Sim slowly woke up and lifted his head up, but when he went to move he felt restraints all over his body. Multiple handcuffs and restraints running from his wrists to his elbows, the same thing from his ankles to his knees, a few restraints around his waist and hips, along with one attached to his neck and the chair he was sitting in.
Sim looked forward to see he was sitting in what looked like a police interrogation room, but the only furniture was the chair he was sitting in. There was no table, and the one way mirror was much smaller than others.
He turned his head to the side as much as he could, unable to see a door of any kind.
“Where the fuck are we?” Sim asked.
“I’m not sure.” Polymon replied.
Sim tried to move, but all of the restraints were too tight to allow anything to move.
His eyes were locked on the wall when it suddenly opened up, a doorway forming from thin air as the two agents wearing the black suits walked in, then the doorway disappeared.
“Who are you…” Sim started, but quickly Polymon took over and tried to break the restraints, but they held him back.
“And why are we here?” Polymon shouted.
The two people didn’t react at all as they walked over. A table seemed to form from the floor, like liquid moved around into the shape of a table before it became solid.
“I am Agent A, this Agent Y. How are you doing today Simon?” The woman said as she stared into Polymon’s eyes.
“A little tense.” Polymon replied.
Agent A stared deeper into his eyes.
“Didn’t his file say his eyes were bright green?” She asked.
Agent Y looked closely.
“It did. Are they able to change their eye color?” He asked.
“None that we’ve seen before.” Agent A replied.
“What are you talking about?” Polymon asked.
Agent A pulled out a small remote from their suit jacket and pressed a button. Every single restraint around Polymon fired electricity and caused him to scream loudly, the scream changing into a demonic howl and screech.
The electricity stopped as Polymon was panting and struggling to breathe. The agents looked at each other confused.
“You’re not one of them are you?” Agent Y asked.
“One of who?” Polymon asked.
The Agents looked at each other before Agent A pulled a small needle out of her suit jacket pocket. She walked over and stabbed it into Polymon’s neck, using it to draw blood before handing it to Agent Y.
“Get this to the lab.” She said.
Agent Y took it and walked towards the wall as it opened up into a doorway, closing after he walked through.
“So, Simon…” Agent A said. Polymon began to twitch as his hands tried to turn into fists.
“Please…the name…is Sim.” He replied.
“Sim? Alright.” Agent A said, waving her hand as the paper file suddenly changed what was written on it.
“So, tell me about yourself.” She said.
Polymon smiled and closed his eyes.
When they opened, Sim stared out with a pained smile of his own.
“Well…grew up like any normal kid. Mother was…” Sim started.27Please respect copyright.PENANAvq0jsSeIJd
“No, none of that. We know all about that kind of stuff.” Agent A replied.
“Then what do you want me to talk about?” Sim asked.
“There are some things we don’t quite understand. Like how you managed to escape from a juvenile detention center. Well not just escape, but you left every single staff member dead.”
Agent A turned the remote to the mirror, which suddenly changed into a television screen. Security footage of a teenage Simon inside of a small juvenile detention setting/asylum. Men and women wearing white lab coats along with people in police uniforms were trying to restrain him, but Simon was tearing through them with ease, removing limbs and biting their flesh before ripping violently.
“Polymon…what the fuck is that?” Sim whispered to himself.
“You remember when we first met?” Polymon asked.
“Yeah.” Sim replied.27Please respect copyright.PENANAfYLN3IvqWV
“You blacked out and I took over. That’s what happened.” Polymon replied as Sim continued to watch the footage, watching his teenage self murder a whole battalion of people with ease.
The Agent turned the screen to more security footage, showing Dark Angel throughout the years, tearing into criminals and leaving behind mangled corpses for the police to find.
Agent A turned to look at Sim, watching for his reaction as he continued to watch the things that Polymon had made him do.
She finally turned it off and put the remote back on the table.
“Right now we have nearly a hundred people’s deaths tied to you.” Agent A said.
“I think they missed a few.” Polymon said inside of Sim’s head, making Sim quickly turn his head to try and get out of the restraints.
“Is something bothering you Simon?” Agent A asked.
Sim’s body twitched more as his fingers tried their best to curl.
“I told you that is not my name anymore.” Sim said.
Agent A leaned over her table and removed her sunglasses to stare intensely into Sim’s eyes.
“Does the name Simon bother you?” She asked.27Please respect copyright.PENANA4JUo5UljMe
Sim twitched again as his hands clenched into tight fists.
“Well if you’re not what we think you are, then what the hell are you Simon?” She asked.
Sim continued to twitch more and more pronounced as his body was starting to shake in the restraints.
“I will just cut straight to the point Simon.” Agent A said.
Sim was shaking violently enough that the restraints were all starting to rattle and jingle.
“Are you an Anomaly?” Agent A asked.
Sim’s body suddenly stopped in its place as his nervous face quickly changed to confusion.27Please respect copyright.PENANAAW3FUnZqVJ
“A what?” Sim asked.
Agent A kept staring.
“Are you an Anomaly?” Agent A asked again.
“Polymon, do you know what that is?” Sim whispered to himself while trying not to move his lips.
“Oh shit.” Polymon said.
“What is it?” Sim whispered again.
“In Hell, we know about Anomalies, but I just thought it was a myth. Like how you people talk about Demons and monsters.” Polymon said.
