The tower stood, finally complete. It took them thousands of years to get this far. Nothing was going to stop them! The Babylonians worked for generations to get this tower to heaven, and here it was, touching the entrance. Their conquest etching its way into the sky.
The tower itself had changed drastically from when they first started way back then. First, it was stone, then iron, then steel, after that a lightweight carbon fiber, and finally the famed Xeno-Crystal. The tower had millions of steps going into a spiral, disappearing into the sky.
One by one they took up arms, and in a few legions took to the stairs. They climbed and climbed and finally; they got to heaven. But what they saw wasn’t what they expected.
They saw millions of legions of Angels staring back at them.
