"Apollo. I hate this."
"I hate this too. I think you deserve a spot there. You should have definitely been the first name called."
"No! It's more than that. I hate being in this family. I used to think I wanted to join them but I don't... I hate them!"
"Come on, you don't hate them."
"Oh, I do! I hate them so much! I wished they all died!" For the first time ever Apollo couldn't just feel it he could smell it, he felt like he could touch it. It was so negative energy that was choking him. Making him suffocate in pure rage and hatred.
"So this is how you really feel?" Apollo said, holding his neck, losing air.
"What's wrong with you!?" Dazin screeches, scared of what is happening to his friend.
"Don't worry about that..." Apollo started to take breaths in between each and every syllable trying to gain his breath through the menacing emotion around him.
"Just calm down, and remember. No matter what I'm here, you don't need them. You only need those who care for you. I'll be one of those people. If you allow me to. Just calm down and talk with me, I'll listen to every word you can rant for hours. Just don't let this much hatred get to you."
Just like that the mind of Dazin started to clear, the air loosened up, and Apollo was able to breathe again. "Oh thank god."
"What?"
"Nothing, just felt short of breath or something. Anyways, what's wrong? Or I guess more accurately, what do you want to talk about? I'm all ears."
"Well, now I don't know. A while ago it felt like my brain was clouded, like everything I couldn't think straight. Just see this blurry vision but once you came it was a whole lot better. Thank you, for helping me out there. I'm fine now."
"Glad to hear. You are sad and angry, kind of creepy in a way. Considering you're always so happy and always know what to do."
"That's the thing. I don't know what I want to do. I used to be happy and know what to do, now I'm just lost."
"What happened to trying to become the head?"
"You've seen it. It's just been causing me stress and me becoming the black sheep of the family. They'll hate me even if I am the head. The people here will probably hate me too then since Dad is such a good leader. I'm worthless now."
"You're losing sight already? Man, I thought I was the one who had no ambitions. Dazin, you're amazing. The family would love you as the head. No matter what you're father and brother think. If they have a problem, deal with them."
"You're saying to kill them!?"
"No! Just saying finds ways around them. You're Dazin! This is what you do all the time."
"So what become the head and have my family hate me?"
"No. Become the head and make them bow to you. Make them realize you're on the top."
"That's kind of dark. Your eyes are starting to glow with fire as well. You're really serious then, huh?" "Totally, serious. How they're making you feel is annoying to me."
"You're talking a lot of game here, but would you help me?"
"Would I help? You're my best friend in the entire world... some would say my only. I'll die to make you become the head if it makes you happy."
"Die!? I wouldn't want to become head that bad! Afterall what's good about becoming head if I don't have my friend by my side?" Apollo's smile filled his face, knowing he forever had Dazin, his best friend.
"I'm hungry after all this. Even though it was oddly short, like I thought this would be a life-changing moment for me, I just needed a little kindness I guess." Dazin states getting up and smiling at Apollo.
"So... Does that mean...?"
"Yes. Let's grab some steaks, you can pick the place."
"Yes! See this is why you're my best friend! Let's go to... that restaurant next to Joe's Donuts! Beef Beef's They have great slices there."
"Okay, okay. Let's go Apollo." Leaving the alley with smiles on their faces. Nothing could ever go wrong.
