"Do you think you can kill that person for me?"

"Thank you! I can always rely on you!" The boss said as the man walked out of the room.
"Xdred!"
"Yes, brother?"
"If he is still alive... I won't hesitate to kill you if you're men do so much as lay a finger on him!" Alfred yelled
"I can't take a man who can barely breathe seriously."
"Well, you better learn too! I swear I won't hesitate!"
"Thank you for calling me by the name I gave myself and not our disgraceful name."
"Polemos? You hate it that much?"
"Don't speak of my last or my first."
"I hate it too. However, it's the name I was given. I know who I am at the end of the day, do you?"
"Shut up! Shut the hell up! I hate people like you the most! You don't know who you are, nobody does! I've seen things that would make the normal human go insane, that would rip their hair one strand at a time. If you think you're that strong, then maybe you should break out first before saying so." Xdred said before leaving the room.

CHAPTER 27: Sacrifice

"We're totally wasting our time! We all know Pete right!" Aza said tiredly.
"Well, we need to make sure. However, we only covered one floor, we haven't even covered the second yet." Koji said with a simple shrug.
"At least we're halfway done with finishing this floor!" Hestia said putting her hands in the air"
"No, we finished this floor, we need to finish the other floor now... Either way that would be worse!" Dion corrected her as she put her hands down.
"Stop right there! You don't look like you belong so well!"
"We don't?" Dion started grabbing his sword.
"You don't." The man said having Zoe in his hands.
"Is that an issue?"
"It is."
"Choose?"
"Choose?"
"How bad do you want me to beat you down?" Dion said, pulling out his blade.
"Oh, oh. My apologies! Anyways, let's fight so I can clock in."
That's when Dion and the man clashed and stayed clashing.
"No way," Koji said surprised.
"This man is clashing with Dion with only his hands against Dion's sword," Aza said, eyes glued.
"This can't be real!" Hestia added on in a shocked tone.
"You guys! Go further down! I will hold this man here!" Dion said focused on the clash before cracking a smile before blood started to drip from his mouth
"Dion!" Koji said before feeling Aza grab his hand and start dragging him along.
"We have to help!" Koji said, looking back.
"We only slow Dion down!" Aza said, running with an upset face. "Trust Dion, he's one of the strongest people I know! You know that don't you?"
"You're mind, thanks Aza! Let's save Alfred!" Koji said as they all started to run at a full sprint.
This man is strong. I can't play around with him. If I have to sit here and clash with him the whole time I will do so. However, I know that this can only work for so long, I also can't get Zoe restricted... Not here.
"You're pretty strong one arm! What's your name?"
"Dion, my good sir! What's yours?"
"Sonny!"
...
I think we're finally nearing the end of the first level." Pete said yawning
"Hey, cheer up Pete, it's probably the first level you've gotten to in a while," I said, patting his back.
"Alright, from here on I'm not doing this," Pete said his face went slightly red.
"Look on the bright side, after this you can try t-"
"I said I'm not doing this!" Pete yelled his face getting to a lighter red as Kingsley and I just started laughing.
"Just keep laughing it up..." Pete said but then froze, forcing me and Kingsley to see what he was seeing. That's when we saw this little boy, who looked younger than me mopping. He didn't have a happy look on his face or a sad one just pale, emotionless.
"Should we... Question?" Kingsley said we all looked at each other.
"We can't." We all said, sighing heavily, walking towards him.
"Hey!" Pete said, walking up to the kid.
"What do you want?"
Attitude.
"Well... Why are you mopping?"
"Well, I have a job to do, don't you?"
"Job?"
"If this is about my age, yes, I am 7 years old! However, when you don't have a family supporting you, you'll take anything."
"Is that true?" I said walking up to him.
"Yes. I supposed your rich government people don't understand that do you?"
"I guess I don't."
"That's right you don't! Now your dirty footprints are going to ruin what I've already done and guess whose paycheck gets affected!"
"Alright, little man I guess we'll-"
"Wait!" I had to cut Pete off there. I couldn't, I just couldn't.
"First thing first we aren't government dogs. Second off... Join us."
"Z, I love new members and all but-"
"Wait! Let him answer." Sorry, Kingsley but I need to get an answer now.
