“As a traitor to the Dusk Alliance, we have decided your fate. Warrior soldiers that have retired from our Alliance, the Dutai, will be your demise. We usually discuss terms for if you survive through this challenge that we may grant you a new identity and second chance, but that is not likely to be possible in this situation. Your attempt at challenging us with this Faerlu Faction has been short lived, as was your life in the end. Dismissed,” Guardian Ryfen finished boldly before standing from his chair-shaped throne.

The woman next to him stood as well and together the two walked out. Her hair was bright enough blonde that it could’ve been mistaken to be white even. Kai noticed her as she glanced frequently during his short meeting with Guardian Ryfen.
Soldiers escorted him back to the Prisoner section of the city; this was his time in the day where he was allowed the privilege of training with other prisoners that were to fight within Wravalon.
One man bumped into Kai as he walked by with a wooden sword, staring at him with some sort of anger within his eyes. He was bald headed but had broad shoulders and was taller than Kai with a more muscular build. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAus0Bdg59DS

“Hey! Heads up!” Another prisoner yelled out from behind Kai. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAnhx2moXfgw

As he turned his head, he made enough of a visual to notice the wooden sword being thrown his way. It landed against his chest sideways by the time he realized what was coming towards him.

“What’s this for?” Kai asked confusingly.

The one that threw him the practice weapon was leaner but still appeared fit while having a goatee and spiked black hair. Kai looked at him just to realize that he was pointing in the direction of the prisoner that bumped into him previously. While turning his head back in the direction of where he was pointing, Kai brought his wooden sword up and luckily parried an attack that was already headed his way. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAo5dKMQlFAk

“We heard of who you are,” said the prisoner who looked and sounded equally angry. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAu561RBXqW9

Kai pulled his sword back and slid past the attacker while swinging his sword to the side as if to hit it onto the back of his current sparring partner.

CLACK.

To his surprise, his opponent reached his weapon down behind his back and blocked Kai before his sword reached him.

“You’re better than most,” Kai applauded.
“And you are still a nobody that thought himself better than the rest of us,” the man spoke while turning to face Kai and slashing towards him.

Kai parried again then rolled underneath his opponent's next strike.

“I am merely just trying to prove to everyone that this particular enemy I am declaring war against is not as strong as they seem,” Kai finished while clashing weapons once again.
“What makes you think so?” The prisoner asked before unloading a fury of strikes. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAkmB8Btyy5g

The captured Faerlu leader remained composed as he parried and dodged what came his way. Near the end of the combination Kai spun while taking a crouch-like pose but with one leg fully extended, knocking one foot from his opponent out from under him.
As the man landed, he looked as if he had his breath taken out of him. While he regained his bearings, Kai already was holding the point of his wooden practice sword firm to the man's chest.

“Because no matter my enemy's strengths, I will become stronger and always find a way. For this is my forever journey, and I will change the Expanse. I’m sorry if you don’t like that, get in line,” Kai said as he lifted his sword and walked away back to where the other prisoner originally gave him his weapon. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAgWXZ3MMNLK

“You ready to spar next?” He asked.
“I suppose I am. Sorry about that, he is a nice most of the time, but he tries to scare the new prisoners when he gets a chance. I believe it to be some sort of dominance tactic,” the prisoner stated about Kais previous opponent.
“That sort of thing doesn’t work with me,” Kai responded. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAoagQ7QhH8R
“I see that, Kai, was it? It’s truly nice to meet you, I believe we have something in common. My name’s Ashton, Benson over there was the fellow you left in the dirt.” Pointing over to another prisoner that was heavier set with short brown hair, Ashton continued. “The man over there is Pierce, we tend to try to stick together as we are the more skilled fighters out of all of the prisoners.”
“I understand, then let’s see how good you are then,” Kai said.

After the training time was over with, the soldiers on duty began to usher the prisoners back inside of their designated buildings. On his way to the entrance of where he was currently residing, Kai felt as if someone was staring at him. Quickly snapping his head in the direction of the individual, all he could make out was someone wearing a dark colored cloak looking in from the other side of the wall where one of the many windows that was barred up was placed.
Kai continued staring trying to make out a face but couldn’t before he was pushed behind by a soldier and towards the entrance of his building. Once in his room, Kai sat on his bed while staring at the wall. 109Please respect copyright.PENANAnco66ENAIN

“Who is it?” He asked the stranger outside of his door.
“I am Dhelena, daughter of Sygnen leader Guardian Ryfen. May I come in to speak with you?”
