Chapter Three
Harry Potter arrived at Diagon Alley. He was surprised to know that all of them were at the Book Store, where Gilderoy Lockhart was promoting his non-fiction tales of magical adventure. With him was Dobby the house elf. He had a bad feeling when Lucius Malfoy appeared. 'Draco!', he said. Draco smirked at the elf. Then he watched the vain looking Hogwarts author, who was smiling. 'Yes, I know. You do know it's me, don't you; yes. As you've all seen my face, and read my books, I am sure all of you shall know that I've come from The Leaky Cauldron. This year, I am sure the Dark Lord isn't around, as I've battled monsters in my travels', Lockhart said. Harry thought that he was horrible, and he didn't want to see him. Ginny Weasley, Molly Weasley, and the other members of the Weasley children, moaned and groaned about how expensive the books were, even on Arthur Weasley's wages. Lucius Malfoy waited.
'Ah, Harry Potter. So, we're to meet here. Lucius Malfoy'.
'I don't think we've met'.
"No. no. I am sure the Dark Lord is gone'.
'Lord Voldemort'.
'Ah, yes, very bold of you, Potter; Besides, Dobby, my house elf, has told me all about the Sorcerer's Stone'.
'It's been destroyed. And Nicholas Flamel, and his wife, are dead'.299Please respect copyright.PENANA5ZP5gLexfJ
'That is sad. Draco, we need to pay for those books'.
''Meet you at Hogwarts, Potter', Draco sneered.
And Harry sighed, and saw Ginny Weasley.'
'Here's some sickles for one of the books, Ginny'.
'Thank you, Harry', Ginny smiled.
'You're welcome. You need some of the books'.
'That's very kind of you, Harry', Molly Weasley said.
The book was called: Gadding with Ghouls.
Afterwards, everyone left to go to Platform 9 3/4. It was 10:45 AM. Fifteen minutes to go before the 11:00 siren blared for the Hogwarts Express train to take them to Scotland, to the magic castle.