“Well apparently they’re real.” Sim whispered again.
“Who are you talking to?” Agent A asked, leaning closer.
Sim looked back with a fearful and confused stare.
“I got a voice inside of my head.” Sim replied dryly.
“We haven’t met any who have experienced that so that’s good.” Agent A responded.
“Why is that good?” Sim asked.
“Because we can have a better understanding of how you work.” Agent A replied.
Agent Y walked back in and removed his sunglasses as Agent A turned to look at him.
“His blood came back negative.” Agent Y said.
Agent A looked surprised and a little upset before looking back at Sim.
“If he isn’t an Anomaly, then what the fuck is he?” She asked.
“Well, his blood came back negative in that…but it did have something else we’ve never seen before.” Agent Y said.
Agent A quickly turned to look at him.27Please respect copyright.PENANALcb0aL3XeW
“What is it?” She asked.
Sim closed his eyes and concentrated as Polymon was very slowly taking over his body.
“It’s something that we’ve never seen before. His blood…it was like…”
Polymon used all of the demonic power he had, breaking every restraint around his body as he quickly stood up, kicking the table, which became liquid in midair and splashed onto the two agents before falling to the floor and seeming to absorb back into it.
Agent A pulled out her gun when Polymon kicked her hard in the gut, sending her flying back into the one way mirror, her head whipping back and creating a large crack as she fell to the floor.
Agent Y grabbed his gun and raised it as Polymon grabbed it by the front. Agent Y fired and the bullet shot through Polymon’s hand, but Polymon immediately punched Y in the face and knocked him out after. Polymon then walked over to the wall, which opened up into a doorway as he stepped out into a nearly endless hallway with no doors, no windows, and nothing hanging up on them. The endless expanse of white went both directions as Polymon kept looking, deciding which way to go.
“We need to find Lawton.” Sim said inside his head.
Polymon finally decided to run left, the door disappearing behind him. Agent A was sitting on the floor holding her head as she slowly moved to the remote she was holding earlier. She pressed one of the buttons, a loud alarm blaring throughout the building.
Polymon continued to run down the hall as the alarm started, making him grab his head to try and deafen the noise.
Polymon walked over to the wall, but it didn’t open. He gritted his teeth and suddenly punched through the wall, creating a large hole as he stared into another room like his, a young adult man sitting on the floor with his ankles shackled to the floor.
“Please…help me…”
Polymon stared at the man.
His skin was incredibly dry and pale, like he had been dehydrated for months. His hair was incredibly thin and his eyes were surrounded by dark circles. Polymon looked around for a bit before stepping into the room, making his way over to the shackles around his feet. Polymon broke them both and helped the man stand, holding him up as they walked down the hallway.
“Where are we?” Polymon asked.
“I…don’t know…” The man replied, his body unable to support itself.
Polymon kept carrying him before they bumped into another wall.
Polymon pushed the man away and punched through it again.
Officer Lawton was sitting in a chair with a table in front of him, drinking a cup of hot chocolate while there were a large assortment of snacks and food on the table.
“What the fuck?” Polymon and Sim both shouted.
Lawton jumped up and looked at Polymon, his entire body seeming to freeze.27Please respect copyright.PENANAHpObwcQg6Q
“Simon?” Lawton asked.
“We’ll discuss this later. We need to…”
The young man pushed past Polymon and stumbled to the table, grabbing whatever food he can and eating it as quickly as he can. Lawton looked confused when the man suddenly took the hot chocolate from his hands, drinking the entire thing quickly.
Polymon felt a violent gust of wind run past his neck and immediately ducked down. He turned to the side to see a few people in advanced swat gear running towards him.27Please respect copyright.PENANAc5RSvWsyI4
“We need to get out of here now!” Polymon shouted.
Lawton ran over to Polymon to see the team while the young man was still eating.
Polymon and Lawton both went to grab each other’s hands. Once their hands found each other, they looked at each other in tense silence for a few seconds before they both ran down the hall away from the soldiers.
The young man was still eating as one of the soldiers stopped, lifting up a large rifle.
“Hands up now!” The soldier shouted.
The man slowly turned around, his eyes beginning to glow a subtle blue color.
As Polymon and Lawton kept running, they blindly ran into walls since the turns and corners were nearly impossible to see.
“How are we supposed to get out of here?” Lawton asked.
“I don’t know! We just need to keep…”
The entire building began to shake as Lawton and Polymon looked at each other. The shaking only became more violent before they both felt water running past their feet. They looked down to see the ground covered in water that only grew higher and higher. Polymon looked down as a massive wave suddenly smashed into the wall and turned around the corner towards them.
“Fuck!” Polymon immediately started to run, Lawton struggling to keep up.
The wave kept racing quickly down the hall before it overtook Lawton, pushing him back into the water as Polymon kept running.
“I don’t know if we’ll ever get out of here!” Sim shouted inside his head.
“Thanks for the confidence boost!” Polymon shouted back out loud.
Polymon went to turn another corner, but was blasted by another wave right in the face, sending him flying back and nearly knocking him out.
As Polymon looked around while under water, he spotted more soldiers as well as the young man, who was swimming with ease while holding onto Lawton. His skin looked refreshed and his entire body just looked completely healthy again. The man grabbed hold of Polymon’s hand just as he started to fade.