"Join you? Ruin the chance you take my week payment?"
"I promise you something greater whatever payment you're getting right now!"
"Better than minimum wage?"
"Tenfold."
"..."
"..."
"Alright. What do you want from me?"
"Take us to Ground 4."
"Alright follow me. You also don't have to be so intense just say it to me." The boy said walking forward ahead of me, Pete, and Kingsley.
"Sorry, you two. I know I acted differently there. It's just-"
"He reminded you of yourself," Kingsley said which surprised me.
"Yes... At one point, I do anything to get money for my grandma, anything."
"Well, we'll have to do a background check and all that and tell the other members."
"What if they disapprove? I'm still new and I'm making the calls that Alfred should be making. I don't want to cause trouble because of my emotions."
"You're fine. After all, we got your back." Pete said, smiling as we finally made it to the second ground.
"Thanks, guys I-" That's when I felt it, the strong presence of Zoe even the kid in front of us stopped right in his tracks.
"You know, maybe that tenfold isn't worth it."
I don't even blame him for saying this, this presence is making it so hard to breathe I barely feel alive, it's suffocating me! Who has the power to produce this much Zoe? Our answer came to us once we walked around the corner.
"Dion!" Pete yelled getting Dion's attention who was clashing with a man.
"You gents, go ahead! I'll hold him here!"
At first, we were going to fight him on it but none of us were on that caliber.
"That was your friend?" The boy said as we all run past Dion
"Yup! Pretty strong huh?"
"Yeah, he is. Say, why do you guys want to go down to the last floor anyways?"
"Well, there's someone we need to see."
"Oh, well okay!"
I don't want to tell him everything just yet, even if I want him to grow as a person. Just because I don't feel any bad intent, shouldn't mean I should be accepting people all of a sudden. We have to keep our guard up at all times!
"Hey, Z?"
"Yeah, Kingsley?"
"So, what's our game plan?"
"Well, uhm. I don't know."
"Hey, Pete." We both said while running.
"Yeah?"
"What's the plan?"
"The plan is... Uhm. Forget about the plans! We check our floor, and we rush towards the final floor, and we just beat anyone in our way!"
"I like it, let's go! We're almost to the third floor if we keep this speed!" Kingsley said smiling
Alfred. I didn't get to spend much time with you but walking into you hanging from medal bars drinking air teas, helping me when I was at my lowest, helping so many others have a house, food, and water. We will save you no matter what!

"Alright don't worry guys! I have your backs even if Dion is not with us anymore!" Hestia said while Koji and Aza, ran right behind her.
"I'm glad that you are here, Hestia!" Aza said smiling
"Same, when we get home, we should totally... make a dress!"
"I'm all for that!"
"Alright, I love talking about dresses and all but aren't you guys concerned we haven't seen anyone else?" Koji butted in
"Oh... That's sort of concerning... However, the floors are huge, and they need at least thirty minutes of checking before they even search half of the floor." Aza said
"Well, we took the first two floors so shouldn't Z, Pete, and Kingsley be ahead of us? Or at least you know, right next to us?" Koji said, making the two questions.
"Well, unless they forgot their own plan and checked the first floor anyways..." Hestia said, "But that would be so silly." Hestia finished off her comment by laughing at it.
"No, they totally did..." Aza and Koji both said, sighing.
"Found you!" Someone from the top of the ceiling came out of nowhere smashing the ground, the group of three barely dodging. The man looked like he was on an adventure; he even had bananas on the side of his waist.
"Hey, watch it, I'm trying to walk here!" Hestia said in an angry tone.
"Sorry, but I don't think I can let you go any further." The man said, standing back up.
"How many times do I have to say it! It's not a sneak attack if you aren't being sneaky!" Another man said dropping down from the same roof landing on one foot and standing on one foot.
"Dude, do you always have to make me look like an idiot..."
"That's not me doing that, my friend."
"Oi, why are you guys chatting it up while in my presence?" Aza said, putting her hair back up.
"Quiet. You're not a queen nor beautiful!" The first man said.
"Don't say that to a woman, you idiot!" The man next to him said.
"Don! Please! For once let me get inside their heads!"
"No can do Jano, you need to be nicer to women. Until they throw a punch then it's fair game."
