This contest is inspired by the challenge on Reddit where a user asked other users to come up with a horror story in two sentences.
In this contest however, you may come up with a story of any genre. It could be comedy, horror, mystery, romantic, tragic - be creative! Have fun!
Just remember, only two sentences. And, although there's no word limit, try to keep it as short as you canbecause a sentencecanbe very long.
Write a whodunit story, focusing on the crime and the solution, within 10,000 words. The crime can be anything - from murder to robbery to kidnappings - be creative.
Each writer can split his/her story into a maximum of 5 entries.
Have fun writing it!
The goal is simple: bring fear to the reader in as few words as possible, anyway you see fit with your own brand of creativity.
For this contest, we'll be working together to create a short story! Each writer will pick up where the last person left off and keep writing.
I'll start things off:
"When one dares to dream, we project an impossible future. That is, until we act upon our dreams and make them actions."
Winston looked up from the scrawled note that had been shoved under his door. Dare to dream? He thought. There is nothing left in our nation to dream for. With our government, we have no hope of making any change.
