After a short drive we park up and head over to the coffee shop, checking what kind of stalls and stores there is around. Luckily there's a camping shop so we send the driver in to get cot beds, sleeping bags and other bits to keep in the new place so the lads can take turns and rest.
We also a place that does refurbed white good's and tell him to get a chest freezer with a fridge freeze, washer and dryer. May as well make it usable for now, the lads can make a start on somethings for now. We left the plants and herbs behind so they can start getting it safe for us to be in, last thing we need is to alert the strigoi that we have moved in. I know Draven is bringing a witch from the coven we work with to cast a spell so they die if they come into our land.
The witch is the niece of his mate, she will be coming with her mother and I hope that if anyone knows if Ze is their daughter it will be her. As I know if she had help before she died it would of been from her.
'Draven will be here in tomorrow, he's rang the place we are staying at and he's all booked in' I say to the boys, as we walk towards the coffee shop.
'That was quick, but at least were getting thing moving. the sooner I have my own space the better' Cain reply's
'Well first thing is updating the electric and heating system, along with starting the plaster work and flooring' jax say's
'Well we can look at plumber and electrician's while where at the coffee shop' Cain say's
'Sounds good to me' I reply back to them
I notice a man infront of a notice board and stop maybe he know anyone to recommend.
'Excuse me sir, would we be able to put a poster up there?' I say the man
'Hi yes of course, what kind of poster?' He ask's
'We recently bought the old manor house on the hill and was going to pay anyone that would help with work. Also happy to get any kids some work in the grounds as it's very over grown' I say back, as Can hands the poster
'Your lord Phillip, I'm Max I run the sweet shop over there as well as maintaining the board here. I'm happy to put it up and hand them out at the youth club we run every night' Max reply's
'That's great, if you have any recommendations of any contractors that would be great' I say back to him
'Yeah of course, i'm just glad that someone has taken it over after everything that happened there' Max say's
He grabs some cards and posters of the board and hands them to Cain and he begins to start calling number's.
'Thank you this will be a big help, there is alot of work that needs doing' I say to Max
'Anytime i'm happy to help' Max reply's
'Thank you again' I say
We head back towards the coffee shop, Cain still calling the number's and booking in people to look at what need's doing. Jax goes into the housing agency, as we walk past to pick up the paperwork. I can smell the coffee and it smells amazing but I can also smell Ze she's been here recently, she must be around and I know Jax has noticed as he come's out.
I see his body language change, he wants to find her and take her back home. His primal instincts are taking over, the urgency to just keep her safe. Once we find our mates or take one we build a bond with them, we read their emotions and read their thoughts. We also are able to find them no matter what like a string that leads us to them. We always find our other half's unless their is either strong magic or dark magic in the way.
I take a look around and It's a lovely day the sun is shinning some flowers are blooming and it's warm. It's fresh and clean. No storms are brewing, no smell of rain or thunder.
I quickly check my phone and see there's a text an update on the strigoi, I show the lads and it's not great there is about 10 of them living in an old building but there's only 3 that come and go the rest stay within 1 mile of the building. One came back here and was tracked. He was seen nearby at the edge of the woods, near a women sitting on a bench. She approached as she tried talking to him, like she knew who it was but she lost him.
'Well we will definitely need to keep an eye on them' Cain say's
'What if it was Ze it was near?' Jax say's in a nervous tone
'I'm sure she is fine, your acting as if she is your mate lately' Cain say's in a mocking tone
I just look at him with Jax and Cain looks back at us, looking confused then it click's.
'Don't be stupid, no one has found their true mate's in forever, we both know it's a myth' Jax say's trying to hide his feelings
'Don't say a word more' I say in a hushed voice, one that only us three can hear.
He look's shocked and doesn't move or say another word. He puts a hand on Jax'x shoulder as we head into the coffee shop. We get a table and look at the menu, we all decided on a latte and pastry.
Me and Jax stay seated as Cain places the order and pay's, as we wait I notice that Jax's look's up and we all get her scent she is here. Jax can't take his eye's of her, she notice's him. Their bond is slowly building and soon they wont be able to be away from each other soon enough.
I watch as she talks to the girl behind the counter, they are clearly good friends with each other. Then the mention going out, well that's going to be fun. I know that Jax will want to go to stay close to her, that mean's she will need a guard on her at all times. If the strigoi are interested in her we need to know why and seeing as she is possibly Draven's daughter she will need protection.
I quickly send a message to two of our trusted guards at all cost's, I keep it vague saying that the strigoi has been around her the most. Then I leave it at that for now till we know more, then we can set up a proper security detail on her. For her safety and Jax's, I cant afford to loose them both and I doubt Draven will want to loose her all over again.
I see Jax on edge, watching her closely and pinning for her, she feels it. The pull to him, her breathing hitched and her pulse very irregular. I can say that she will be in his bed or him in hers in the next 48 hours. It's a strong bond they have and it's only just starting.
I just don't want to be hearing them at it and I doubt Cain does either, so I pray that they go to her bed or at least wait till the house is ready which doubting they can wait that long. She feel's him watching her, she smells his scent as she keeps breathing it in instinctively. It seems to be coming to her naturally,, feeling the bond but i'm sure she doesn't know what it is or what to do but i'm sure we can sort that over the next few weeks.
