For those of you who don't know, I'm a girl in high school. There's this guy I've liked for a while now, and we are kinda friends. He lives in my development so we go on the same bus. Let's call him... J.

I'm really close friends with J's 2 best friends. Let's call them M and C. When I told M and C that I liked J, they freaked out and told him. This situation quickly got complicated when J revealed to C that he was initially considering asking me out, but later decided against it. His reasoning was disheartening, as he mentioned concerns about our compatibility and his mother's disapproval of dating. In bafflement, I couldn't help but disagree with his judgment.
