Lain could only say, “Thank you, brother Hui Shi. I’ll try to avoid going to these untouchable zones in the future as well.” as he marveled at the mysteries of the world in his head.
Hui Shi, after waiting for a couple of minutes while the other two contemplated their own ideas in their heads, finally realized that they had no more questions to ask him, so he slowly stood up and said to them. “Brother Lain, why don’t I show you around your new home, that way you can understand how to navigate it in the future, since you may not be used to our city’s architecture.”
Seeing Hui Shi get up, Lain, and Annette followed, with Lain saying, “Thank you, brother Hui Shi. I’ve been meaning to ask you how this key works as well.”
Hearing his words, Hui Shi walked over to Lain, bypassing the standing Annette that was situated between them, and said, “This key functions as both a remote and a key. Lain, hearing his words quickly pushed at the center of the stone key, which concaved slightly at his touch, before a holographic screen appeared in front of him that was as wide as a 40-inch TV.
Inside the screen, was a menu with words at the top, and a blank, white canvas below it. On the menu were the words, doors, living room, kitchen, bedroom 1, and bedroom 2.
Looking at the menu that popped up, Hui Shi then said, “Click on the living room menu button at the top. It’ll display all the settings and changes that you can make within the living room.”
Hearing Hui Shi’s words, Lain quickly reached towards the living room section of the menu, accurately touching it.
