Trouble.

It walks into the room unnoticed

Because no one is paying attention

Cuts through the air like a hot knife

Clamoring in the middle of the night

Like a tantruming child

Banging on the pots and pans.

Trouble.

Because attention is all it wants

No matter how much or little it is given

It will knock over the trash can inside your closet Full of skeletons.

Because it can.

And it will.

Trouble.

It comes with a pair of shades on at night

In a dark room with the bright lights

It comes in an insincere smile and a laugh

Finger guns and a compliment to match.

Knows just when you're having too much fun.

In the form of stealing life's gifts

All the while sticks to an altruistic bit.

But that's just it, trouble's a bitch.