We will introduce her slowly to our world, that is if guys stay away from her at the "club" she will be attending as I know our men and Jax will rip their throats out. We watch as she leaves guessing she is going back home.
'I think we should all go out to the "club" don't you?' Cain say's knowing what we are all thinking.
'Without a doubt, I wont stand by and let some sleeze ball try anything with her' Jax say's back
Where all in agreement about it.
'Shall we head back and make sure everything is prepped for the arrival of everyone tomorrow?' I ask
'yes' they both say back
We finish up at the coffee shop and head back to the car, hopefully we can have he house completed within a year but at least livable within 6 months. But we can always set up cabins for something for now. Once we arrived back at the resort we go back to our room's, making sure that all is ready for tomorrow. I see Jax is embracing the scent as we walk, her scent is everywhere around us.
He is extra on edge not being able to be with her or hold her. Our instincts are you be with our mates and to claim them so our scent mix's with theirs, it'll stop other vamps going near her. But how do we stop human males going near her as rings don't work like they used to. Human men think seeing a wedding ring is a challenge, when we was human no one dared touch a married women.
But that is something we can short later as once he has her in his arms she won't be able to leave them as he will keep her with him. I don't think they will be leaving a room for a while either.
As we enter the small suite we have Jax opens all the windows on the side that face her place so we can hear her easily. I notice a box waiting on a table in the living room.
'Look's like the extra camera arrived boss' Cain say's
'Well lets get them up, have you hacked into their camera system?' I ask back
'Yeah did it before I went to sleep, the link is with the team so someone is always watching' Cain reply's
'Good we need to make sure we spot the filth if it comes back' Jax say's
'Don't worry we will keep her safe, you also need to tell me about your little pet' Cain say's with a huge grin
'SHE IS NOT A PET!!' Jax shouts
'I know just winding you up, she is very pretty but please claim her your being a moody git' Cain says patting him on the shoulder as Jax glares at him
He is definatly sounding possessive already, it kinda funny watching the big bad bear being all soft for a girl. No female as ever gotten this much attention from him before.
'Have you ordered more Cain for the property?' I ask
'Yeah they are arriving tomorrow and being fitted once they ae here, also sorted a plumber and election to come and quote' Cain say's
'Perfect the sooner we have everything booked in and started the better' I reply
'Yes we agree, this place is nice but abit small and we need to hunt or get our self's some blood banks set up' Cain say's
'I know what you mean, once we are settled we will have everything in place for that' I reply
'Good I need a good hunt, maybe at the party later I can find a sleez bag to feed on for now' Cain say with mischieve
'You are an animal' Jax replys as we all laugh
'Well duh I drink blood' Cain reply's as he heads into his room
'I swear there's something wrong with him' Jax say's
'Yeah but we couldn't be without him though, our days would be boring' I admit
We both head into our rooms to rest and make sure were ready for tomorrow, grabbing a strong drink. Whisky and i grab a blood bag from the freezer and add a few drops. We eat and drink human food but we also out blood with most things, blood is our life source but it has to be clean either human or animal.
When we hunt it's mostly animals or horrible humans, we love place with high crime as there's plenty of people to feed on. Here it will be difficult, but i'm sure we can find someone.
I look at my emails and see I have the info on our Ze, I message Jax to come in and read what was found. I hear him come in and he sits on a chair as I hand him to laptop with the details.
'She's had a rough life hasn't she.' Jax say's
'Looks like it and the murder she was charged with seems fishy, loads of blood but no body, that doesn't seem right' I say
He nods in agreement with me.
'Send your self a copy and send one to Cain, we can trust him on this and we will need him to help her with it all. Plus he will protect her if you can't be around' I say
'Okay i just don't want to loose her, I'll understand if she doesn't want me but to loose her from this world I wouldn't be able to keep going' Jax say's defeated
'I know and we wont let that happen, she wont die. And we will try and convince her to get to know you and not run' I say trying to ease him
'I'll go back to my room and rest for abit' Jax's says as he gets up tp leave
I nod back knowing he will need it. He hasn't been sleep much out of worry, he wants to be with her and it's killing him not being able to hold her or see her for long. Hopefully that will change soon, I love seeing mate bonds form.
I sit nursing my drink knowing I'll need to get some rest as tomorrow will be a busy day, especially if Ze is Draven's daughter. He'll try stop her from going out tomorrow and i'm interested in seeing how he will react to Jax being her mate. He loves him and has helped him become the man he is today, taught him all about our world when he was turned.
Plus seeing Draven be a dad will be funny, he has been a stone cold person for so long. Loosing his love was hard for him and the romour about a child didn't help. I just hope that we will know tomorrow, she will be the first of her kind. I wonder if she has a vampire side or just fully human.
I finally decide to leave all the questions for tomorrow and just rest tonight, as our life's are going to become way more interesting. Plus we need to find the put why the strigoi's are here and destroy them, before they become out of hand. No matter how many we kill there will always be more around the corner. I finally decide to go to bed with the paperwork that needs sorting.
