“I don’t know where you go but grab you something’s and head out.” My mother said.
This isn’t the first time my mother has kicked me out for some dick. If it was one thing I couldn’t stand about my mama was she loved to chose a man over me. My name was Tahlia Banks I am 16 years old and my mother was addicted to dick. Last year she kicked me out because she swore I wanted her boyfriend who wasn’t shit. I stayed in my room studying. I was a straight A student and on my way out this hood as far as I knew but here I was trash bag full of clothes on my way to the train went to these last few years my mom has kicked me out.
The house wasn’t shit. It was condemned and had roaches and rats but it was warm in the winder and place for me to sleep at in the summer. I looked around wondering when I was gonna get saved. So I went to school and delt with my shit. Then it was Jules “Verse” Carver. He was the finest boy in school. He was on the football team and he wasn’t like all the other boys around him. Yeah he hustled but he was in my poetry club and the boy had a soft side. He was quiet and stuck to himself but for the last few weeks he’s sat with me at lunch.
”You don’t have friends?” He asked me randomly.
”No.” I said dryly drawing on my notebook.
”Me either. Not any real ones I guess.” He shrugged and didn’t say nothing else.
I was in my elgebra 2 class day dreaming about what Jules said. Jules was super popular so him not having any true friends was kinda weird as fuck. What was he hiding that he didn’t consider anyone friends. I stayed back to study in the library and didn’t get out of school till five. I was walking when Jules offered me a ride but I declined I didn’t want anyone knowing my moms kicked me out again.
The next day I came to school early and took a shower in the locker room and changed my clothes. I went about the day like it was regular. Shit it was regular and then lunch came and instead of Jules sitting at my table he was at the table with the popular kids. We made eye contact but he never moved.
