There is a certain catharsis in the unknown and there is a lot Nick Warren does not know. 

He doesn't know where life is going to take him -- he certainly does not know what's going to happen. If he did, maybe he would have had time to prepare: both then and now.

Nick doesn't have much going for him at the age of eighteen and a half but his roots have been laid in the small town of Sweetport, Oregon and that's where he plans on keeping them. 

Until Dorian comes along with a knife wound in his side and an affinity for putting his nose in places where it doesn't belong -- which is probably how he got involved with the Vixens, a gang with mafia ties, in the first place. So Nick thinks.

Dorian removes Nick from his comfort zone all while dredging up memories in Nick that are rather left forgotten.

What type of trouble with a former orphan and a trouble making Vixen get into? Only the fates know and there's catharsis in that.
