Foreign ocean vista, Lustenora.
Crystal stones, sand with aesthetic gradations of color, fireflies, and phosphorous glow around the crab shells when they are inundated by the sweeping waves for a moment. Like a dream that is too impossible to come true, even though it happened.
The water is indeed clear, normal sea water in general. It's just that, from a distance the ocean reflects the color of the sky, as if it were the second sky. Black with twinkling stars.
So, if it's night, where is the moon? Since it is a foreign place, it is necessary to find a solution to this question.
Apart from all that, Lustenora is a tourist spot that cannot be found by anyone at any time, except those who are looking for it.
Lustenora has beauty for anyone who yearns for it. Lustenora has a calm atmosphere for anyone who yearns for it. Lustenora is a tourist spot for the dreamer, for those who dream it.
It's just that, apart from all that and needs to be underlined. Where is that place still not known exactly the ins and outs and rules of life, where that place holds the potential for danger that is almost the same class as a dark fantasy film…
Lustenora, is simply a foreign ocean vista.
Meanwhile…
A parasol (beach umbrella) with a wide cross-section, surrounded by small yellow, red, green, blue lights, flashing at certain intervals. A row of sentient beings sat in a circle in an awkward manner.
The centerpiece of the parasol is a color-changing LED bulb illuminating a round wooden table that can be rotated at will.
The table is solid and stable, despite treading on that aesthetic sand. The table is shaded by a fairly large pot made of red ceramic. When the lid was opened, steam billowed out impatiently.
"Anything to add, Mercy?" The Nerd dumped about twenty empty plastic grocery bags in a large basket that lined a nearby wastebasket.
Mercy smelled the steam from which the pot lid had just been opened. From the base of the steam, various food ingredients such as radishes, potatoes, mushrooms, mustard greens, noodles, eggs, short plate meat, sausages, carrots and hot gravy bubbled golden in color.
"It does realllyyy smells good, doctor, mmmm! But…” Mercy moved the gravy spoon while probing. “I think we need some more mushrooms and radishes? And…"
#Bluk
Mercy took a little of the broth.
#Slluurp!
“Adding a bit of instant mushroom broth, salt, and a little sugar is perfect!”
“You will get it!”
Nerd pawed his magic duffel, while the direction of his visitor's gaze stared in surprise at Nerd's cute little frog sling bag.
Since earlier, Nerd took out food ingredients from there. They think anything from the mouth of the green frog sling bag can hold all sorts of things. Even though in their minds they said it was impossible, that fact was still not told by Nerd.
So,
After unwrapping the plastic, Nerd whistled as he dipped two packs of mushrooms, two packs of radishes, and all the complete spices Mercy had just asked for.
Nerd’s guests shook their heads in astonishment. They gaped, 'Just how much food does this geeky looks human have?' they thought.
While Mercy took off her apron after placing the cutting board sideways. She put the bowls while turning the table to make it easier.
Two bowls for Nerd and herself, Mercy. While the other four bowls are for the guests. Well, can't say the guest anyway...
"WHAT DO YOU THINK!? THAT IS THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY RIGHT NOW!” Aquina protested, a mermaid who had just been saved from her critical period.
Aquina, the mermaid, had been growling. The reason is, even though she sits between Nerd and Mercy, in front of her are three harpies who are responsible for her critical injuries.
The reason is, the awkward atmosphere, the inner battle, for the next hour will be the main dish. Even though the large pot contained an unmissable fragrance, as well as the hateful and vengeful glares between the harpies and a mermaid.
Who's the enemy? Who's against? Nerds don't mind clichés like that.
"You think we're happy? Obviously not! More importantly, good food is good food! Good food is priority, correct?” Avete turned to her friends Tylophis and Doreris. They unanimously shouted excitedly while saying 'You fishy fish!'
By now the three harpies had removed their helmets. Nerds can get to know them more fully.
Avete, who Nerd would most recognize by the mole (beauty mark) near her chin, was in a ponytail.
Doreris, who is quite frontal, surprisingly has a much prettier hairstyle than the three. Long straight with braids like a palace princess.
Meanwhile Tylophis, the most brutal and very psychopathic, short hair asymmetrical comb.
All three of them have the same hair color, ruby red, and their fur is also identical. They wore the least amount of lipstick except Avete, and by far the worst Tylophis style of makeup. The powder is uneven and the lipstick is a bit less symmetrical.
“Hey! After this meal is over, we're back to feuding, you moron!” Doreris arrogantly replied.
Hearing that, Aquina growled even more. Conditions are heating up for obvious reasons, a business that tastes bitter. As hot as the contents of the red ceramic pot that contained it was clearly taste delicious.
Mercy turned the table again, and filled their bowls with the appropriate pots that each bowl contained. Everything is full and filled, so no one to complain.
“Wo-woaah! I've never seen food like this before!?” Avete rubbed her hands together, her lips starting to drool.
The three harpies without hesitation ate the food in front of them without hesitation. Aquina remained silent, however, and stared for a moment at the three harpies whose eating habits were so primitive and disgusting with extreme hatred. The harpies immediately ate with both hands and sipped the warm broth without fear of overheating.
"Aquina?" Nerd called out to Aquina who was feeling uneasy.
"What?" she replied, just glancing to her right.
They stared at each other for a moment. Nerd perfectly understood how much Aquina hated this situation. After all, Aquina's face was too familiar to Nerd's memory. Nerd put a little worry.
