"Doubtful," Damien replied as he flexed his hands, and lightning sparked around them, displaying their powers had returned. "Considering how the other mindscapes worked, I have the feeling had you chosen yourself, everyone's deaths would've been permanent."
"This pneumarian's willing to kill us. Considering what that'd do to the planet, she doesn't seem friendly," Naomi commented skeptically.
"Her methods are eccentric, but she hasn't put the planet at risk at all," Damien reminded her. "We die here; we're catatonic out there."
"Catatonic but alive," Arne added before looking at Trevor.
"So that was that weight I saw in your eyes when we fought. You wanted to fight to prove your strength. To prove you weren't a coward," Arne remarked tactlessly. "Strange. The way you fought against me didn't display your resolve to be better."
"Shut up, dammit!" Trevor exclaimed. "I know that. I would've been killed eventually had Pops not found me. After what I did...he still saw worth in me. Took me in. I've always wanted to be a better version of myself and finally prove my strength, but the moment I had the chance, I just couldn't...I still acted like a coward. I thought once I was given these powers...I don't know, maybe I could—"
"You thought you could redeem yourself," Arne surmised for him.
"Yeah."
"How would defeating someone who you assumed you outclassed have redeemed you?" Arne pointed out. "You sold out your comrades to save yourself. I don't see how your approach would've felt redeeming had you succeeded."
"Then what should I do?" Trevor shrugged, lost.
"That's for you to figure out. Should your resolve prove strong enough, then you will see what path you must take in time," Arne told him, placing a firm hand on his shoulder.
Damien looked at Arne and smiled.
"Insightful," he said. "Been speaking to Viraa a lot lately?"
"Well, I think you did great," Wren said, praising her brother. "You just tried to sacrifice yourself, not knowing it'd undo everything. You've taken a step in the right direction for sure."
This made Trevor smile a bit as another rift manifested. It was made of stone and dirt and swallowed them before Arne could even be made aware of its presence.
Everyone emerged in an underground dungeon. Around them were chambers, and in those chambers, Trevor could see cages. Within them were what Trevor assumed to be Arne's memories.
As for each of Trevor and the others individually, they each took the form of small rabbits, strangely enough. Their rabbit ears picked up the presence of two predators – wolves hidden further back, stalking them. Judging from the setting, Trevor concluded that the further inward they went, the more active the wolves would pursue them. Yet they couldn't just stand around either. They were about to be hunted...

Fun fact: Detonate - A passive mystic cintracy that gives Trevor's spirit energy the properties of highly flammable smoke and allows him to create explosions by condensing and igniting portions of his spirit energy.
Those under the effects who forcibly try to harm the user suffer internal damage and bleeding that could ultimately kill them.
