked extremely annoyed. She went to go find his parents. When she left the room he heard shouting and went closer to hear what they were talking about. When he neared the door separating him and this women, he tripped on a wire connecting to the television. It was barley noticeable but the women noticed the sound and calmed down. She told his parents to leave her alone for a moment. When his parents left the room she came towards him and said ''I hope you're not like them''. She handed him a pendant and said to him something that he would remember his whole life ''Remember who's important to you, and never let them go", before leaving him silently.
He put the pendant over his neck and opened it. It was blank and gave the feeling it was waiting for something.
One week later she left.
As the years went by, Ju Ming turned 9 while his sister turned 11. That year his parents decided to go overseas, his mother told him they were going to live with their aunt. She looked up at him as if she was betrayed, but he didn't care and continued to beat her. His father heard the commotion and came up. He found out what happened and spoke. ''Why are you bothering you brother, you live because of us! Don't bother your brother because your bored!'' his father went down to go grab something and when he came back up he had a belt with him. His father whipped her back with the belt until she bled while on the side Ju Ming watched, his face saying she deserved it.
After he finished packing he looked forward to meeting his aunt, because he heard she came when he was young but couldnt remember her. He saw a car that had the word taxi on top and wondered why it was here. His mother came out of nowhere and started to speak ''You'll be taking that to your aunts'' he looked anxious after hearing that but calmed down, after his mother explained everything.
