A faded idea it was.

Entangled in crooked jaws.

Pictured and dazzled with a fixture.

Words rhyming sweet, but a bitter mixture.

Let’s play nice, oh let’s play right.

A game for one as it was for two!

Broken into pieces, and riddled in rust.

A bowl, filled with hate and mixed with despair.

They were lying damsels in distress, or was it I?

Pitied by many, and used as expected, so weak and withered.

A broken heart, framed in a crying blue lapiz square.

A tune singing out a farewell, and a VHS playing on repeat.

A loss for words… That rhyme had disappeared…

A story whispered from right to left, from sky to land.

We only wish, it wasn’t something that was planned.

Replaced, recycled? Reused and short-fused.

Sparked like a broken wire, and wilted like a dying rose.

It all became slow, a downfall that dissolved into nothing.

A battlefield littered with a bitter decade of pain.

They wanted a nice, pretty face…

It was too bad we were just a waste.
