Exhausted!
In pain!
Starving!
All these sensations surged into my brain at once!
I struggled to move my body, which felt completely drained.
Yet, my mind and body still refused to cooperate.
Though my limbs wouldn’t obey, my eyes could see, and my ears could hear.
The seven floating "7"s from before had vanished. In their place, an ancient, cream-colored mechanical flip-clock hung on the green wall.
This type of wall clock was a relic—I’d only ever seen broken ones in museums.
What shocked me were the frozen numbers displayed on it.
**January 1st, 00:07.**
This old-style flip-clock didn’t show the year or even the seconds.
Beyond the ringing in my ears, I could hear voices.
A shiver ran through me.
There are people outside!
It had been so long since I’d encountered anyone else.
