In a world where the first thing people judge you on is the element you were born as, Tevolia Evergrow faces the worst and best time of her life.

Tevolia-or more commonly known in her town as Tev-never had an adventure. And that’s how she thought it would always be. Living with her adopted family, she’s raised as an Air, most not knowing her true element. Or elements.

After a couple of fires and visits, Tevolia’s secret is out and now she’s been sent to team up with other elements to destroy the thing that endangers all of humanity-The Black Abyss. But finding these people won’t be as easy as Tevolia hoped, as unimaginable dangers lie ahead, and the problems she’s dealt with all her life show themselves in new forms.

Now, she’s on an adventure she never could have imagined, and there are only two ways to end it. Defeat The Black Abyss or die trying.

This is my first story on Penana, and although I have been writing this for a while, I know that there will be some grammatical issues or maybe a couple plot holes in it.I accept all constructive criticism, but please bare with me throughout this process!

This was once a world without magic. With vast lands, beautiful forests, metal beasts that could fly across oceans. No one remembers what happened. No one knows where it all went. There are no mountains now. No forests. No metal beasts. Only the boundless ocean that lay before each island. Not many understood how to use magic. Not many know why they received it at such a high price. Billions died. Their bodies lost to the deep sea of nothingness.

And now, a woman appeared out of nowhere. They don’t know where she came from. They don’t know why she’s here. They don’t know what her goal is. Some suspect she isn’t from their world. But no one really knows. Many claim to know her name, but everyone spits out a different word.

I’m hoping to find her before they do. I’m hoping she’s the one I think she is. I’m hoping she is alive and well, wandering the Earth like myself. I pray every night I see her at least one more time. I just need to see her face one last time.