"I don't like your way of thinking!" Hestia said.
"Calling all the lighting to my hands! Lighting Fall!" That's when lighting started to fall from the ceilings.
"Now you can hit them," Don said
"Finally! You're going down! Jano said, running towards Aza who was already setting up her next move.
"Take this!" Hestia said, kicking Jano's jaw and sending him flying.
"Alright! All of you are going to pay for that!" That's when Jano ran up to Hestia and grabbed her legs and pulled her under the ground.
"Huh." Koji and Aza both said.
"Well, I guess he thinks he is better than me since he took the strongest one out of you three and dragged her down. Guess I'll have to kill all three of you to prove him wrong." The man said, still standing on one foot.
"Don, was it?" Koji said, pulling out his blades.
"Yes, it was."
"Hey, Aza! Let's show him that the gap between us and a Top-Five is getting smaller by the day!"
"Right!"
"That's what they're called? Top-Fives huh? Can't wait to see one!"
"You won't be able to. We're ending this now." That's when Koji ran up and started to use his blades
"6-Pack style! Dancing moon!" Koji said cutting moons that worked their way to the man.
"Stop making me yawn. Repel!" That's when the technique came straight back to Koji.
"A repel technique. So annoying." Koji said standing up after dodging the attack.
"Well, it keeps me alive so..."
"Fair enough."
"Calling all the lighting to my hands! Judgmental Lady!" Aza said dropping down a giant lightning strike
"Repel"
That's when it went straight back up and went right through Aza.
"Aza!"
"That's what I was waiting for! Tase!" That's when Aza landed a hit on Don catching him off guard.
"Koji!"
"On it! 6-Pack style! Dance Of Fire!" Koji dashed through and cut Don, leaving a scar.
"Woah. You guys hit me..."
"Yeah, and we do a lot mor-" That's when Aza's arm shot out blood.
"What," Aza said, and Koji looked in fear.
"I didn't want to do this, but you left me no choice!" That's when they saw a tentacle arm in Aza's arm right in the middle.
"Aza! Damn you!" Koji said before his leg got caught and he was brought upwards making him drop his swords and wrapping him in a tentacle.
"I was going to play with my food but now I see that's just not happening now, is it? So, I guess I'll just kill you!"
"Come to me, swords!" That's when one sword flew and cut the tentacle where Koji's hand and slid in perfectly in his grasp, and the other one went to Koji's mouth.
"6-Pack style! Sword Guidance!" That's when Koji did a spin and cut the tentacle all around him.
"Not done yet! 6-Pack Style! Dancing Stars!" That's when Koji sent a barrage of air chops and cut Aza out of the tentacle.
"Thank you, Koji!"
"Not a problem."
"You two just keep pulling tricks out of a bag."
"What can I say? We make a good circus act" Koji said with a smile.
"But Koji, I only see one clown," Aza said with a smirk
"Quiet with your pitiful attempt to try to get inside of my head! You're good at chopping things but are you this good?" Don said, sending a barrage of tentacles his way.
"Girl. You're good with your lighting, so let's test your lightning-fast reactions!" That's when he sent tentacles twice as fast as Koji towards her.
"I've been wanting to test this out more! Calling all the lighting to my body! Goddess of Lightning!" That's when Aza's body started to Zap and crack with the occasional lighting strike going around her.
"She got stronger." Was all that was going through Don's head.
"Lighting's Beauty Display!" That's when Aza blazed through all the tentacles and landed another solid punch on the man.
"I see you're good at this, however, your friend there not on his game."
"What?" Aza turned around to see Koji struggling and getting stabbed in the arm as well.
"Koj-"
"Who told you to turn around while we're fighting!" That's when he smacked Aza so hard it sent her flying.
"Damn it! I let my guard down!"
"Now, to take my first victim!" Don said surrounding all the tentacles around Koji.
Aza move your damn body! You have to make it this time! If you fail him again! Koji has taken on so much for you before! Repay the favor! You're not a damsel in distress, right? Then Move! Push him out the way of the attack!
"Lighting body! Goddess, Super Speed!" Aza screamed, dashing towards the now almost trapped and killed Koji. That's when blood flew everywhere.
"Koji?"
"Aza!"