For a moment, they seemed to bond in an almost romantic scene.
"Are you in period?"
"Huh?"
"Huh?" one of Aquina's eyes narrowed and her eyebrows rose one side like a slide.
Unfortunately, Nerd's worry that his language is not quite right, will only grow a feeling of hatred that is quite large. Nerd is indeed the best in terms of development and strategic role distribution, but he is the worst in reading the atmosphere.
“H-HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT!?” Aquina pounded lightly on the table, her canines bitten earnestly. "You're mocking me?"
Mercy, who had just sat down and was about to spoon, spontaneously slapped her forehead at Nerd's stupid words. Meanwhile, the three harpies were prancing and laughing at Aquina.
Aquina was very upset and burned. Her presence being made into a joke, was what Aquina thought. She thought of forgetting about the stupid 'alliance' that Nerd had so clearly offered before.
However, when Aquina was about to leave the sorority that meant for her to simply 'mock herself'...
"I'm so sure, you will miss this golden opportunity?" Nerd grabbed Aquina's right hand.
“The only golden opportunity you're talking about is this ridiculous thing!”
As Aquina still insisted on leaving, Nerd's came on second warning. It was as if a strong wind suddenly passed by, about to hold the mermaid's shoulder.
“When you end up regretting it later, you'll realize that opportunity can't be obtained again, and you… will blame yourself, you know?” now the Nerd's voice was serious, as serious as his gaze.
Aquina then turned to look at the harpy's face which was now silent as well and ate quietly. Meanwhile, Mercy, who had been smiling with her eyes closed, was now completely open.
Aquina swallowed her saliva, shook off her ego, and sat back down. Aquina looked around her again. However, there were still… a few things that made her doubtful. Not just being confronted with the harpy, but the little things that made the tension a bit higher.
Once again, the atmosphere was awkward again.
“Tell me, humans, why do you… and this wraith, have a spoon and we and the bird don't?”
The three harpies were silent for a moment, looking viciously at the mermaid. They growled and whispered to each other.
"You want a spoon?" Nerd offered.
“That's our usual etiquette at the dinner table. We are a great nation!” Aquina spontaneously replied.
"Well, you'll get one."
Nerd ignored his first mouthful for a moment, grabbed his magic duffel, and handed Aquina the spoon and fork.
"Easy as that?"
"You just have to ask, really," Nerd replied with warm smile.
Aquina glanced to the left, Mercy calmed down again with narrow eyes that were almost closed and a warm with her strange smile.
Now they are all enjoying a soup filled with complex vegetables and side dishes. Everyone can enjoy and the content is very much. The harpies, taller than Nerd, Mercy, or even Aquina, had to give up after three more additions to the full bowl. Their stomach doesn't want to add one more item.
Even so, Aquina found it odd, because the red pot still seemed to be full. Plus, Nerd who doesn't mind the disgusting way harpies eat.
“So… Nerd. Aren't you bothered by their disgusting way of eating?”
Aquina's words had instantly provoked the emotions of the three harpies whose teeth were as sharp as blades. Although, emotions are less competitive with comfortable conditions because the stomach is full.
“A problem? No. It will only damage the alliance,” Nerd scooped up the soup again and filled his bowl.
Aquina was still unsure of Nerd's intentions. Aquina doesn't need answers that are round and round and not to the point.
"Hey, mermais!" called Avete, this time not with 'fishy fish' or such insults.
Aquina with a cold gaze, had no other choice but to turn to her.
"Do you want to knoq why do we have to kill you?"
"Huh?"
Doreris screamed with all her might, very, very, very frontal.
“FOR THE FOOD, YOU MORON! THERE IS NO MORE FOOD FOR US ON THE MAINLAND! EVEN IT EXIST, WE HAVE TO FIGHT MECHANICALLY AGAINST A MUCH MORE POWERFUL VOID CREATURE! SOME FRUITS ARE TOXIC AND WE HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THAT!? THEN YOU THINK WE HAVE TO FIND OUT FORK FIRST BEFORE EATING, HUH!?”
Mermaids are said in history to be ethical, moral, and far more intellectual than other merpeople. They have a deep sense of empathy and sympathy – the depths of the ocean trough.
Not because Doreris is frontal and lacks ethics, but because she, and her comrades, has no other choice.
Just to eat, the starving soul needed to trade its strength for its life.
Just because of starving, which incidentally has lost half of its strength, means that it has deposited half of its life.
Aquina was silent in a thousand languages, because she had been slapped hard through her own empathic instincts.
A long history left behind, the revolution against the merpeople and the mainlanders' battle, certainly made a change. That battle though, missed its main outcome, saving the princess.
The princess has not yet been found. The merpeople's triumph, put a big, wide smile on their face for a while. They forgot something important. Either because they managed to snatch ¾ of the cake? They have their own goals that fill their own stomachs.
At least for the Merpeople.
Meanwhile, the defeat for the losing side, after a meaningless battle and presumably due to other interests, is none other than selfishness. It breeds petty grudges, but the hatred is more enduring. They remember something important. Either they want to snatch ¾ of the cake that has been taken? They band together to survive because their resources have run out, by eating the merpeople.
Eating a different race, is not counting something as heavy as cannibals. That's rational in the precarious situation they experienced.
At least for the harpies.
